Servicing the rear windows in the 300CD is always necessary!!! - Авто та транспорт
Another excellent video. Thanks on behalf of all enthusiasts and those who, because of lack of funds, are forced to do the job themselves.
😎 so glad the videos are helpful just be careful removing the panel they can be fragile and they're easy to break.
@@woodsandbarclay thanks for the tips, most valuable!. Cheers
Great video John!
The next video is removal of the dash and refurbishment of all the components behind the dash. It'll be perfect for when you put in your dasg this spring since this is the same exact car
Love your videos … do you have a Benz as your daily driver? If so what model and vintage?
Yes I drive a diesel Benz everyday. For 12 years it was a 1980 300SD. A guy came to the shop the other day and actually bought my daily driver so I quickly jumped on Craigslist and found a 99 E300 Diesel with 100,000 miles on it. Quickly went and picked it up and I've been driving it for a couple of months now.
John,
I have an '83 and I find that the drivers side front window clunks and skips when getting to fully closed. It does close completly, but sometimes I find it a 1/2" down. Where should I look? Maybe a gear is not meshing fully?
Thanks !
Sometimes this can be the little plastic slide jaw or your regulator can be bent. The only thing you can do is take off your door card and then roll the window up and down while you're watching the internals. you might have to just remove your regulator to see what the problem is but you can check to see if it has a missing slide jaw just by taking off the door panel and looking on the window track.
