If you mix down 2 mono IRs panned hard right and hard left you will get 2 separate cabs in one stereo file. If you mix them in stereo but leave the tracks centered you will get dual mono.
Haha! No problem. Always happy to accommodate when approached in good fun and friendship 👍 had to miss the rest of the Trident stream but gonna go back and watch some of it later.
Great review, but how do I utilize stereo out? Do I need to plug a ts or trs cable from nux to my audio interface? Do average pedal patch cables work for it or do I need a 6.5mm TRS cable instead? And how is latency?
to get stereo out you can use a TRS to Dual TS splitter cable or adapter, then send each channel to two channels on your interface. the jacks are normal 1/4" jacks like any other pedal. as far as latency, if i don't mention it in the video it's not an issue. i've reviewed a lot of IR loader pedals cheap and expensive and not one has had a latency problem.
Am I missing something here? I could only hear very vague differences between the sounds, certainly nothing like the tones I get from using a Marshall Guvnor pedal. So for me it's a definite no no. 22:55
How does the stereo out work? Do I need a stereo splitter cable that splits left and right if I was running into my computer? And do I have to to run a stereo cable in as well or will it split a mono signal in?
Good question. Here's the process: - Press and hold on the Footswitch while applying power to the pedal. - Press the tiny IR selector button at the top of the pedal to select Mono or Stereo. Blue LED = Mono and Red LED = Stereo.
@@SeanPierceJohnson Thank you so much! And in the app can a different IR be assigned to each side? For example, a specific IR is on the left side, and a different IR is on the right side?
Space is a control that adds on a “room” sound to the impulse Responses in Pulse. In the recording studio, engineers will often place a room mic on an instrument to capture the sound of the instrument in the space. It’s a nice thing to help catch certain subtleties and provide another flavor. With the Space control, the Pulse gives a slight reverb that allows certain sounds like delay repeats to bloom a bit more. It also helps the guitar sound feel less dry and sterile.
Hi, I am looking for something to put between power amp and speaker like I do with TwoNotes C.A.B. M. Can this one do that? Now I just got second amp and I am looking for something cheaper so I can run stereo into P.A. :-)
Great video man, i've got the Nux Mini Studio, do you know what the differences are apart from the stereo input and output and the fact that it also works as a sound card ? I mean, if you don't need these two features do you think it's worth changing ? Thanks a lot.
Thanks! Main difference is the stereo. Both have USB and an editor, not sure if the mini studio can be a sound card. But the Pulse has the Bass and Acoustic IRs. That’s kind of a big one.
Pay attention to the knob position in that segment. The first 3 slots are played with an electric and the others are with the acoustic. The first 3 are optimized for magnetic electric guitar pickups and the others for piezo pickups in acoustic electrics.
Great pedal, great company, and great video!
THe effect with clean tones was giving such a minor coloration but when you kicked in the distorsion the impact was pretty special!!
Definitely! The dirty tones are where you TRULY hear the cab differences.
I always find your presentations and guidance impressive and dependable.Thank you !
I just noticed you have crossed the 10K subscriber threshold! Bravo!
Thanks bud!
Loved this video! Love the white Tele you got!
Thanks! I love that thing. Check out Jennings Guitars, the builder. Chad makes a quality guitar.

Thanks for pronouncing our name correctly Sean 🤪

Isn’t the Guv’nor an overdrive? You can’t really compare an overdrive with a speaker simulator…that’s apples and oranges.
Are the IR’s here the very same as on the previous ( blue housing) NUX pedal?
hello great review....I would like to know what the yellowish orange light on the pedal is for???when you press and hold the pedal button.....thanks
it's the Bypass indicator LED

It’ll split a mono signal to stereo but if you want a stereo in you’ll need a Dual Mono TS to TRS converter cable.
Hello, how do I access stereo mode? Thank you.

Can you load third party IRs to this pedal?
Yes you can. You do it through the software
@@SeanPierceJohnson Perfect, thanks for the answer!
I was thinking about getting this to use the clean JC120 setting for recording jazz guitar, any users have an opinion on that? Thanks!
should work ok. i don't see why it wouldn't
Im new to Guitar effects,so please can someone explain what the "space" do

Can i get it in black, NUX?? Please?
Embrace pink pedals! 😆

No! Don’t use this. It’s not capable of handling the level an amp outputs to a speaker.
@@SeanPierceJohnson thanks. Any um your mind that can do that?
Latency???

Cheers Sean.
Wow…I’ve had a mini studio for YEARS and never realized that. Learn something new
This sounds incredible. Better than the Solid Studio and Flamma FS-07
It actually sounds comparable to my rather expensive GFI Cabzeus Stereo
The Flamma lets you assign separate cabs to L & R.

for acoustic IR, which is the preset from factory, IR for magnetic or piezo? I plan to buy this Pulse instead of Optima Air. thanks,
