Hello Jon, how good it is to wake up on a Saturday morning and have a good video to watch, I have this same kit in my stash, at first glance I already appreciated its benefits, however when watching the video it is more than clear that it is a Excellent model and its very economical value, it is highly recommended to have it and it brings what is necessary for a good assembly. Regarding the colors, when I saw the color reference on the sheet, I also doubted its fidelity. It seems to me that the proposed solution gives it great visual appeal. In addition to the arrangement of colors, you added the shape of the camouflage itself. A plus, I will take this idea into account when it comes time to put it together. Greetings and until the next video.
Good morning, Francisco. The colors in the marking guide could be correct since they're similar to an earlier Fw190 D-9. But, there's an endless combination of colors it could have been. So, I went with a color combination I didn't already have, and that was plausible. I like the way it turned out. I also have the Italeri/Dragon Ta152 H on the shelf, so I will review that kit in the future. Cheers!
ITS SATURDAY 😊… That’s a nice looking aircraft… I built a HOBBYBOSS 1/72 Wildcat to see the quality… It was OK… BUT, I’m impressed with this kit, Everything !!!!!!!!! You did a VERY NICE JOB on your build… I like your color choices… I WOULD BUY THIS KIT……. Another Great Review… Mister, you’re really pumping out your reviews, always enjoy them… HAVE A GREAT SATURDAY CHRIS 🇺🇸
Thank you, Chris! The HobbyBoss Fw190s and Ta152s are hard to beat. Tamiya-like fit, good decals, decent shape, and nice surface detail. What's not to like? Cheers!
I have built the hobbyboss 1/18 fw190 and bf109 and also have the me262 in the stash. I havent built this ta152 yet but have built the jv44 fw190d9 in 1/48 which came out amazing. The HB ta152 is definately next on my list.
Cautionary note, the Cowling and radiator are wrong for a Ta-152. They are correct for any D model 190. The Ta 152 had a ducted radiator and the C model also had an oil cooler visible at the top. Compare with the cowl and radiator of either the ZM or Dragon/Italeri/Trimester Ta-152H
Thanks for the heads-up, Brett. I couldn't find any C-1 pictures (of actual aircraft) during the build. However, I can look at the Italeri Ta-152H I have and compare. Cheers!
Another great subject and an impressive kit from Hobby Boss. The paint scheme you did is very close to what I would think this version should have…and really how many out there would know if it wasn’t? Great review Jon! Thanks
Thank you! Since I could find no photos of the original plane, I went with a color combination it could have had. Truthfully, by this stage of the war, there are endless possibilities for what the colors could have been. Cheers!
Haven't built a Hobby Boss before, but this is certainly an incentive to do so. Excellent cockpit detail, your paint schemes are always incredible. Seems like the Swastikas are not and miss in kits, Some have you piece them together, others are full, while some completely left out. I did order a set of mixed scale, just have to remember where :-)
Thank you! They are included in the kit. The Hobby Boss kits can be hit or miss, depending on the subject, so check reviews before spending your money on one. I would highly recommend the Fw190s from Hobby Boss as well. Cheers!
G'Day Jon - The 152 series(and 190D) from HB are great "mojo-builds" - not overly complex, go together with a practically no filler and look great when finished. You won't find any photos of a C-1 as there was only one prototype of the C-0 built, which is well documented. Anything after that is Luft'46 so you can have fun with the colour schemes 🙂 The only real criticism with the kit is the weird bulge on the upper cowling - this should be way more rounded not some knife-edge sharp lump. Don't forget the antenna wire 🙂 Cheers
Thanks, Mikey! I didn't forget about the antenna wire. I dileberately don't put them on my kits so I can occasionally pick them up and dust them (even in the display case they collect some dust). It's difficult enough to not break off pilot tubes, etc, during the process. I can't imagine trying not to break a wire. Just my personal choice there. Cheers!
I haven't seen an H version from HobbyBoss. I'll check into that. But I will be reviewing the Italeri/Dragon/Trimaster H version in a future episode. Cheers!
@larsulrich3356 That's what I have heard. I didn't worry about it myself. I couldn't find any pictures of this aircraft (the C-1 variant) to confirm or deny any shape issues. Cheers!
Personally, I prefer seeing swastikas on models. I think it is important to capture history realistically and faithfully, warts and all. In other words, I don't agree with tearing down statues and re-writing history to accommodate the tender feelings of some (usually the young and ill-educated). Sorry to get so serious.

Right on, Ben! It is a very nice build with no real surprises. Cheers!

Beautiful model of a beautiful airplane!
Thanks, Juan!
This is much better than Trimaster's old Ta-152. Does Hobby Boss do an H version?
I haven't seen an H version from HobbyBoss. I'll check into that. But I will be reviewing the Italeri/Dragon/Trimaster H version in a future episode. Cheers!
Shape of the prop spinner?? What's wrong with it?
@@larsulrich3356 Evidently, it's a little too pointy for the luft-experten. Cheers!
@@jonsmodelkitreview4624 Is it not historically accurate to scale?

@@jonsmodelkitreview4624 Historical accuracy is historical accuracy to me. Shrug*

Sorry to get so serious.
Changing history deprives us of the opportunity to learn from our mistakes. Cheers!
@@jonsmodelkitreview4624 Spot on!
I totally agree with you.
