This is for all the people having trouble making a MC Bedrock iron farm work: If you build an iron farm, you have to realize what you are doing is setting up a "logical village". If there are job blocks or beds within 96 blocks (I didn't double check this number, but I'm sure it's really close), you are going to do nothing more than make an existing logical village much larger than it already was. This leads to all sorts of problems: Golems spawning outside of the spawn chamber, Golems not spawning at all, villagers not linking to job blocks or beds, spawning only cats, and a host of other problems. Please take this into consideration: Build this farm at least 150 blocks away (to play it safe) from any other village/trading hall/villager breeder, etc. as it will save you a lot of heart ache later. This seems to be the number one thing people are having problems with. I highly recommend watching Silent's video on troubleshooting these farms. The URL is ua-cam.com/video/LqgLu3grX40/v-deo.html. This farm works just fine in all Bedrock versions but know this: Bedrock is a little more wonkier at times than the JAVA version; you will run into the unusual spawn areas, etc. Thank you Silent for making these farm videos and keep up the great content!

I also added an extra row of leaves to all four sides of the farm and since haven't had any trouble whatsoever. Good luck and happy building!

Knock out some blocks in the wall, the villagers want windows I guess. I got it working then it stopped. Turns out, I had a ladder in the villager room which one got stuck on and couldn't access its bed. So if it stops working, I'd recommend waiting til night and going in the room to make sure they all get in bed. If they aren't, figure out what's stopping them. I'd imagine you can make this room as big as you want, it doesn't need to be so compact. I built mine in the sky over a lake and as of now, it's working just fine.

For better results build the farm in the ocean or at least a dozen blocks above it. It’s given me nearly 1 1/2 stacks of iron in 10 minutes of production. You don’t need leaves for the sides either. Just for the villagers
Hey just a tip if it stops working, make sure you go back up and check the villager pen, make sure there’s no iron golems inside only two can spawn at a given time. I recommend removing the leaf blocks from the top and replacing them with bottom slabs, this way if golems do spawn up there it suffocates them. Hope this helps!
I noticed mine stopped working. Then I checked and had three golems in the villager pen. This is the first of three iron farms I’ve tried to work! This helped me fix the minor bugs
@@TheDoccMan I’ve made the space above the villagers 1.5 blocks and it seem to be working better. Before I was getting a stack or two before I had to go up and unalive the golems but now I’m at 4 stacks and still going. But if anything changes I’ll let you know
im truly amazed at how well this farm is working im still currently building it at the stage of breeding 20 villagers currently got 10 at moment and still going yet already golems have started to spawn as soon as i had 10 villagers
@@huntercoleman3627 make sure you build it away from any villages at least 150+ blocks away even 200 to be on the safe side and breed the cats so you have 5 to increase golem spawn rate just double check everything n make any changes if needed
I've been having issues with golem spawning with the villagers. To fix it, I just made it 4 blocks high and did a ceiling of solid blocks (at 3 blocks), then leaves for the 4th row
For those struggling with golems not spawning, I built mine over an ocean and that seemed to do the trick. I think other mobs spawning was hitting the cap.
Small tip: if you want even more production, add more villagers. 1 additionall golem will spawn for each 10 villagers, if all of them have access to their job block, and have a bed.
feedback: The leaves on top of the villager area still allows golems to spawn in the room so you must change the ceiling blocks on the villager area (no, I did not accidentally build 3 blocks high)

if anyone can’t get this to work, add 4 more villagers (4 beds 4 fletching tables) and change the blocks around them to be glass. also, make sure there are no greencoats (jobless villagers). works like a charm
I dont know if its me or i didnt follow something all the way thru but ended up switching leaves to slabs, added a zombie and expanded the Spawn proofing platform to make the farm work. Since i did all that my iron farm works pretty well
I decided to afk at this farm while I was at school. I came back to see that a creeper somehow managed to explode and make an entrance into the farm causing zombies to kill me and loose all my stuff. 1/10
I build mine differently every time when I see yours cause my friends call me “copycat” and I over do it with two stacks of beds and villagers lol. It was a pain but worth it. Your look better and I still built it in secret location 😂
If the golems aren’t spawning place a few slabs in the air creating more surrounding surface blocks even tho they can’t spawn on them i thbk it may help spawn them in
I know this farm doesn't yield crazy steel ingots per hour, but it's really easy to make and doesn't require a lot of mats. I think the hardest part is to put the first two villagers into the small chamber, rest is really really easy. I just finished mine after following this guide step by step, I made it around 60-70 blocks above ground and connected to a Nether portal so I could avoid unwanted golem spawns. Of course I placed leaf blocks on top of the portal
Great iron farm tutorial! Tho i would like to correct some mistakes for people whose iron farm doesn’t work. The problem is that golems keep spawning inside the chamber because the leaf roof only works as a spawn blocker when placed on top of a block. To solve this, I replaced the leaf roof with slabs, which aren't transparent like air. This stopped golems from spawning inside the villager chamber, but it led to another issue. The bell is important as it likely boosts iron ingot production. Villagers use a 3D pathfinder, similar to a shulker's tracking system. Leaf blocks are see-through to villagers, so they can detect the bell. However, slabs aren't see-through, which makes it impossible for villagers to detect the bell. I found a solution by adding holes in the chamber's wall, allowing the villagers to detect the bell and speed up iron ingot production.
There were 331 iron ingots at 1 hour with slab roof. There were 407 iron ingots at 1 hour, with leaf roof, but just right after got jammed by golems. There were 409 iron ingots at 1 hour, with slab roof and holes at wall, and still continuing. Btw, i built the farm high up in the air, and slept at night.
Thank you for the detailed response! I'm going to do this as well. I'm still learning the "why" behind everything, so this was really helpful in understanding a very frustrating problem
If it doesnt work go up and break then replace all of the beds one at a time making sure each one sparks green meaning its linked with a villager. I had to flip some beds the other way round to make them actually link with a villager.
thank you! i'm glad i decided to come back to the comments and saw this. the farm had been working 100% fine until recently. i did notice that one of the beds didn't show the green sparkles after being placed, but changing the direction it was facing helped, oddly enough. all back to normal!
Mine didn't work at first, because the villagers couldn't commit to a single bed, but then I made the area for the villagers a little bigger and I put the beds inside. It started working 3 minutes after I fixed it and it is really fast! If you want to avoid the problem altogether, just build the area a little bigger to begin with. It also works great 100 blocks in the air right next to my creeper farm. I left it going for 1 hour exactly: 6 stacks!
Iron golems are somehow spawning inside the villagers chamber, and I dont know why, the room is 2 blocks tall with leafes just like in the video. Any ideas?
One quick fix, golems can actually spawn inside the villager area with this setup, was wondering why mine did not work after awhile and that was why. to fix just make it out of half slabs instead of leaves
The iron farm worked really good but there is a proplem not sure how to fix that and its that the golem sometimes spawns inside with the villagers and thats stops the golems from spawning
I’m having trouble. All the villagers are in there but no iron golems are spawning. I followed the instructions exactly but my bell doesn’t have a green thing over it. Is that needed?
Same here but I fixed it. I added a bed at each corner to complete the loop of beds, so 4 beds. Then I knocked out the top layer of blocks containing the villagers under the leaves, for me it was pink glass but in the video was stone bricks. I have golems spawning again... Let me know if it works for you too.
Bro I was waiting for my villagers to grow up then checked my chest and had 45 iron out of nowhere. Such a great tutorial, thank you for being so thorough🙏🏽
I’ve found that in order to make an easy and scalable iron farm you should start with 15 villagers and 30 beds. Each villager needs a work station. This farm yields 1 golem To expand: increase your villager amount by 15. Once your beds and villagers are equal then you’ll have to double your beds before adding another 15 villagers if you want to keep upgrading
Make sure to fill in your unlimited water source before breaking the surrounding blocks. We only had 1 dry block in the center and it was because those 4 water source blocks were hidden in all the other water.
Doesn't work for me either. When I break the beds, I don't get green particules on them, meaning their not linked. Somehow, I guess the villagers aren't thinking they can acces the beds
Why is there a bell? Bells in Bedrock don't have any impact on a village as far as it's center point. The iron golem spawning radius is a bounding box determined by the pillow block of the first bed claimed by a villager. This is why Golems can spawn outside of the platform since the first bed claimed can be on the outer edge moving that spawning box outside of the area the spawn platform covers.
Would putting a zombie near the villagers make the golems spawn faster? Idk specifics but if the golem spawns when the villagers feel in danger then a zombie being a constant threat may be good.
I just built mine and the villagers won’t breed. Do you know why that would be? All the beds have space, and when I give them food they have thunder clouds above their heads instead of babies
@@charliehilton7140 well the farm worked for me, I'm not sure if this will help you but try to breed them while the difficulty is set to hard and also make sure they linked to the beds.
note i had to add 2 more layers of leaves sometime the iron golems would spawn outside i didnt have any other villagers around but after i add the extra layers of leaves it worked great
Just found this channel, the instructions are so easy to understand and don't waste any time describing exactly how to build it/ what you need. Subscribed, and ill be looking at your other tutorials
@N_M_S... One or more of your villagers is a nitwit, or they aren't linking to beds/workstations properly. Cats will spawn with like 3 villagers regardless of workstations, but Golems need specific requirements. I'd suggest another video that explains everything but it's by another UA-camr. Honestly that farm is just as good though and allows for cat spawns and doesn't need you to loacte northwest or anything. But you'll have to find that yourself if you want it 😉
After I got all 20 villagers, then destroyed my bell and re placed it, the farm started working, however I notice that sometimes my golems still spawn too far away, not sure how to fix that yet
I had a couple of farmers nearby, like less than 100 blocks from my farm, and once I killed them and took their benches and beds, they finally started spawning inside the farm. check to see if there are any villagers nearby. any farm with villagers I always build 100 blocks away from any other villagers because that's the range where they can't connect to any beds or benches.
Having issues with the farm and need help. I made the farm and it worked great for 48 hours, all of the sudden it has stopped spawning iron golems, I didn't introduce any new villagers or add anything crazy to my world just an auto kelp farm about 200 blocks away. I replaced all the beds and tried replacing the bell but nothing has worked.
I tested it with a buddy in creative, trust me when I say I did everything right but it never spawned a golem. We tried to simpler version of the iron farm and it quit working after receiving a stack of iron. No clue if it’s a game bug or what but we have given up on making an iron farm.
Just build your own. Look up all the requirements for golems to spawn and make sure whatever you're doing gets them all checked off. I'm sure you'll figure something out, and it may even be better than this!
Try placing beds on top with some glass between them, and try cartography table instead of fetching since they no longer work in the rain since 1.20. Also, try linking each villager to its bed and workstation to ensure they can see each one. Should work out
If you are lazy like me and don't have a map, just look up to the sun or moon. They rise from the east and set in the west so you can figure out the northwest corner
Farmers, Fisherman, and Librarians won't work when it's raining. It isn't as efficient if you use barrels, composters, or lecterns for the work stations.
Great tutorial. Followed the tips in the comments to make it perfect too! Not built an iron farm for years, this one was very simple to follow. One thing to add though to solve the problem of the cats easily just dig down 4 blocks for your kill chamber, place the hoppers then signs a block above them so the lava sits at the same level as the water. The cats will fall in and burn up quickly.
This works on xbox series x on bedrock on a realm. I built it for the first time and couldnt get it to work Ending up moving the whole farm over an ice biome 100 blocks in the sky, then transported each villager over 1x1 and that seemed to have fixed it. Make sure you expand the room so the villagers can access beds
I did have to put the wall around the beds and then I thought it still wasn’t working but I was just waiting and once all the villagers were adults it started working so thank you it’s definitely one of the better iron farms I have made
Most effective way is if you replace the leaf roof with bottom half slabs. This make it so that iron golems that do spawn in there will suffocate. The also makes it so that golems can’t spawn on top.

So frustrating. I made a platform 18x18 and water logged all stairs yet the middle 2x2 blocks are in water
For better results build the farm in the ocean or at least a dozen blocks above it. It’s given me nearly 1 1/2 stacks of iron in 10 minutes of production. You don’t need leaves for the sides either. Just for the villagers
Jup building it in die air its no diffrent
Hey just a tip if it stops working, make sure you go back up and check the villager pen, make sure there’s no iron golems inside only two can spawn at a given time. I recommend removing the leaf blocks from the top and replacing them with bottom slabs, this way if golems do spawn up there it suffocates them. Hope this helps!
I noticed mine stopped working. Then I checked and had three golems in the villager pen. This is the first of three iron farms I’ve tried to work! This helped me fix the minor bugs
The slabs will disconnect the villagers from the bell, cuz slabs aren’t transparent, but leaf blocks are.
@@TheDoccMan I’ve made the space above the villagers 1.5 blocks and it seem to be working better. Before I was getting a stack or two before I had to go up and unalive the golems but now I’m at 4 stacks and still going. But if anything changes I’ll let you know

Thankyou for advice I did what u said and now if they spawn with the villagers they suffocate to death 👍👍👍
For those struggling with golems not spawning, I built mine over an ocean and that seemed to do the trick. I think other mobs spawning was hitting the cap.
This farm is INSANE, I afk’d overnight and got A DOUBLE CHEST AND 2 ROWS of iron, just subbed as well…

Small tip: if you want even more production, add more villagers. 1 additionall golem will spawn for each 10 villagers, if all of them have access to their job block, and have a bed.
Think it was patched, followed along exactly and it’s only spawning cats
I have seen about 20 videos that have not worked, but this one worked, you earned a subscriber. Thanks!
feedback: The leaves on top of the villager area still allows golems to spawn in the room so you must change the ceiling blocks on the villager area (no, I did not accidentally build 3 blocks high)

With what block?

I literally spent 6 hours troubleshooting and nothing is working, there’s nothing in the way of it and I only had 2 golems spawning 30 blocks away from the farm in these 6 hours
I need big help I am about to crash out because of an iron farm
Im gonna try this one!
Maybe a lightning rod near it so the leaves won't be destroyed by lightning and catch fire
if anyone can’t get this to work, add 4 more villagers (4 beds 4 fletching tables) and change the blocks around them to be glass. also, make sure there are no greencoats (jobless villagers). works like a charm
I dont know if its me or i didnt follow something all the way thru but ended up switching leaves to slabs, added a zombie and expanded the Spawn proofing platform to make the farm work. Since i did all that my iron farm works pretty well
Zombies doesn't do anything in bedrock edition
iron golem spawn when there is and extra 5 to 10 beds
Doesnt even work in bedrock edition so ofcourse zombies don do anything. Barely anything works in bedrock.
The insane good ones are Java ones I don't think those ones work on Bedrock (something to do with zombies not forcing villagers to spawn golems)
@@comedicpainIn bedrock you need a village and a gossiping villager to spawn a golem. Sadly they don't hire personal body guards when scared.
@@rykerstayton9577 how does the gossiping system work? I never really understood
Farm is so good! Got over 64 iron in 5 minutes!
Would filling the holes with leaf blocks be viable ?
If it doesnt work go up and break then replace all of the beds one at a time making sure each one sparks green meaning its linked with a villager. I had to flip some beds the other way round to make them actually link with a villager.
you saved me hours of rebuilding thank you
thank you! i'm glad i decided to come back to the comments and saw this. the farm had been working 100% fine until recently. i did notice that one of the beds didn't show the green sparkles after being placed, but changing the direction it was facing helped, oddly enough. all back to normal!
well, my farm is broken again after reloading my world. i guess this will just have to be something that i keep having to do fml
@@blackout3133 same thing happened here I just went and built a different model
Mine didn't work at first, because the villagers couldn't commit to a single bed, but then I made the area for the villagers a little bigger and I put the beds inside. It started working 3 minutes after I fixed it and it is really fast! If you want to avoid the problem altogether, just build the area a little bigger to begin with. It also works great 100 blocks in the air right next to my creeper farm. I left it going for 1 hour exactly: 6 stacks!
If the iron golems spawning with the villagers replace the inner leaf blocks with solid blocks and place slabs on top
I did that but I did leaves on top of the solid blocks instead of slabs. If that doesn’t work I will try this. thank you!!

Iron golems are somehow spawning inside the villagers chamber, and I dont know why, the room is 2 blocks tall with leafes just like in the video. Any ideas?

The iron farm worked really good but there is a proplem not sure how to fix that and its that the golem sometimes spawns inside with the villagers and thats stops the golems from spawning

I’ve found that in order to make an easy and scalable iron farm you should start with 15 villagers and 30 beds.
Each villager needs a work station. This farm yields 1 golem
To expand: increase your villager amount by 15. Once your beds and villagers are equal then you’ll have to double your beds before adding another 15 villagers if you want to keep upgrading
Hey man i tried this, the villagers are changing jobs weirdly, also, the golems stopped spawning. I have 8 layers ontop of eachother.

Make sure to fill in your unlimited water source before breaking the surrounding blocks. We only had 1 dry block in the center and it was because those 4 water source blocks were hidden in all the other water.
mine isn’t spawning any golems i’m so confused
Neither
Doesn't work for me either. When I break the beds, I don't get green particules on them, meaning their not linked. Somehow, I guess the villagers aren't thinking they can acces the beds
Make sure you have enough villagers
@@Nobody-yp7obyou’re not supposed to break the beds
(If you meant place and not break, idk what to do)
If you break a bed, then place it again, the villager will detect it again. I have 20+ villagers and still not working
Idk specifics but if the golem spawns when the villagers feel in danger then a zombie being a constant threat may be good.
in java yes in bedrock no
The mechanics in bedrock don’t have the zombie scare mechanic

Iron golem doesn't spawns but cat do. Why??
