I had some crossovers I trapped every year for twenty years until the ole back wouldn’t let me get back there anymore, nice slides on those to👍 good job son, keep er goin!
Nice work, Care to show yer lock on the rods? U have inspired me to purchase 6 MB's and I have the Rebar......Just would like to see the slide lock you use/fab. Thanks in advance
Great video as always. What do you have to do if you have some incidentals after your limit ? Also , what do you do as a profeshin that allows you to trap this much or are you solely a trapper ?
Great video! Just one question.. do otter normally crossover when theres a culvert like that? Why wouldn't they just swim through the culvert. I'm to water trapping, this is my 1st year. Also just wanted to say thanks for the great vids. I followed a few of your sets and got my first 2 beaver on Sunday. 37lb and 42lb!
How do you prep the pelts for registration? I got my first one in a beaver set and not sure what the best way is after skinning. Should I flesh and salt it or just leave it skinned?
I have a small creek on my property that I have trapped a few beaver out of before but there are quite a few muskrats in there but I’m not sure where to find houses and feed mats for them any recommendations on what to do or what to look for?
On a small creek you probably aren't looking for muskrat houses, they'll likely be bank dens, they just dig up into the bank, look for murky trails in the water, and paths through the weeds, or places where sand and gravel is displaced, and look for little bits of roots and bulbs and other half eaten vegetation in the water and on the shore. It takes a little practice, and soon enough they'll be sticking out to you like a sore thumb
The trout are thankful I'm sure :). Iv been told not sure if it's true but a pair of otter can clear out a spring stock of trout in a matter of weeks .let me know if that is true or not. Thanks
HEY BUD-- don't be worrying about mixing up your thoughts and words....there's alot of info and knowledge needed to DO AND PRODUCE the RESULTS you ROUTINELY DO.......there ain't one TRUE OUTDOORSMAN THATS GOONA GIVE 2 OTTER SH!TS ABOUT MIXING COUPLE WORDS UP if the solid enginuity and context is there....ONLY JEALOUSY IS GONNA CARE ABOUT THAT.....KEEP BEING YOU because there's not many of your kind and no one these days are making anymore

Just wondering where you got your toboggan? Brand name? Great video...thank you for sharing.
It's a small sled made by otter outdoors
@@330Maniac Thanks for the reply. I was actually asking for the brand name of your knit hat - "skully" :).
Awesome fricken video. 👊💀🍻🇺🇲🍻
Good stuff as always
Oh Snap! Commented before I watched the whole vid and realized that you must be in MN?
So if you're only allowed 4, but you accidentally catch more, like today you got one in a beaver set, what happens? You just can't sell the pelt?
No it must be turned in to the local conservation officer
Sweet vid! Insane!! Do you trap coyotes or fox?

Amazing views cant beat it
The hot rumor this year is the Chinese are buying every river otter.
Great vid. I did a shout out in my vid I'll be putting out soon on a trick I learned from you. Just hope I didnt butcher your channel name.
I'll be watching! Thanks!
Nice!
Awesome
So how do you keep the ring from slipping off the rod?
There is a welded piece of metal on the bottom of the rod
What tannery do you use?
You just saved a ton of fish lol.
The trout are thankful I'm sure :). Iv been told not sure if it's true but a pair of otter can clear out a spring stock of trout in a matter of weeks .let me know if that is true or not. Thanks
Already iced up. Brrr
Good to see trapping videos again. Keep trapping.
Have you ever tried the dogless traps
I thing I would have set 3 220 conibears on those runs
I could have used conibears for sure but footholds on rods are fun and won't freeze up as easily
Is the drowning lock home made?
Yes I made these ones myself
@@330Maniac cover the mechanism on one of your shows I watch all I can you educate very well
deadly bud make er look easy lol
Are otter hides worth something
Yes
Scott what are the chances a guy could come with ya for a day and watch you work?
How far away are ya? I bring people with quite often in my line just for fun

Hey man the wandering what otter is used for. Never heard of otter being used for meat or anything else. Interested to know.
what state?
Minnesota
Great video as always and an extremely massive congrats from Canada with your election results!
Why ??????
🙈
Use that magical Google button and research why people trap 👀
Otters are not for killing. There is no reason to kill them. Just catch them and move them to a better area.
Unfortunately you're wrong like other people that say this. They decimate small lakes, pond and streams that hold fish
Have 3 otters just moved in a beaver pond and the owner used the same word as the description "Dessimate" the fish population in the small pond.
