Super video, concise and easy to follow, I don't have what it takes to do this in the basement myself.

great video ,i was going to try to do that job myself but after seeing how involved it becomes maybe ill just take it in to a garage.i miss the good old days when you could work on cars without dismantleling them.thanks again guys

Great video, it was very helpful, I was fortunate that when I went to replace my float switch that it was installed improperly by the previous “mechanic” and it was turned counterclockwise 90 degrees. Once I turned it to the right position (look for the arrow to point up and the word “down” at the bottom) the dash light went out. Thank you for the help with my 2013 RAV4.

Excellent video. Step by step! I really appreciate it showing how to put the pump back in ( taking off the washer first)

well this is definitely good to know! my washer bottle is leaking--like i put in a bottle of cleaner and it all poured right out the bottom. it still sprays but clearly i've got a massive leak. i figured i could just take it to the corner gas station and have another put on in like 10-20 minutes...i had no idea u have to take the whole front end off 😳 --i'm getting anxiety just watching this. I'm def going to book an appt at a garage and give it a couple hours. At least when i get the scary huge bill, i'll know why instead of just feeling bitter and taken advantage of😂 I miss the days when my dad could just pop on a new part and have me on my way..this seems way more complicated than it needs to be. Thanks for the video!

The pumps can be accessed by removing the guard inside the front right wheel well. It's about 3 bolts, 5 screws and 5 clips. Easier than removing the whole bumper if you need to replace a pump and not the whole reservoir bottle.

great video, thank you for taking the time to make it. its very helpful, I'm always amazed how cars are made, giving no thought to how and when parts have to be changed. I feel in the future we will all just lease and leave the problems to the next guy. I feel that if your vehicle makes it to 100,000 miles consider yourself lucky and trade it in on a new model and save yourself the grief thats about to follow. Nothing is easy to change out anymore, even spark plugs which where always so easy are impossible. Keep up the good work.

Thanks for the vid, nicely done. It's a shame you have to take the front end apart just to get at that tank. (Designed by Engineering 101 student?)

Hello I'm trying to find washer reservoir for Toyota rav4 2005 and I can't find it. Do you know if I can use the same washer reservoir of Toyota rav4 2006?

It looks easier to do the brakes on the car than to remove the windshield washer reservoir.

some rats chew on the hose to the windshield washer, my question... from what I see, only the bottom flap has to become loosen to reach the reservoir? 2016 rav4. I pull the hose up and is long, so it appears the rats got it closed to the pump.

Thats exactly what happened to my Rav4 too. I think the hot summer drove them to drink the windshield washer fluid for moisture. The rats also ate through some insulation on the wire harness, lucky for me I caught it in time and no real damage to the wires themselves. I coated the wire with liquid insulation and then used electrical tape to wrap it up again. Rats got into my truck too, there they used my insulation to make a nest. Rats are a problem if you live near a field or canyon. I have no real solution other then my cats take care a few a week.

Same here. Today I declared war on pack rats. I am a live and let live kind of a guy but these rats are SO damaging that they have to go. I've lived here for 25 years and have only had a problem this last year.
