I remember right after this they pulled us all in and said "I have good news and bad news. The good news; you sound PHENOMENAL. The bad news.. the show is cancelled. They can't figure out how to turn the lights on." As soon as all the corps were finished playing through their shows in the lot, the lights turned on. Of course...
That was a good day, floppy ;) the crowd had us so jazzed up we almost forgot how bad our left arm hurt! Can't believe I'm just finding this now. Damn we sounded good that night.
The '93 low brass was so powerful that the hit at the end of the opener they had to split up the company front and move the highs up in front of the lows...where the Buicks got our name. Back in the 128-member days, no less! Well done, 2012--SUTA!!
As a former Phantom R. color guard (weapons) member, I am so proud of you. When I just listened to that, I started to weep. It envoked such emotion within me, and that is what music is supposed to do. Keep up the great work. Go P.R.!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
No matter how high quality of a video, it will just never do any drum corps justice. The energy of the members and the rest of the crowd around you it just something you can capture.
I know that Phantom Regiment does the exercise of holding the keys halfway to help with projection, but what fingerings are they? It seems like they're really struggling and I can't seem to get the same type of effect.

They will always be my favorite corps.
I will never, ever get over how amazing their tone is!

DCI is just one of the few truly wholesome things in life that it's completely ok to be obsessed with :)
They move me. I can't help but grin, get amped and wait for the goosebumps. The tone is so strong and pure.
They say the sound is great in person, but even from the computer I get chills!!
When I heard this live for the first time...goshhh, I don't know what heaven is like, but I'd imagine it's like this.
That awkward screaming at the end....lol
Yep it's that time of year again.....time for some sick ass playing
I feel like jumping off a cliff now! GOSH!!!! That was amazing!
Yes. It builds pressure, so when they hit the chord, it pops. It's a really cool, yet simple effect.
I've been waiting for this soo long :')
I hate that this can never compare to the feeling you get when you're right in front of them!
What's even better is being in it...
I. HAVE. TO. SEE. THIS. LIVE.
Same here, this is awesome! :D

Oh hai Michael Martin!
Far far over magical, I'd rather place this kinda music among those few melodies sharing direct tickets to God Almighty Concerts Room.....
i walk right behind him and sit down
They're just doing half fingerings to get the feeling of how the chord will hit right?
WANT...TO...JOIN!

I remember when Michael Martin was "Tito." We were young... pbr
what model trumpet do they use?
Are they still playing the lords prayer?
Is that Michael Martin conducting?

+jaewon hwang All of 'em! Just push all the valves halfway down and put as much air as you can into it.
half valving is for the player (you) to lip the note with your air and use ears to listen to others
the only difference is you dont get up from being hit in the chest with a baseball bat and ask for it again
You don't come out of getting hit in the chest with a baseball bat asking for more, though
im a Phan
