  • Some travel tips about places on Mull, Ulva, and Morvern that most tourists miss.
    1) The "Wishing Stone" near the terminal for the Lochaline ferry to Mull.
    2) The Basalt Columns on the Isle of Ulva, a bit less impressive than the geology of Staffa, but a worthy alternative if you are worried about getting seasick or want a cheaper day out.
    3) Eas Fors waterfall on the west coast of Mull. An impressive waterfall that is best viewed from a rocky shore that few people ever visit.
    4) Kilmore Standing Stones, an easily accessed neolithic monument not far from the village of Dervaig on Mull.
    5) Wild Oysters - a beach where you can find wild Scottish oysters, but we are keeping this one a secret to give the oysters a chance to recover from overfishing.
Not one of my better efforts as the weather wasn't on my side so I couldn't fit in the longer hikes that I'd planned for the video.

Thank you! We visited Eas Fors waterfall
Perhaps the most well known of all the Isle of Mull waterfalls is Eas Fors. Located on the west coast of Mull, not far from the famed Isle of Mull scenery of Laggan Bay, these falls are easily accessible from the road. Excellent!

Did you find the way to the bottom of the falls. It's not signposted and it is a bit hard to explain the way to find it but we tried to explain it in our travel guides.

Thank you, I do so enjoy these. Been dying to get over there for decades now. Turns out, I’m a half breed American mix of Scottish & English. Idk if I’m ever going to get the chance or have the $$ so again; love these as I get to see it, albeit vicariously. ☮️🌹🌟

Thanks Violet. I know my videos are amateurish efforts so it's lovely to hear that someone enjoys them. I had hoped to show you lots of other things but the weather was very windy with low cloud so we had to abandon the longer hikes that were planned. One of my missions was to take my son up Ben More (the highest peak of Mull), but we got 3/4 of the way up and were in thick clouds with a wind that was pushing us over. No pleasure in that so we turned back, but we both commented afterwards that we felt my Father's presence walking with us on the mountain.

No need for a swimsuit for the Eas Fors. Nice place for a swim and a shower 😁

These aren't graves. These are stones that were left at the boundary stone by members of the funeral party on the way to the graveyard in the next parish.
