I have fairly vivid memories of those days. Even after the demo hit PSN, there still wasn't ~that~ much buzz. But once the game released and word of mouth started spreading, that's when it started to happen.
You could also unlock the Baseball shirt in Uncharted 1 via a cheat code in the original release. The remaster lets you simply unlock it by collecting enough treasures.
it's crazy watching this, and comparing it to TLoU2. I remember this coming out and being visually stunning. (UC2 was where it got serious) The UC4 trailer as well... wow.... how far we've come.
Very random: I had a 3-week-work-experience-thing and worked in a shipyard. Every time the workers dropped a metal pipe on the ground, it sounded just like that 0:39 sound effect
I've never actually played this game, but I know about the Uncharted series. I became a fan when I saw 'Uncharted 2: Among Thieves' by chance at a store named 'Cash Crusaders'. Funny, right? 🤣🤣 At the time, When purchasing "Uncharted 2: Among Thieves" I had no idea about Nathan Drake. Ergo, you can imagine my excitement when I saw the action, and the graphics for the first time
its crazy to think back then you could show gameplay in such early stages of completion unlike now where its all cgi or in engine cutscenes i miss the days like this where you could get a glimpse at an unfinished product and imagine its potential
In 2007 my friend gave a DVD for this game, and i thought it was an ordinary game, and honestly when i played it i thought it was Great but never thought it's a masterpiece but the 3rd one was and it made me think that the first one was also the same. I liked the first game a lot because of it's realistic graphics.
As much as ND is ahead of its time, incredible technical wizards that imo can match or even surprass high end PC games of their era, this in no way would be running on the PS2.
Interesting and cool vid. I just say the Uncharted movie that came out a while ago and I saw the mid-credits scene. Then I say a video explaining the mid-credits scene. Then well; I came to watch this vid.
Uncharted 1 is legendary. But the fact this trailer gives no story OR dialogue or EVEN secondary characters makes me feel uncomfortable for some reason
Kinda wish Nate's outfit in this trailer was the final version of the game's "canon" outfit, instead of just being an unlockable skin. The plain white t-shirt he has in U1 is kind of a boring outfit.
*Subtle applause*
Guess you guys aren’t ready for that yet... but your kids are gonna love it
What a comment

I love how they kept the clothing design on file and gave it to 15-year-old Nathan in the Uncharted 3 flashback sequence.

I did not

I am finally able to play this masterpiece from my ps3

I still haven't played, but already buy the second and third game. Need to buy the first one and play all three for the first time! Cant wait!

Who's here after Intergalactic? 👀
Soft clapping for a beginning to a legendary franchise...
The same guy responsible for fumbling the PS3’s launch is also the same guy responsible for fumbling Stadia’s launch...just sayin.
Durning its prototype phase I love how they went from a cartoon aesthetic to a complete real life video game setting. I hope I said this right

This is Sam’s outfit from Uncharted 4
Yeah, and actually, it is the same outfit nate uses in uncharted 3 as a kid

So crazy that the very first UNCHARTED trailer ever didn't even show off Nate's humor 😂

Every copy of Uncharted Drake's Fortune is personalized
When he says 1996 he means crash bandicoot
Remember when they used to call Nate “Dude Raider”? I feel old.
The debut of the legend himself....
That looks so old. Man time flys so fast.
I like this clothing design more than the one they actually used
You can unlock the shirt he's wearing in trailer as a bonus in Uncharted 1 and in Uncharted 4's multiplayer.
It's in every UC game one way or the other. At least the main 4 titles.

CGI also used to be back then to announce new games.
None of this is gameplay. The visuals look nowhere like this in the final game. Still looked amazing for it's time (the actual final product).
Meanwhile stuff like Killzone 2's reveal trailer happened, which was basically a lie, given that it was a CGI trailer masquerading as gameplay.
Wonder what made them change the outfit of Nathan Drake from the trailer to the full game
