I, for one, am so fukken glad he didn't self-destruct as it looked like he would back in the early-mid '90s! Very few who stare into the abyss as long as he did during that period in his life come back alive, but he's one of the rare exceptions -- and we're oh-so lucky for it that he's still around making his unique and beautiful music for those who appreciate his quirkiness!
I definitely think that he was talking about Josh as one of those men. Didn't he also give Josh one of his guitars at this time. He thought very highly of him and played with him in many of his solo albums.
the 4 th dimension is like a place where you too can get people it's a place of pure energie where you're trancending into a spiritual state ... the most close i ever been to it was writing and at some friends gig.... it is an awesome sensation
I feel bad for John. It seems like whoever he is with he attributes his own personality traits to them and looks up to them when the truth is he is the one that makes amazing music and the people around him benefit from it. I think his music, developmentally and generally is better than lennons. But i also think that josh klinghoffer was taken under his wing and was a stand in for him in rhcp. I think Anthony kiedis benefitted from him and the rest of the band mates but somehow john has stated he believes he would not have created music without AK. But he has, in which he can produce many different sounds including vocals which are incredible imo. Even his ex wife had him and other musicians make hers more palatable. What feels even more insidious is that the previous guitar player in rhcp died from heroin addiction and john found himself in that same hole. The difference is that he actually climbed out of it rather than died. The only thing john got out of rhcp is a lot of money and fame, two things he seems to ultimately not find very valuable. I relate to him when it comes to projecting virtue onto others when its really you who is embodying those virtues. I could be completely wrong but im so glad he ended up creating his own solo music.
that's the most poetic, therefore very much John Frusciante, thing i can think of John Frusciante saying. Johns fans ought to give the above comment some more love. ❤ peace
“I’ll tell you who it’s for, it’s for somebody they could be of this audience they could’ve been in my audience in Paris I don’t know who the f they are. There’s two people who are gonna make music as good as John Lennon, I was informed that by a spirit. There’s two people in the world who are gonna make music as good as John Lennon and they both like me and one of their names I already know and it starts with the same letter as my name starts with, and he’s my friend (Josh Klinghoffer) and then there’s somebody else who I don’t know where the f they are they could be here, they could be in New York they could be in Venezuela for all I know, but anyways this song is written for them.”
Ok no offense to Josh or anything, he is an amazing musician and creates amazing sounds, but comparing him to John Lennon? Im sure Fru has many musician friends who have names starting with J. Josh's music in my opinion couldnt reach what lennon did in affecting our nation, so I'm kinda skeptical that its Josh or Omar. If anyone in this ring of friends is like Lennon, its John anyways. maybe he's just being modest and talking about himself : D
WE'RE ALL THE SECOND PERSON
@muchtoohard YES!!!!
