I think both parties are just as clueless (for the lack of a better word) and hesitant when it comes to the decision of how their future will go on from now. Isaac says that he is willing to give up the work he's been doing for years, the work he devoted himself to because he wants to help people. But the question I would ask him is: how long will that last until it turns into regret? Call it insecurity, but I could not imagine myself asking my partner to choose me over their career. And I would rather not hear them voice out that regret if an argument about choices ever happens. As for the listener, it seems like they're set on leaving because of their reminder to Isaac that they have freedom just as any other person do, regardless of their history and the work they're doing now. But towards the end, I took it as their hesitation to choose the freedom that meant leaving, when they asked if Isaac was firing them at the mention of the other choice they could make. I do love Isaac's proposal about staying in their line of work and if the listener stays, he'd put in the effort of slowly taking out the metaphorical walls and going outside with them every now and then. I love my obsessive and possessive characters to the point they can be considered to be a yandere but that's not what I hope would be the ending for these two. I hope they'd get an ending they both deserve, where they're truly happy with the choice. And not just because the person they love chose it, but because they also want it for themselves. I'm excited and nervous for what the future for these two will be! I agree with the description, it's hard to see how Isaac's story will go with how it treads on the line between deep into the lore and a "regular" story; that it could discuss the lore as it did on his early audios or focus on building his and the listener's character and story, maybe both? Anyway, you did an amazing job! This would be the perfect situation to say that I have absolutely no idea how things will turn up.
I love that his possessive side doesn’t come from his insecurity as a person. Comes literally from a child that has been through so much and now that has the opportunity to feel again he acts like a scared child will do, he doesn’t want to let go y/n but is aware of his paranoia and y/n doesn’t encourage this behavior, they ask questions and is assertive, I love that he is in disposition to listen and analyze his own behavior and change not only for y/n but for himself, because he wants to be better. I really love all the characters of this channel and that finally the slow burn in this series is paying off hahaha
I'm really touched by the way Isaac treats listener. He is obsessed with protecting them, yes, but his feelings are so strong that he allows them to decide their own fate, even if that decision will potentially saparate them. The man is still scared but he is braver than ever. From someone who doesn't even let others step into the garden, to someone who is willing to let the person he loves live a free life, this is great character development that Saku gives us and I really love that.
