- It's not all cars around the shop! Sometimes I get asked to fix the odd... dough mixer?! The local pizza shop had an issue with their Thunderbird 30N, an old but solid beast of a mixer. Turns out, there's limited info out there. Here's a tear down along with a common problem: a stripped shear gear.

I'm not sure! My baking & pizza shop friends get me to fix equipment but I have no idea what sizes are needed for a primary and back-up machine. I know that the shop I fixed this one for has a second machine of similar size.
How did you remove the middle washers as when I turn it just keep turning

Hey bro do you know what causes a clicking noise inside the Thunderbird dough mixer I change the worm gear but its giving a clicking noise in 3rd gear or when loads of flour above 5lbs is added

Hey bro do you know what is the recommended grease for the Thunderbird dough mixer and should it be filled when I opened it up it had a very thick sticky grease and was filled right up to the grease caps
Could you show me how to remove the bottom part as my mixer need to add some grease on the bottom planetary.

Hi I have a Maxima 30L gear 1 is fine but gear 2 spins as fast as gear 3 what could be the issue ?
Sounds like it's not shifting into the 3rd gear as it should but honestly... I'm not sure. Would have to take it apart to check.
I need your help I have Hobart mixer D340 40 quart I take transmission gear out I’clean up and change oil then I put it back Speed 2 working the speed 3 working and the speed 1 not working can you help me why thank you
I've never worked on a Hobart but if the first gear isn't catching maybe there's an alignment or assembly issue where the initial gear isn't engaging correctly.

Wife's 30qt mixer won't go into 1st speed. Only 2nd speed works.. When the bowl is not in the mixer. 1st speed works.. When bowl with dough in mixer, 1st speed doesn't work.. Best way I can explain.. Any help would be great.
