    Top tip.
    Don't buy expensive powders.
    A tray of artists pastels will give you more colours to work with at a fraction of the cost.

      I too use chalk pastels dose exactly the same job
      However I’ve used up all my black and light brown 😆
      One for the Christmas list 👍
      Hope to see you at warley 👍

      It’s real easy and if all fails wiping off will leave very subtle effects too so it’s a winner either way 👍😉

    • @cheekytek
      @cheekytek  6 років тому

      Alex I’m still learning lol but the best way that I learn is by having a go and if all fails it’s only a little wagon that can be repainted etc..
      Thanks as always Garry

    • @cheekytek
      @cheekytek  5 років тому

      Hi buddy
      The train room is 12x8 feet round the edge of the room giving me a big space to work in..

      Just one question Garry , what exactly does the Decalfix do to the weathering powder ?
      ........Peter

    • @cheekytek
      @cheekytek  6 років тому

      Weathering powders and decal fix Mix nicely and make a strong pigment like paint
      The best way to explain this is the Humbrol video as I’ve added here - this will answer in demonstrated way

    When I use powders they seem to find their way all over the kitchen, my clothes and the cat!

    • @cheekytek
      @cheekytek  4 роки тому

      Lol - I know what you mean.
      I either do it out the way or an old towel catches dust particles which slightly helps keeping the cat from looking weathered. 😉
      Thanks buddy
