Writers were on hand to suggest things for participants to say and do to make it more dramatic.

Being gay myself I always thought the concept of dating shows (the ones with a “prize” being fought for anyway) didn’t work well with homosexuals. I mean, what makes the “prize” the most obtainable man? What prevents the guys in the van from hitting it off and going with each other? If it were like a gay bachelor what would keep any of the guys from developing feelings for each other and choosing a contestant rather than the bachelor himself? Just a thought.

I always thought Room Raiders was kinda a show back then seemed like a guilty pleasure and entertaining for MTV, but now I see how much of a flawed show it is. I think there is a lot of rash judgments based on how a persons bedroom looks like, which to me I feel in many cases are dismissive, but whatever.
bedroom is a good determinant of character, so compared to other 5 minutes speed dating shows this is the best bet
