Kentucky has the second most stone arches of all the states, over 2000. (Utah has most) The Daniel Boone National Forest has many ,many waterfalls (around 1000 ). Lots of beautiful mountains ,creeks, rivers, caves, rock formations, and abundant wildlife. Deer, elk, turkeys, fox, black bears, and even armadillo. Plenty of whitewater for kayaking. Thousands of miles of trails. I’ve lived there for 55 years, and I still haven’t seen it all. Maybe if i lived to be 100 ,i might. Stop in for a visit sometime. It’s rarely crowded, and it’s always laid back.
Yahoo falls was one of my favorite places. Iv spent over 8 hours walking there more then once. Iv caught a lot of snakes there. Copper heads mostly baby’s be safe there cause you get bit your not going to make it out to get treated. I was very young and did not realize the danger. Plus watch parking there people will steal your car or anything in it or on it. My sister got married there boy what a beautiful fun wedding. Thank you for sharing this video sure brought back some wonderful times. ❤
@@AmericasParks you as well 👍 my nephew, used to repel down the arch. Cumberland Falls is amazing. They have a lot of walking paths. My grandma actually got to go under the falls back in her day they would let you go behind it. I probably would invest in a airhorn for purposes of dogs and bear. One more thing and I’ll quit bugging you. There’s a train ride in Stearns Kentucky. It’s a beautiful ride if you ever get a chance take it.
A nice, cool find in KY. We lived across the Ohio River in Indiana in a river town and visited many of the state parks, Land Between the Lakes, and Mammoth Cave NP many times. We missed this gem. Thanks for sharing.
@@AmericasParks If you go to the Land Between the Lakes, our car looses the map-says no satellite. So make sure you know where you are going. We went camping there while my cousins boat & swim in the lakes when they go from southern IN. It's a big area-Enjoy!
Definitely would like to visit West Virginia sometime this year got a lot of hikes on the list we want to do! There's lots of Legends from the Indians that used to live and those mountains talking about Giants and things who knows maybe they were back then 🤔
feels like summer, very nice! cool falls and a great swimming area/ nice cabin too, you are spoiled hahah / thanks for taking us with you, watching a bunch of your videos today great stuff
I was a bit surprised that you didn't get under the waterfall, and my oldest daughter said "Dad, this might be the first video where Randy doesn't jump in the water." I reminded her that the video wasn't over LOL. Tell Julie that my girls were proud of her for dunking all the way under. They felt the same at String Lake (Grand Teton NP). Thanks for sharing as always and Much Love
What a great video! I know that swimming hole felt wonderful after your humid hike. Love that cozy little cabin! It's perfect! Thanks for taking us along!
Nice work buddy, cool place! You must have forgot about our SUPER Sketch campground in Grand Junction with the feral cats surrounding us! Crazy what up with the Parks. . . I recently did an “arch” trip outside of arches. Amazing!
Hey buddy, how can I forget about those cats! They definitely wanted our chicken! lol! Been off YT, need to get over and check out some of your vids! Take care and be safe out there!
@@AmericasParks Man, glad to hear from you. I’ve gone desert crazy, biked the Monument road today and had several very cool visits to Moab. I found some great arches not in the park, can’t believe they shut us tubers down in the NP’s,! Won’t last I don’t think. . . Timed entry starting in April I think too for Arches, I head there was a 30minute line last Saturday. Did some really cool new stuff right by the Fisher towers also… hope all is well, my best to the family!
I will take humid covered by trees than no trees. Looking at you Florida. I only did Mammoth cave in Kentucky. I am hoping to get back there to do more exploring in three years. So adding this to the list.
Thank you for all the videos. I heard that UA-camrs are being legally treated like big time movie productions, and I hope that doesn't limit your vids. Edit: meaning the NPS adds phenomenal rules to filming.
Was thinking of you, your family, and youtube channel as I visited the John Muir Birthplace museum here in Scotland last weekend. Hard to believe I was standing in the same house as the great man once lived! Thanks for these incredible insights into the natural landscapes over the in the States, and wish you all the best for 2023
Wow, what a great comment... what a wonderful experience! He has done so much for our national parks. Greetings back from the US and all the best to you in 2023!
Loved this one Randy. Its making me long for the long, warm days of summer. Love it when you included your camping adventures as well. When I was OTR, I went around KY a fair amount. Such a pretty state.
After Shane was plummeted by the water, I would have sold the park as “Yeah this shower is an absolute beauty” Hahaha! The swimming hole, as the “Gentleman’s bathtub”. I should go learn to make my own videos, but for now I will continually enjoy your fantastic adventures. You certainly looked very pleasantly happy at the end to be sleeping in a cabin instead of the tent.
That waterfall was really high and beautiful! The fact that your son could go underneath it and get wet was awesome! Nice arch as well. Yeah, those waterholes must have been great on a hot, humid day like this. That was a cozy little cabin at the end! Cool video, Randy!!
That was quite an adventure. I forgot about those waterfalls and arches- pretty amazing find- not many people there either. No thank you on the catfish though 😂
This is a beautiful, fun trip in the woods. I’ll have to check it out on the map…pretty sure my mother-in-law grew up in that area 🤔. Thanks so much for sharing your adventures and giving great travel tips. Take care always!
Pastor Randy, I’m hearing on other channels that some court case was recently overturned allowing the National Park Service to ban commercial video activity for UA-cam, etc. Greatly appreciate it if you would do a video on the known facts about this, what it really means going forward (?) and your personal position pertaining to: is this really constitutional? I think the case needs to go all the way to the Supreme Court for the sake of freedom, liberty and our constitutional rights that millions of Americans have fought for (and many died for) throughout the entire duration of our national history. Government is FOR the people and it’s time we stand up for our freedom!
Hi Jeff, actually became aware of that recently. Personally not sure what to do. With you 100% on your remarks, which by the way, were very well articulated. UA-camr Jeven Dovey has put out some good content on this subject. Thanks for the comment!
OTHER PARTS ARE UP AND DOWN VERY STEEP HILLS ON THE NARROWEST PATH IMAGINABLE AND VERY UNEVEN WITH FALLS JUST INCHES TO EITHER SIDE OF THOUSANDS OF FEET. YEAH. HAPPY TRAILS.
OK, MY FAULT. THIS IS THE VIDEO I MEANT TO SEND IN MY COMMENT BELOW. THERE IS NO HIKE LIKE IT. PARTS OF IT ARE HIGH PEEKS AND DECERNTS WITH NO CLEAR TRAIL ON WHAT LOOKS TO BE A VERY UNSTABLE SURFACE. ua-cam.com/video/sQN9JqbogkE/v-deo.html
That fisherman was definitely a Kentucky lifer!
Always so wonderful to get immersed in the local culture!
Wow just wow
Thanks for the comment, Sandy!

That was funny, Jymn! You know I never turn down a nice swim! :)
I have to say--that looked like fun. I "suffered for the Lord" in 1 of those cabins last summer down in the Cape Canaveral area. They're really nice.
haha... Owed this one to the family after the campground the night before! :)
Never enough perfects! Good on you for dunking your head, Julie - not my favorite thing either when it's cold. But wow - no people!
Hey Heather! Thanks for stopping by the channel. Haven't been on YT much lately. Hope you guys are doing well!

Yeah, just started looking into that one last night. Need to see how things play out. Total government overreach imho. Thanks for the kind words!
You have the weirdest experiences with campgrounds, lol. Missing those hot and humid conditions now!

Hey Robert, really an under-rated state. Good folks and beautiful scenery. Take care!
Another excellent video! Thank you.
Have you ever visited Breaks Interstate Park which straddles the KY/VA border?
Thanks much, Mike! Appreciate the suggestion. Will take a look!
We were able to visit Kentucky for the first time in 2022. It was such a beautiful state, with the nicest people! Beautiful video!
Totally agree! Loved the folks and scenery. Glad to hear you've been out there!
