you've been super helpful to me, I'm in the process of getting everything ready to go live vanlife, and I thought I'd need WAY more than I actually do. it's also so mf nice to not have to watch a 30 minute video to get the info I need 😭😂🙏🏻
Ahahaha yes I like to keep my videos short and to the point, since that's what I like also! Thank you!
That's the kind of fridge I want when I can get one. I like it...thank you. Enjoyed!
Thanks for the good information - love your journey :)
Thank you for this video.
Very helpful info! Thank you!
I have a similar 15L fridge. Served me well for many years and Iove the Bluetooth app integration
Yup, definitely on my Amazon wishlist.
I have an alpicool dual fridge/freezer. Mine works great and I love mine. Mine is a 34 qt. I have noticed that if my van isnt level the fridge struggles to keep the temp where its supposed to stay. So you might want to keep an eye out just in case. My fridge runs on my jackery 240 also.
Thank you for sharing. I love your van set up.
Good point about the capacity needs versus an ice chest
Great topic to cover. Ice melts quick & needs replacing in this Hawaii weather. Lots of sunshine though. Thank you for sharing🤙
I have charged a Jackery 240 with a flexible Renogy 100 watt solar panel and foldable Solar Panel from Harbor freight. I believe they both around 150. I believe the Harbor freight one goes on sale from time to time. The Renogy one has been the best one for me since it is light and can be thrown on top of a vehicle.
Thanks for the review. I love my Yeti for ice cold beverages, ahem, my camper had a propane fridge but I've never used it. Am considering one of these smaller fridges. I have a yeti 500x power station so the info you gave was very helpful - as always Amanda!
The 500 will power it with no issues, that's for sure!
Nice
I have one , it has Two compartment s 60 Lts, You can set one as freezer and one as fridge or both as refrigerator. What I have notice , power consumption depends on your settings. Mine I have set -14deg Cel and +5 deg cel.The power consumption is the same as my mini fridge in my Room.
Awsome and informative vedio !!!!!!
Do Urself A Favour = But EF Eco Flow 100% Better Than Jackery. I Sold All My Jackery & = Sooooo Happy With My EF Eco Flow = POWER ++++++++ & An AirConditioner Unit...
I would absolutely love to have afridge because of my insulin. I take a lot of insulin. Between getting the right size fridge and right size battery it is way way over budget. So I must suffer with my cooler with very little ice in it just to keep it at the right temp..
I'm a sticker freak to and have about 50 saved up so far. I still need to buy yours and will soon.
It's definitely a cost investment, for sure.
just got mine, a c9Lt , it holds 4 cans of beer, butter, cheese, 2 pints of milk, and a pack of bacon, thats all i need, it is very quite and light, ut cannot get the blue tooth to work
You want your DC cords to be as short as possible to reduce voltage drop.
HI Amanda, What size power station would you recommend for a 2 day trip without charging?
I'd say at least 800 watts to be comfortable.
If you keep your Jackery plugged to the DC outlet in the middle of the van it will keep charging all the time.
Yes but be careful running down your car battery. 😘
A couple questions. Does the cooler have an adapter to plug into DC power allowing it to be precooled or plugged in when hook-ups are available? If you put ice in the cooler while it is cooling will that help cool it quicker? Thanks for the info.
It does and yes!
I plug mine in the night before I leave just to get it super cold I’ll plug it into my wall in the house and then in the morning I will bring it to the van plug it into my jackery 500 and then bring the food out to it or if I don’t have a lot to load up I’ll fill it in the house and carry it out to the van and plug it in in
Thanks for video. You said while driving, you keep your jackery plugged in which is then plugged into your fridge. Have you had any issues with that process (jackery recommends not to charge the station while being in use).
No issues in 2 years!
How has your Alpicool held up with traveling etc? Any issues since this video was made? Thanks.
No issues! In fact, I posted a video about it yesterday!!
I find the 12 V adapter plug does not sit well in my jackets 500 or in my bluetti AC 200 P did you find that as well? And I’ve had trouble with the whole system shutting down for some reason a number of times especially overnight when I am not able to check on it…
I have the same issue! Ugh!
@@AdventuringWithAmanda Well I’m sad about that but I feel good that I’m not alone with the problem. I put some duct tape around the edge I put a Band-Aid around there I tried to shim it up you know..But it still slips and then at night I don’t know what happens but my jackery shuts down and my obviously refrigerator gets no power. I’m sure it’s something you’ll be following up on
Did you get the Bluetti? Was thinking you were buying it but maybe plans changed….
Still deciding which power station I want!
This fridge is one on my wishlist. Question though: how do you keep it running if there's no sun for your solar and you're Boondocking? I assume the Jackery would run out of power in decent time.
I haven't had the problem yet because I live/travel where it's pretty much only sunny. I have a ton of backup power though. I'd be fine for a few days.
@@AdventuringWithAmanda thx:)
cheap gas generator to power up the jackery away from your car and then rinse repeat for dayz with no sunshine
@michellelaclair most people just charge through their vehicle or they go to a Starbucks and chill on their phone while it charges, actually
@@ashleykbarks You mean the common people who just blend in? I was talking about the people who want to live a meaningful life outdoors.
Was wondering how well it works after you put warm things in it. Does it struggle to stay cool?
It never struggles to stay cool, even in Arizona heat.
@@AdventuringWithAmanda ok thanks. The one I have struggled so much this summer. I also have a jackery 240 and solar. The fridge would drain it in a few hours especially after I would put water bottles or soda in it. The solar panel could never keep up with it. I'm thinking for next summer I'm gonna get an alpicool.
Can u sit on top of the refrigerator?
No.
You are really beautiful lady
Thank you!
@@AdventuringWithAmanda how's your day
