What a gift you have Brittany !! This mask is sure to become an heirloom . Does anybody else find these videos extremely therapeutic ? I can actually hear the stress leaving and my blood pressure go down like letting air out of a balloon 😂 thanks again Brittany !!
Really like the work. I have made leather sheaths for years and have fallen in love with the sheath style that you find on old Daniel Winkler knives. Very traditional Native American/ French Trade era style. Lots of raw hide use. I am a bit of a perfectionist but the natural and imperfect, rugged look that His Wife made are incredible
Un GRAND BRAVO pour tout ce que vous faites , c'est Beau et merci , Cordialement . A BIG BRAVO for everything you do, it is Beautiful and thank you , Cordially .
Nice job. I found that if you point the hose of a shop vac (trigger clamps and duct tape work great) at the sander, there is much less cleanup. Thanks for the video.
Knives are carried in sheaths, Axes are cased in Masks. Never the less, nice job on your Axe Mask. Hand stitching, burnishing, and “Sno-Seal”, shows craftsmen ship, well done 👍.
Great job as always! Did you make the block for your makers mark or is their someone who makes them to order? Looking for something to brand my woodworking.
Gonna have to make a few more before I feel confident enough to sell them online! :) this one was made for a friend so I’m waiting for some feedback first! Need to make sure it’s safe :)
Hi there, just wanted to say thank you for your content, I absolutely love it, it’s inspired me to try out this craft, I have just a few questions, if you can find the time to help that would be so cool, Can you tool pre dyed leather, Can you recommend any specific swivel knife and lastly do you see an EDC pouch in you creative agenda, that would be amazing to see, thanks again, stay safe and have a great Christmas. I’m Darren from the UK by the way 😊
Hi Darren! ☺️ thanks so much, that’s super kind of you. As for your questions… you can tool pressed leather but it gets difficult if it already has a finish. The stamping won’t set properly, the best to to get natural vegtan and dye it yourself. As for my swivel knife… I honestly don’t have any fancy one. Was a cheap thing I bought at a leather store, don’t know the brand? And lastly Yeeesss… I’ve been wanting to do one for a while now. Just need to get to designing. ☺️
What setting do you use on your heat gun when sealing the Sno-Seal coating. I live in New Jersey. I know we don't get the extreme weather that your do, but I hunt and would like to waterproof my leather gear. I really enjoy your videos.
There’s only a low and high setting, I use the low. It just needs to feel hot to the touch and the wax will absorb 👌🏼 I know some ppl will apply it around a fire… gotta be careful with that one tho ;) and thank you, it’s much appreciated. ☺️
Just stumbled onto your video, I am starting to do some leather work as I recently retied but I also have arthritis. What is the brand and model number of the press you are using? Thank you.
Thanks so much. ☺️ and it’s a new trick I recently learnt, it’s so much better this way… it allows the dye to soak in more evenly annnd you don’t need to apply as many coats. Definitely recommend 👌🏼
How many $60. English point punches do you buy a year, DRIVING THEM INTO YOUR TOOLING GRANIT SLAB? Let alone hole punches, stitching chisels, etc..... 😳🙄😕
@@freakofnatureco Good to know!! Never heard of a Japanese cutting board, sure looked like a tooling slab, on video! I was cringing, everytime I saw you drive a tool into it! 😳😖😲😎
Lol 😂 you are not the only person to think it’s granite.. definitely looks like it.. I’m seeing them more and more often in supply stores. It’s originally from OKA leather supply (I think it’s called) love it 👌🏼
Who likes the more traditional look? I love the natural edge on this one.🪓 Leave me a comment and show some love🫶 I hope everyone is doing well!☺
I love the older traditional look, glad it's not being forgotten. Stay safe, hope airs not too horrible. Love and respect.
I love their chainsaws

Thanks so much Dustin! ☺️☺️ I definitely feel my stress slip away when I’m crafting! Just escape to my own universe! Happy I can do that for you too!
The natural look of leather is often the most over looked. Thank you for taking time to build, film, edit and post this video.
Thanks for watching ☺️
I LOVE my new hatchet mask!! Great video guys and huge thanks for the beautiful work of art! I have the coolest friends 😅
Daaw thanks so much! 😘😘

Thanks so much! ☺️ means a lot
Amazing 😮
Thanks 😄
I like the simplicity of this one! So nice! Awesome work again!!!
Thank you 😘
Simple. Natural. Beautiful. Good job Britt! ❤️
Thank you 😘
Simple, minimal materials, bust most of all functional while still being aesthetically pleasing.
That’s exactly what I was going for 👌🏼the owner of the hatchet is quite the minimalist so I tried my best to make it suit her :)
Yup. A far superior leather sheath. Very well made. Your Huskie will appreciate it for years.
Thank you! ☺️
That’s a great hatchet. I have one and made my own sheath. Thanks! 🔪🎸
It is a great little hatchet! Thanks so much for watching ☺️

Phenomenal craftsmanship. You make it look easy ❤
Thanks so much! :) and it’s all in the editing, shhh 😉
@@freakofnatureco I have a knife from the civil war. Maybe someday I’ll get a new sheath made for it using the original brass clips
That’s a great idea!

Thanks so much! Can’t go to crazy on everything I do! ☺️
I personally like the mask strap to go around the shoulder of the handle…but that just my preference
You did a great job on that 😊
I’ve actually yet to make one that style… future project forsure! ☺️ as always thanks for watching Alan!
As an old guy, big yes on the trad look.
Thanks! ☺️I like to mix it up sometimes!
Wow, I never realized how much work goes into leather craft. Thanks for opening my eyes. Your awesome 👍

Thanks! I appreciate that! :)
Love watching you work, thanks for sharing!
Thank you! And thank you for watching! ☺️
I'm fan of the natural look also. My first ax sheath many years ago leaves a few things to desire. Now it's 8 oz. Leather and line 24 snaps. :)
I love the natural/simple look too but I also love tooling… haha hard finding the balance sometimes! :p thanks for watching

I got a friend to make them for me. Their made out of aluminum, they get pricy when your looking as brass. Lots of places to look online tho 👌🏼
great job!!!
Thank you ☺️

Amazing work the boys said it’s an axe their size lol and how often should I reapply the water proofing stuff on my axe and knife sheaths?
Hahaha their not wrong! Still a dangerous tool tho! ;) and now your testing me! Once a season maybe? 🤓
Great job. What stitching method did you use on this project?
It’s a saddle stitch… using the “piggy back method”
Where did you get that amazing squatch stamp?
It’s my makers mark, custom made by a friend who works a cnc machine 👌🏼
Cool Bigfoot thingy. 😂
Thanks ☺️
whens the new stuff coming?
Thank you, algorithm.
Haha 😂 something I think it knows me better then myself ;) thanks for watching
Just stumbled onto your video, I am starting to do some leather work as I recently retied but I also have arthritis. What is the brand and model number of the press you are using? Thank you.
It’s a 1.25 ton craftool pro hand press from Tandy :)
Got it, thank you.
Curious, you put on Neats Foot Oil before the dye? Never seen this done before, is there a reason or benefit? BTW, great job on the sheath!
