Bravo. This is the best online master program in the world open to all 7 billion people of the world .
Only requirement is be smart enough to follow courses + pay the small fee $ 500 or so per 3 credit courses .
Important thing is this is offerred by TOP SCHOOL of the USA and the world .
    Quality matters.
Therefore now degree holders of Georgia Tech will find jobs very easily at high salaries as well .
I will hire them too . I am an employer . I knoıw which school is good which degree is good . I have to . I pay for them .
Please go to best schools of the USA only .
There are only 200 or so good schools and colleges in the USA . Please be careful do not waste your time and money in second class colleges believing marketers of those colleges .
    Be smart . Investigate .
College graduation is wortwhile if you go to a good college . Don't be deceived by marketers of the second class colleges .

I have doubts. If it's the same why isn't it just MS? Is it taught by the same GT faculty in their CS department? Does it have the same curriculum as MS? Why are they Udacity courses instead of the actual courses in an online format? It's not the same because you still don't have the same experience as doing research and lab projects in person with other people. Is it really the same quality as an MS?

Yes, it is the same program with the same exact courses (though the on-campus program does have a few research courses that the online program does not have) and many of the same instructors (though the online program does rely on more TAs to help facilitate the larger online classes). Not everyone at the onsite program does dissertations, research, etc. as both the online and onsite program offer an option of the program that does not require an end program research project or dissertation. The non-dissertation/research project option (available both online and onsite) requires students to take the full course load of 10 classes, whereas the dissertation or research project program option (only offered at the onsite program) require less classes to complete. Udacity is an online distribution platform just the same as Blackboard or any other online classroom platform, there really is no difference between these online distribution forms; as exams, projects, etc. are still required. My suggestion, instead of speaking out of ignorance, go educate yourself on the program.

Yes, it is the exact same degree, same rigor and the same coursework. "OMSCS" is an informal designation to tell the mode of delivery of instruction is online. As of 2023, the program isn't even delivered through Udacity but through GaTech's own digital platform.
