Thank you. I will be doing some load development for a 6.5 prc with retumbo also. Did you stay with the retumbo or did you go to h-1000 or stabile 6.5? The longer barrel should give the slower powders more burning time. Are you using magnum primers?
My Labradar was especially finicky until I contacted their customer service. They replaced the unit’s internal microphone (under warranty for me) and now at the range, it occasionally drops a shot, but for the most part it picks up everything I shoot down range. Matt, I have had great success with H 1000 in my 65 PRC. Can I ask what brass and bullet you are loading in your load development process?
My LabRadar was very finicky also. Bought the MK machining remote trigger and that helped but it still misses shots and muzzle blast knocks it out of alignment causing missed shots. Went back to my 35+ year old Oehler. Problem solved. Going to be testing the Garmin.
No. It is longer. The original barrel was 24". The new one is 30 inches with a Heavy Palma profile. It is geared more fore long range precision. The original setup was more for being mobile and the new setup is intended for stability and better recoil mitigation.
@@albertlemont5471 no disrespect intended. I have had tremendous success in this caliber with IMR4831, I MR 7828 SSC and H 1000. I have tried H 4831SC and it will just not shoot well with my rifle.
So glad I didn't buy a labradar. Was going to buy a magnetospeed but went with the garmin instead. Hope you get things sorted out
Thanks for watching!

I am using H1000. For primers, Federal GM210M. They are match grade standard large rifle.
Get one of those external triggers from NETT1500
I already got a new chronograph. I'm really enjoying my Garmin Xero C1!

I am using Lapua Brass and Berger 153.5gr long range hybrid target bullets
@@mattsreloadingbench Berger makes amazingly consistent, accurate bullets. They are not inexpensive but they shoot repeatedly very well for me
@@davestein4162 I agree.

Why a new barrel...is the new one shorter?

Still not on a Garmin yet?
Stay tuned
H 1000 is your friend
I have used it before and had good results.
I'll take that 26 off your hands
Sorry bud... I will be using it for fire forming brass.
@mattsreloadingbench that is a total.waste of 26! Use H4831SC 🙏

It might be, but it will save from Un needed wear on my new barrel
@davestein4162 nor mine but just using it to form brass is betternthan reloder 26! I am jealous! I can find it anywhere!
