Hey guys! i hope you’re enjoying the video! I also trimmed my hair afterwards with a new and easier technique and I also will be uploading how i maintain my straight hair and what i do once it starts to revert. If you have any questions, leave a comment below. Thanks for watching! 💕
Good results! Have you ever tried a Revair blow dryer? I have one and my hair is 4b and my hair looks straighter than yours did after blow drying. It takes me about 15 minutes and I don’t have to run a brush through my hair many times causing unnecessary breakage. I use it on the highest setting and on fully detangled hair. I highly recommend. The price is worth it imo.
@@likemycommentifyouwantareply I haven’t tried that before no, but defo looks like something I’d like to have in the future. Yeah I’ve seen a lot of videos on here about em 👌🏾👌🏾
I am about to do mine for the first time. My hair is like yours. I make my hair last almost 3 months. I use the kera care dandruff one which make my scalp stay clean longer
3 months! That is amazing! 👏🏾👏🏾 I kept my hair straight this time round for about 6 weeks and absolutely loved the break😅 I actually have the blue one as well but I haven’t tried it yet 👌🏾 Thanks for letting me know x
This is an EXCELLENT TUTORIAL! Thank you so much! So much detail! I thought I was doing what I needed to do as it "made sense to me" however now I realize I was damaging it as I always get damage to my hair when I flat iron (which I blamed solely on the heat of the flat iron) but when I started to investigate what others were doing and them not getting damage, I realized that the products you use to prep hair for heat and ironing (on naturally curly hair) needs to be different! Uuugh! I was using the same conditioning products for my curly routine which just sizzles my hair as I use the flat iron. Also I never really deep clean my hair as I was always afraid of stripping it but I THINK it should be done (right??? 🤔) in order to remove silicone and such so I just don't cook that in my hair. Hydration doesn't mean add oil before you flat iron....which is what I thought my hair needed! I do want to find out if my hair is porous or not to help me decide what ingredients works best for my hair type. My hair is as curly as yours but I'm not sure if it's porus or not. Thank you so much again! Also have you used the Dyson Airwrap? In order for your hair to hold a curl longer it needs to be slightly damp with water before you roll it however that causes my ends and hair to get wavy. The result is now a frizzy curl. All my efforts done to straighten now got compromised with making hair damp. 🥺 Do you have any suggestions? Using a holding hairspray before hand may not be good if I need to recurl my hair daily with the dyson airwrap. What are your thoughts?.
Thank you for the feedback 🥰 It was a long video and tried to fit in every tip i had lol, so i hoped it was informative 😅 You’re not alone. I’ve seen a lot of ppl do the same. Even when blow drying I wouldn’t recommend anything thick or heavy. The oil conducts heat and as you said sizzles the hair. And yes deep clean the hair, you want the hair free from everything, with only the products you’re using to blow dry and straighten which should be lighter products. Yes i used to use oil when i used to wear my hair straight all the time and my hair would come out straighter but my hair was heat trained so I didn’t notice any damage at the time. I also used to prepoo my hair with oil only a few years ago and that weighed my hair down too much and I possibly was damaging my hair too. Ok so when you apply products to your hair over the week, do you feel it sits on top of your hair or does it soak right in? Or when you add water to your hair does it dry up straight away? My hair soaks up product and water really quickly so my hair is high porosity (the top part if my hair acts a lil different, so I don’t need to add as much product). I haven’t used the dyson air wrap and I could only imagine my hair would do the same if i needed to add water to my hair beforehand lol. Hmm 🤔 maybe spraying the hair with a lil bit of leave in (water based) or the hairspray sounds like a good idea too, or both. From just seeing the product online and looking at the reviews they don’t have a model example with my kind of hair and some of the bad reviews are from ppl with thicker and longer hair. I’m going to look up some videos on here to see how it works on our hair. Anymore i can help out with, just let me know 😊And thank you for watching ❤️
I use that same Denman brush. It really does make a difference. Keracare products are great for black hair textures. They really do set you up for successful styling.
Thank you! 😊 Well happy with the results, never had it this silky before, not even at the hairdressers 😅 Thank you! I had a lot of single strand knots and ended up cutting until I didn’t feel em anymore 😂 Spring cleaning lol. Thanks for watching 💗
So i ended up buying the “RØDE VideoMic GO On Camera Microphone” on Amazon for £53. Before i was using the “BOYA BY-M1 Clip-On Microphone” which is £15. I don’t actually think it’s broken, i did the voice over with it, but when i set it for camera use it doesn’t record any sound. Maybe it’s the batteries. But I wanted to upgrade to the Rode one anyway because the clip on mic gets in the way when I’m doing my hair and i won’t het the best quality sound if it’s far away. But it is a very good starter mic. I didn’t wanna be spending too much money on my UA-cam gear but I definitely have invested a fair amount 😅
@@SarahNaturally1111 Lol, right?! I still need to get another computer because mine died😭! I’ll probably get the Rode one too- eventually 😅! Thanks for sharing!
@@ShadesofSage Oh my 🙈 My Mac sounds like it’s gonna fly away when I’m doing voiceovers 😅 These things weren’t made to last honestly. Last until the next release 😅😅 Love the rode mic, it’s so clear 😍 not so much for voice overs though, still using the Boya for that. No worries 💗
Thanks you do much for your review I’m going to use your technique on my 4b hair I hope it will look good !! It’s been 2 years since I’m using keracare products I really love it but it will be the first time that I will straighten my hair and I just wanted to ask if I should use another shampoo and conditioner as it is my regular product that I use or if I should change it when I want to straighten my hair. Hope you understand, sending you a lot of love from France ❤️❤️
Yeah you can defo use whatever shampoo and conditioner you like, but I suggest not to use anything too stripping. No I wouldn’t buy a new shampoo and conditioner just for my straightening routine, however I believe some products are formulated to work better with heat. Yes KeraCare never disappoints 🥰 Good luck and don’t get the urge to do too many passes lol
The way i see it is that the deep conditioner penetrates the shaft whereas the conditioner is for the outer layer of the hair. A lot of people only use deep conditioner only so it should be fine and could save some coins too lol
Yeah especially when I straighten them again after a week 😅 Those are my weak points as well because i wear buns. I recon high buns are more damaging than the heat tho lol
