Omg..yes. I get the same feeling and the most unique vibe radiates from her being. Never ever felt that from anyone, especially not a singer I've never met. Love Tina💙
...oh, my GOD what a HIGHLY INTELLIGENT Interview! ..this was someone who has LIVED, and knows who they are from experience....a REMARKABLE Woman, who inspired, just by being... *TINA* .....RIP, Queen ....
One thing is for sure She loved her fans! She wanted to be a better person, and she wanted change. She got all of that. Thank you Tina Turner RIP Anna Mae Bach 💚💚
I love when Tina said she doesn’t sit around being all sexy offstage. It shows how realistic and down to earth she really was. But I think she was naturally sexy especially in her 40s during her comeback & good for her.
What a fantastic, thoughtful and thought provoking human being!! She loved herself and found the best way to care for herself and in so doing was able to empathize and love others. An angel. 🙏
Wow! She looks so glowy and beautiful. Her story is so inspiring. She is so classy and very intelligent! Wtf was Ike thinking? This is one of those sistas you never let slip away. Man, her head is and always has been on straight! Very rare..thank you for sharing
Tina never quite understood Oprah or is it the other way around? This is what I felt when watching her interviewing Tina. Tina is a legend. Her good energy and authenticity .really comes through both with her singing/dancing and in all of her interviews. She is a /pioneer/Leader, like a Lion.
I'm sorry a woman who stay with a man who beat her treat her as a slave she's not a strong woman she should have left him long time ago . women have to stop acting like victims for me there's no difference betwin man or woman !
Tina started singing pure R&B in the very beginning with Ike and she had her early success with R&B and Blues on the Chitlin Circuit performing to primarily black audiences. I think she started moving more towards Rock and Pop after she recorded with Phil Spector and gained a following with white audiences in Europe and later here in America in the late 60s and early 70s. When she left Ike and went solo she struggled for years as a cabaret act and it was only when white producers and management from Europe showed interest in her that she was able to stage her comeback. So it was just the way it turned out because these people produced Rock and Pop music aimed towards a primarily white audience. So that was the direction her music went in. That all said I don't think Tina ever really forgot her roots and maybe she did get tired of R&B at a certain point but I think there is always a little bit of her bluesy R&B roots in most of her songs and Tina always brings her own unique style to any song she sings whether it's R&B, Blues, Rock, or Pop. It's always distinctively Tina.
You are right! Even when it's a duet with a rock white guy, it still sounds like it could be Chaka Khan or Aretha Franklin on track if you didn't know it was Tina. Raw,Rock, but Soulful!
You're correct in some ways. My only issue is that Tina has a very myopic view of R&B and Rock that is rooted in a racial self hate. R&B has always been far more than she describes here (depressing, crying about your man cheating) And rock music is far more than "fun and naughty." That's her opinion of the two genres, based on her racial self-hate and her upbringing, even before Ike. Another correction that needs to be made is that Ike was not keeping Tina away from her true calling to sing rock music. He was actually the one who encouraged it, wrote rock songs, and started Tina singing rock, even before Phil Spector. And for the record, River Deep is not really even rock music. Its really a pop song with an orchestra. Not sure why folks say Phil Spector turned Tina rock and roll. Not true. She and Ike were already doing true rock songs by then, for years. Ike wasn't anti-rock music. They togehter tried to do rock music, and it just didn't take off. I agree that Ike was a monster and treated Tina like crap. I just want folks to understand that Tina was broken before Ike. She had racial self-loathing before Ike. She found images of whiteness inspiring and something to be sought after since she was a little girl. She had a self-hate inside of her that told her whiteness was beautiful, upperclass, wholesome and stress-free. She found black culture cruel and ugly since she was a child. She was the one who was not able to see past color, despite her fans (mostly white) thinking she doesn't see color. She does see race, she just saw it in a way that diminished her connection for black culture, and created a longing for white culture. She saw freedom and money in whiteness. She saw struggle and headache in blackness. And in sense, her own life experience growing up seems to confirm that, in her own psyche. With that in mind, you have to accept that she never really loved or wanted Ike. She never really loved herself as a black woman since before Ike. AlthoughTina and all her white fans seem to find solice in de-racializing her experience, that simply ignores Tina's life experience and history, rather than really knowing and acknowledging it. Tina had racial self hate that drove everything in her life- who she found attractive, who she could trust, where she wanted to live, how she wanted to speak (English accent) and even what type of music she wanted to sing. I'm a fan of Tina like everyone else. She is a legend. But I am a fan who can like her but still acknowledge some of the deep rooted realities of her psyche that really drove her life.
I hate to say this but i feel i am learning so much about life bc these videos sre so inspirational and make me want to better myself even more! Thank you Beautiful Tina for these blessings anout life from beyond you're simply the BEST!!❤ RIP you left us such beautiful memories snd songs!💔👑🌟
God does gift success to the glorious ones. She brings me to tears with her honesty and integrity. She learned much from the exploitative aspects of the business, including Ike…
So very true. It's like she ages backwards. And it is no way plastic surgery...you can tell it isn't. Strikingly beautiful. It's radiating from within.
I love her so much she had such strength and resilience she was a bright light of positively she was chosen to be this wonderful energy from God and I want to thank God for there being a Anna may Bullock Tina Turner

It's sad to hear Tina talk so negatively about Rhythm & Blues - how it's "depressing"..I have to disagree..young people also experience all of the stuff featured in 60s R&B songs. They can relate to a degree. Some of the greatest songs are from the 50s/60s R&B era...A good example is Etta James who sang many R&B songs and she loved singing them. I guess Rock n Roll is more "fun" and "naughty" but I wouldn't say Rock n Roll is more in tune with Young people than R&B. I also think Tina sang those early R&B tracks beautifully. She put so much emotion and energy into them. Fool in Love is virtually Rock n Roll!
Wiggins Fantasy Channel Topic she’s not bald. But she stated in her book that she won’t stop wearing wigs. There are pictures of her with her natural out, though. I’m sure her hair is probably down her back at this point.
Every time I see her, hear her talk, and expressing herself somehow I see light radiate off Tina. Her presence is like a beautiful glow.
Omg..yes. I get the same feeling and the most unique vibe radiates from her being. Never ever felt that from anyone, especially not a singer I've never met. Love Tina💙
@@Gypsygirl9 me too
Tina is mesmerizing. Her energy is amazing! What a force of nature!!!
She was even more beautiful in her older years.
I agree her and Diana Ross looked better with age
Yes agree with you
Agreed!
I'ts amazing what plastic surgery can do.
0:22 the Ikette performing at Tina's right here is Pat Powdrill. She didn't reach 50. RIP.
One of her best interviews- she explains the duality of her life and how deliberate she has constructed "Tina Turner"
She looks so beautiful in this interview..Love Tina Turner ..She still looks great! Good health to her!
...oh, my GOD what a HIGHLY INTELLIGENT Interview! ..this was someone who has LIVED, and knows who they are from experience....a REMARKABLE Woman, who inspired, just by being... *TINA* .....RIP, Queen ....
Ike didn't make Tina Turner, he gave her the name ; she made that name mean something. She is a fine example of a beautiful strong woman.
He literally did make her. He picked out the clothes, the wigs, oversaw the choreography, picked the songs, and created the entire image.
One thing is for sure
She loved her fans!
She wanted to be a better person, and she wanted change. She got all of that.
Thank you Tina Turner
RIP Anna Mae Bach
💚💚
She is an inspiration. So beautiful. I have so much respect for her.
What an awesome interview, letting us in on how she 'corrected herself' many times over the years to perfect her craft. Incredible generous woman.
She wanted change.
She wanted to be a better person.
And she got it! But she worked her @ss off to become better!
I love when Tina said she doesn’t sit around being all sexy offstage. It shows how realistic and down to earth she really was. But I think she was naturally sexy especially in her 40s during her comeback & good for her.
Love this, Tina's such a bright, effervescent artist. What a great interview.
Tina is her most beautiful in this video! She was so graceful, eloquent, and humble as a Queen should be!
She looks so beautiful here.
What a fantastic, thoughtful and thought provoking human being!! She loved herself and found the best way to care for herself and in so doing was able to empathize and love others.

It's strange but I feel like younger generations appreciate her so much more than the generations when she was more active in the industry!
So amazing
Rest in peace Tina Turner you will never be forgotten 🙏
I wish we could see this interview completely uncut because she talked about her whole life in this interview.
@Diamond Tribe huh?

I never realized how beautiful she is!
Omg she has always been so pretty !!!
She is so incredible. Inspirational.
She was at her most beautiful during this period.
I was thinking the same thing and she was about 50 here. Wow.
Even at 57..58 or 60 she was also so incredibly beautiful ! so much "charm"...Even between 70 and 80 years old

Ike Turner produced the first Rock N'Roll record.
Strong women!
I disagree with her on one thing. "Rock & Roll is "White." But I can TOTALLY understand what empowers her perspective & perception.
Rock and Roll is not "white". The sound originated from black people and made popular by white people.

I think she’s bald because in the movie it shows when this girl did her hair and it started to come out
Wiggins Fantasy Channel Topic she’s not bald. But she stated in her book that she won’t stop wearing wigs. There are pictures of her with her natural out, though. I’m sure her hair is probably down her back at this point.
You do know that hair grows right?
@Tina Turner Clips wearing a wig has nothing to do with being bald. Lots of celebrities wear wigs duh!
all black women wearin wigs amd they are balds? stupid you
She has a pic with her natural hair when she was a young girl she has a lot of hair she looked so beautiful !
Tina you're so beautiful... I would love to meet you in person
