Hope you enjoy the vid, I know I had a blast at Asylum this weekend. Hand cannon is Ace of Spades. Sniper is 1K Stare with Shortgaze and Quickdraw and nothing else that's good haha
True Vanguard can yu help me on ps4 with trials next week so in the week of 25 March psn: chriskil82 i really would love that also nice vid keep that good work up
Finally went flawless this weekend, mostly thanks to you. A lot of your vids have really helped me become a better player than I once was, nice job and keep up the good work. :)
Dude, Clawing is such a HUGE gamechanger. I've always wondered how you managed to move so dexterously, especially when jumping and going around corners. I tried clawing a while back but it was very uncomfortable so I never tried it again. Tonight I played every single match clawing and although it takes some adjusting, it's insane how much I improved in a single night. I hereby declare myself your unofficial, uninvited disciple.
+Gaming Muscle I tried clawing for a couple of weeks a while ago. It wasn't uncomfortable or anything, but I just felt like it made my aim worse. Watching this video makes me want to give it another shot though.
You really should man! It definitely screws with your aim at first because your hand-eye coordination is changed. There's a way in which your brain already expects your hands to react from what your eyes see. (This is totally speculation from me, btw, no scientific backup, but it's the best way I can describe the experience). I did have to go on patrol at first and get comfortable.
That was me, I'm eFamous now amirite? :P Thanks for the Trials attempt True Vanguard (and Holtzmann), you guys are amazing Destiny community leaders and it was an honor and a pleasure to be in a fireteam with you 2!
glad to hear another player who doesn't want/need a scuf. Ever since MW2 I've been against things that give you more than a normal controller offers. No stick extenders, no paddles, and, when I played CoD a lot, no headsets to "soundwhore" because they all offer what I'll call "pay-to-win". Its not really pay-to-win, but you are paying money to play a game at a higher level than the average player, which I don't like. Great vid as usual TV
Videos are awesome man, learn a lot from them. Keep up the great work. I'm probably the only person that feels this way, but I think you should finish the carry on the 6 year old. That was a really cool thing you guys did shame his Internet booted him.
yeah good vid TV I normally like to rush a body if I get one down but its frustrating when teammates stay back and watch the orb but I can't really say much I'm guilty of that too. Keep it up :)
I used to wear out my controllers pretty frequently too. I bought a new controller and some Kontrol Freaks last may and my controller gave out just a couple of days ago. If anything, I think Kontrol Freaks are great in providing extra durability to your sticks more than improving your aim.
I completely agree with you on using Claw over a scuff. Been doing claw since Halo 2, and haven't felt the need to pay extra money for the same control (Or maybe even worse control due to muscle memory with claw)
+True Vanguard if you're burning through controllers every 3 months just because of the thumbsticks, I'd suggest picking up some low profile grips that are really thin and basically just deter the grippy fabric from on the actual thumbstick from wearing down so quickly.
One of my favorite things about destiny is the community, and it's also one of my most hated things. You're always hearing people complaining about all the nerfs, but they always complain about certain guns not being nerfed. I was looking at this Instagram page and this guy had a meme that said something about bungie nerfing everything, and when I scrolled up he literally posted a picture saying snipers and shotguns need to be nerfed. I hate it when people do that. Especially when they say, "Nerf snipers!" Anyways great video vanguard.
I actually naturally began to play claw in several games before Destiny, and I didn't even realize it was actually a technique! I just thought I held my controller weird
True vanguard I used to play claw and have the same mindset as you where scuffs aren't worth it... I recently aquired a Xbox one elite controller and my god it is worth it especially if your going though controllers every three months it is definately worth getting an elite controller they are comfortable sturdy so you for sure won't need to go through another one in three months... I've been playing claw for a while and my fingers have been getting really sore but when I switched to an elite controller my comfort while playing went up even my skill level rises from it... Anyway if you do take this advice go for an elite controller where as scuffs with the same perks and advantages are more expensive.. And btw the paddles on elite controller are twice as better as scuffs
Before I watched your destiny vids I was really bad at pvp if your interested my Elo had me at 250,000 for trials on Xbox now that I've watched your vids I've skyrocketed to up more than 2000 just want to say thanks
got to 4:50 and I just wanna say that I'm comfortable with clawing revives. I'm so comfortable at it that I get mad when people can't do it and don't get the res while firing. :p
Good tips as always. I have a Scuf and it's nice for shadestep and being more agile don't get me wrong but I don't think it's pay to win in destiny especially since jump shots don't land 99% of the time and that's what it helps with the most. It's better for games like COD where you can effectively jump shot. It is handy though.
TV you should look into soldering. Its an easy to learn skill, for the cost of a controller you can get a really good soldering iron and solder sucker. You can by those joysticks for cheap, or if you have a stack of controllers just Frankenstein them.
I understand the claw mechanic. In fact I had no idea what it was but did it anyway. I thought I was one of a handful that did it. It is just really comfortable for me. Anyone else.
Often times instead of clawing I will just take my left thumb and use it to aim when I'm getting the revive. A bit harder to strafe, yes, but it's just more comfortable in my opinion.
Damn, a controller every 3 months? I've been using the same Halo: Reach special edition 360 controller since I was like 11…until I recently switched to the one.
I think he means the analogue sticks and not the rubber on them. Actually mine have kinda died today aswell. It's basically when your player stops running (L3 mostly).
What goes wrong with your controller? How do you know when you need a replacement? I'm on my second, but my first straight up broke when dropped, and I'm not sure whether my current one wearing out or I'm just loosing.
Is there a control scheme that switches the reload/interact button somewhere else? I've never been comfortable playing claw (never knew there was a term for it until now), but I've been thinking lately about switching it. I've been busy with Warrame and haven't really played Destiny, so I haven't checked it out myself.
I have a question that regards no-scoping. I've heard of people sticking a super-small piece of paper in the middle of their TV to mark the spot where a no-scope would fire. So, they use the piece of paper as a sort of scope to line up their no-scopes. Is this something that you do or have done? If so, was/is it helpful?
Hope you enjoy the vid, I know I had a blast at Asylum this weekend.
Hand cannon is Ace of Spades.
Sniper is 1K Stare with Shortgaze and Quickdraw and nothing else that's good haha
+True Vanguard Awesome vid TV! You are definitely the cat's pajamas :D
+True Vanguard Great vid! I do wish I was as good as you sometimes tho (ie. all the time lmao)
+True Vanguard How long did it take for you to get adjusted to claw? Do you only see use for it during a game type that has revives enabled?
+True Vanguard Is it just for me or is the thumbnail not working/visible?
True Vanguard can yu help me on ps4 with trials next week so in the week of 25 March psn: chriskil82 i really would love that also nice vid keep that good work up
Finally went flawless this weekend, mostly thanks to you. A lot of your vids have really helped me become a better player than I once was, nice job and keep up the good work. :)
Man I'm so bad at going for the "revivER". I'm always so focused on the "revivEE". Awesome vid! I need to work on that.
That first snipe legit made my jaw drop TV, thats amazing keep up the great work :)

Great stuff about picking the revivers etc... That will really come in handy this weekend when I attempt to go back into trials
Another great video! Thank you for explaining the "claw" method! Good stuff!
That was me, I'm eFamous now amirite? :P Thanks for the Trials attempt True Vanguard (and Holtzmann), you guys are amazing Destiny community leaders and it was an honor and a pleasure to be in a fireteam with you 2!
1:37 that moment when Patrick is 9 months ahead of schedule with the laugh

He did finish that run, he mentions in that video that they had to do 2 runs at is because he got booted on the first one.
+Lincoln Larousse that's awesome, I guess I missed that part. Keep up the seller work TV.
damn i feel like that was some of the best gameplay youve ever posted. sick snipes
That clip after your intro was insane man, dang
Here you are doing stuff like this, and then there's me getting excited over a double kill lol
Omg That Snipe Before The Intro good Snipe true VanGuard Love U Video's
Love the Music TV!
yeah good vid TV I normally like to rush a body if I get one down but its frustrating when teammates stay back and watch the orb but I can't really say much I'm guilty of that too. Keep it up :)
that quickscope at the beginning
I agree tv on your tip, I know I would aim mostly at the revivee rather than the reviver. Sometimes that would mess me up.
Nice vids TV keep it up man!
You always say "I'll catch you in the crucible". I really hope I'm not that unlucky lol
I always get excited to see TV vids haha
That no-scope tho...

I got to play you this weekend and wow, your awesome, love you true!
Reviver over the revivee. Thanks, that ALWAYS messed me up when going for res snipes.
Great video yet again!
you can even see the views drop since The Division came out.. Please TV we also need you on New York!
Thanks TV, you help me elevate my game ;)
I have a 1000 yard stare with last reasort and hiddenhand and ambush
Black Spindle is bae
+True Vanguard if you're burning through controllers every 3 months just because of the thumbsticks, I'd suggest picking up some low profile grips that are really thin and basically just deter the grippy fabric from on the actual thumbstick from wearing down so quickly.
also thank you for the Xbone claw demo :)
Awesome gameplay True.... I wouldn't mind to be carried through trails especially after those two no scope kills...

+nicolas avant Never a truer statement was spoken...er, written...whatever. :)
Is it weird that I started clawing unconsciously long before I saw this video?
bet mana is pissed about those no scopes
thank you a lot for this!!! it will really help me!! ;)
I actually naturally began to play claw in several games before Destiny, and I didn't even realize it was actually a technique! I just thought I held my controller weird
hey True would u be able to make a video about the claw grip and how u use it? would really enjoy that
Great vid!! Do you have Xbox one? And do you have destiny? And do you ever play it?
TV, THAT NO-SCOPE.
STOP IT.
True vanguard I used to play claw and have the same mindset as you where scuffs aren't worth it... I use to go through controllers the same! Got alpha control freaks never had a problem since!
I claw as well. I was thinking about getting a scuff, because my index finger hurts after a few hours, especially during the winter -I live in Boston.
OK TV. How many times did you have to try that quick/no scope for it to work? Excellent vid and info. Stay good dude.
got to 4:50 and I just wanna say that I'm comfortable with clawing revives. I'm so comfortable at it that I get mad when people can't do it and don't get the res while firing. :p
nice vid ! :) by the way .. do you play on xbox one?
Good tips as always. I have a Scuf and it's nice for shadestep and being more agile don't get me wrong but I don't think it's pay to win in destiny especially since jump shots don't land 99% of the time and that's what it helps with the most. nice double no scope!!!!!!!

my hands are too uncomfortable doing claw. had to buy the scuf. thanks for not looking down on it.
On the topic of controllers, do you use vibration on or off? Just wondering if it has any impact on your play at all.
Vibration off is the way to go
+Brian Dionne yeah definitely vibration off so u dont have any thing hindering your aim
I understand the claw mechanic. In fact I had no idea what it was but did it anyway. I thought I was one of a handful that did it. It is just really comfortable for me. Anyone else.
Do you have any videos on the best Sensitivity and Screen bounds setup?
Hey TV. I thought you used jumper as your contoller scheme? I have been using that for quite awhile now and it seems to work well.
Trance music I love it, name of it?
lol thought I was the only one that clawed.. My friends see me doing it and they were like wtf so I thought it was something I just do
You should get the shortest kontrol freeks you can find so your joysticks last longer
What roll did you get on your new sniper TV? GG
I play claw a lot and it really helps with getting revives
Nice vid
Could you upload a video using the Last Extremity?
Often times instead of clawing I will just take my left thumb and use it to aim when I'm getting the revive. A bit harder to strafe, yes, but it's just more comfortable in my opinion.
i feel like that double no-scope needed a jazz hands..or maybe a facepalm?
Hey VG, Hows it going?
I always do that clawing shit when getting reses
True, how do you feel about explosive rounds on snipers? I can't find a consensus as to whether or not it actually increases/decreases overall damage.
and i feel the black spindle is more better than 1k stare
Damn, a controller every 3 months? I've been using the same Halo: Reach special edition 360 controller since I was like 11…until I recently switched to the one.
do u recommend using the ace of spades in trials? disregarding the last word
True van-guard
GG
Ohai ;)
What do you call a fake noodle?
An IMPASTA!!
+True Vanguard lol
+True Vanguard I see what you did there.
Youre fake
Hey, TV how do you determine what opening theme you use? Do you use the theme depending on your mood or likes or on a certain topic of video or what?
i am currently working on sniping the rezzer instead of lucky picking one or the other
I think he means the analogue sticks and not the rubber on them. Actually mine have kinda died today aswell. It's basically when your player stops running (L3 mostly).
Yeah same mine are getting worn
Yeah i am on my fourth controller, ps3 controllers lasted longer for me
I had a game were I went 27 and 8. My team still lost because the other team got the revives. I wants too happy about that
thanks to your videos I'm getting better on crucible :)
I really want to thank you :) LONIORIKU on Xbox one
I'm a pretty good player love ur vids and hope to play with u one day
What goes wrong with your controller? How do you know when you need a replacement? I'm on my second, but my first straight up broke when dropped, and I'm not sure whether my current one wearing out or I'm just loosing.
Is there a control scheme that switches the reload/interact button somewhere else? I've been busy with Warrame and haven't really played Destiny, so I haven't checked it out myself.
How can I tell if my controller is worn out?
What's the roll on your 1k stare?
Control freaks are good way of avoiding controller wear and tear... Just grips you slide over top of the joy sticks
Can you tell me the name of that song!? Please!!
What perks do u have on that 1k yard stare?
What's your button layout TV?'
amazing
I subscribe to u your a beast men
Song/rythem
is abush a good sight?
I don't claw but it is a good idea to know I have friends that do it and they get team wipes in a matter of a few seconds.
his new 1k i see
i personally use elite controller and use just one paddle set as revive
I have a question that regards no-scoping. I've heard of people sticking a super-small piece of paper in the middle of their TV to mark the spot where a no-scope would fire. So, they use the piece of paper as a sort of scope to line up their no-scopes. Is this something that you do or have done? If so, was/is it helpful?
3:28 You literally sat him down.
Is that ace of spades?
what song do you use in the background?
That first kill at the beginning haha wow but I believe it proves how snipers are too powerful atm, need to require more player skill
