Pizza delivery jobs r dangerous now days. It's not worth the risks involved. I think about the drivers & thier safety whenever I see the delivery vehicles out in town.
seems they need to wear tactical gear and maybe a cape lol also need to be fully armed and be intimidating just to get your pizza delivery. also $20 an hour for a dangerous job doesn't seem like too much either. i mean they are literally risking their lives to deliver food!
@karla kirkpatrick im sorry but the wtf is this supposed to say and what does it have to do with the comment it is a reply to? it makes no sense at all in English.
It's probably fried poo. Flesh doesn't smell like sewage even if it rots. It's a particular smell but it doesn't smell like sewage. Which means the boss was literally cooking with poo.
You mean like the assholes threatening to dock their pay when they can't deliver to a corpse? Yeah... I'm sure they'll pay close attention to workers they consider imminently replaceable.
As one Id say at the very least should be able to track my phones location (if necessary), and they should at least know my license plate and car description too. Too many employers can be shady and will use a camera unfairly.
Or maybe he just wanted to wear his skin after cutting his face with a knife, the possibilites are endless and any of them sounds good in that particular situation
Okay, now I’m pretty freaked out. The last story, the one about the Pizza Bomber and Brian Welles hits pretty close to home. I just got home from work before watching this video, and the place that I work is less than one mile from where his bomb collar detonated. My Parents and Grandparents were good friends of his Family. It’s sad to know that there are such terrible people out there, and that they wiling to these things to satisfy their malicious needs. Other than that, great video as always. I love you, your channel, and your videos. And lots of love to all you out there watching this. 🙂
I really wanted that story to be fake. I always run google searches on the stories to see if I can see any truth to the ones that catch my interest (although I think I did recall hearing that story before, a while back). That one is just horrible all round. Poor guy, just doing his job :( I hope his family is doing okay.
Mcyxof Yes, sadly such a terrible thing did happen. I know that his Father passed away before this whole ordeal, but I feel awful for his Family and and friends. I can’t imagine having something like this happen to someone you know and love.
Tedd Adolphson I believe so, too. There are quite a few books and articles written about the crime. I know there is a movie that’s based off of it, it’s called “30 Minutes or Less”.
To me, it's the manner in which he reads the stories. Yeah, it's soothing and he has a smooth voice but using THAT tone to read horror stories? It ruins the stories for me, I'm only here because I've run out of horror story channels to watch/listen. It's creepy to read horror stories like you're reading fairy tales to children.
@Lasna34 Netflix actually has a show about this. The pizza guy was not the hit man. It was speculated that he was in on the plot as he had visited the house of one of the members who did plan this days prior to the incident. Also, in the surveillance footage taken from the bank he appears to be happy and not in fear for his life. It may be that he did not believe the bomb was real at that point. It took almost a decade to uncover what is now believed to be the full story. The pizza guy did in fact know several of the participants and was not a victim chosen at random.
my scariest pizza delivery story is the time i ordered pizza and then went downstairs to do laundry. i didn’t hear them knock on them door and when i called the store the employee who answered the phone got mad at me. i was 13 and it was my first time ordering any sort of delivery on my own so i felt like a failure ✊😔
That last story is so heartbreaking. It hurts me. Humans are real monsters. They will go to sickening lengths to not only get something from you, but to torture you and traumatize you in the process, or to kill you over something so trivial, while fully understanding their own premeditated actions. Blessed are those unborn to this world of madness.
I have heard of the last story and I feel like the pizza delivery guy was in on it. I watched the actual court proceedings about this case back then since my mom was fascinated and scared of this case because my uncle, her younger brother was a pizza delivery driver. There was so much evidence against him and how the bank teller literally said before he exited the bank he took one of the lollipops from the candy dish and proceeded to walk out nonchalantly. I also recommend to everyone here to watch the buzzfeed unsolved episode on this case and it's a doozy.

Ok, I’m going crazy trying to figure out what was on that “Durian” pizza! I tried to find the story online- no luck. Guessing it was a direct submission? But I want answers as to what it is SO badly!
So if it wasn't durian fruit on the pizza, then what was it? The first thing that comes to mind is human flesh, but idk for sure. That story kinda leaves me hanging...🤔
Rotting human flesh has a slight sweet scent undertone to many people, myself included. By no means is it good, it still reeks, but it’s somewhat familiar. So yes, it was fermented human flesh. Had to be.
A more likely explanation is Pangolin. Illegal, one of the most trafficked animals, it’s also considered a delicacy in certain Asian countries. When cooked it emits a awful smell that lingers and resembles the description of topping in question. A serious bummer either way.
I'm not too sure if that cat one is true, there's only one UK case of cats devouring their owner and that was a 56 year old discovered after neighbours got worried. Found by police in her kitchen, dead for weeks.
Yeah, it really doesn't ring true to me, either. Especially with the stereotypical "cat lady" and "cats bad" remarks. I think at least 3 of these stories were bullshit, quite honestly.
Ok, this was waaaaaay more entertaining than I could have ever thought delivering pizzas could be. Especially the mystery meat story. Possible cryptid ordering pizza, maybe? It's a working hypothesis. Great work as always sir.

Story 2 was more sad than scary. I imagine the person wore a mask and lived like a hermit because of his face being burned and assholes being nasty to him.
I remember the robbing then shoot the pizza driver in my area. The police started sending undercover officers (dressed as a pizza driver) riding shot gun of course with a gun.

@@FuzzyLittleBastard well yeah, it's the "all things considered" that's the problem ^.^ Although I don't think most pizza parlors suffer too much from bosses grabbing all the profits, they're usually pretty small.
@@Nerobyrne well by "all things considered" I mean that its an entry level job for college/high school students. Its not something you have for too long. Its only temporary until you can get into your carrer. If you want to make real money from a pizza place you gotta be a manager.
If I had to guess what the mystery meat on the "durian pizza" story is...maybe Hákarl? Although that's an Icelandic food, so idk why the boss would be going to Chinatown for it, but it's fermented, extremely pungent, smells like a backed up septic tank, looks rotten as hell, and if uncovered it's illegal to transport to the US, plus it's made of shark which would also explain the detail about the cooler used for fish. Of course, assuming the story is even true lol
“Scary pizza” is similar to creepy pasta. Where scarypizza is allegedly true stories and creepypasta is more creative fiction style horror. Just a lil fun fact that I just made up
doubt a manager from a pizza place has the connections to get human meat just like that, from the stench description they probably had something like fermented meat from china so no he didnt kill and cook it himself, what kind of meat tho? human would be too cliche and it would be weird for just a random pizzeria to have such connections, since its "illegal" imma guess maybe its dog or cat
Listening and realizing the Teddy Bear Picnic song is coming and laughing despite the sad story because the live reading of you figuring it was tff, lol
@@joleenphillips2415 - Yeah, I don't think a pizza manager is going to have the connections to just run out, and pick up human flesh as some suspect. Possibly a bit more creepy than beef, or pig liver though.
@@taylorcunningham2594 yes, but I figured it's like the Chinese delicacy (yuck) 100 year old egg. They love it but it stinks to high heaven and looks super creepy. They are fermented in special brines for a century. Kinda figured they might do the same thing with meat, perhaps. Heck, it's normal for some Asian cultures to eat rats, dogs, and cats. Maybe it's something like that. But who knows? The author never did seem to find out what it was.
It is so freaky when I hear stories I already know about on this channel. I saw the (censored) video of that delivery guy who got the bomb attached to him. I don't even want to imagine his brutal fear.
Detroit isn't a developed city though. It has been a democrat cesspit for decades now. Most people wouldn't go to certain areas in anything less than an armoured jeep with armed back-up.
@@smackedinthejaw yes Detroit is a developed city, but you let it undevelop like the rest of the nation. The entire system is fucked and only a violent revolution will fix it. But this kind of partisan thinking guarantees you won't ever unite to revolt, so the elites have done their job perfectly. The citizens hate each other so much they are unable to look at the bigger picture, so eventually all cities will look worse than detroit while you all insist it's the other party's fault.
@@Nerobyrne yeah except nearly all cities run by democrats look like dystopian nightmares whereas you'd be hard pressed to find a republican run city that looks and runs that way.
Your right with mayor Kwamee Kurpatrick idk if I spelled his name right.( former but what he did just screwed us for yrs to come) was the most hurtful thing since the riots. Detroit is actually full of beautiful architecture everywhere. I miss Boblo....fellow Detroiters born anytime before the mid 80's will know what I'm talking about. The 3 major Casinos were what started to bring soo much money back to the city. My favorite is actual MGM but Greektown and of course Motor City is awesome also especially when you get a free room at motor city.......soo beautiful of hotel rooms. I would fall asleep in the showers all the time. But seriously I love Detroit....born in Detroit raised across 8 mile in East Detroit and moved to Roseville finally eneded in Port Huron currently but yes it can be violent....never had a problem myself but you either love or hate it.
I live in North Dallas, it's bad enough in areas that I know some drivers will go to an entrance area to call the orderer to meet them there. Safety first!!!
It's 4 am & I can't sleep due tk having my gallbladder removed a few days ago . Thanks for the video. I replay your videos to help put me to sleep . Your voice is so relaxing 😴😪
I always love these stories so much! Just have to say though, it’s very awful that a person can’t even do their job! That you’d have to hurt a pizza delivery driver over 20 bucks! Wow!
Durian (jackfruit) can be used to make a meat substitute that looks like pulled pork... just sayin'. But, brilliant work as always, Lets Read! Thanks for making pizza creepy XD
durian and jackfruit are two very different fruits though? but! youre right that jackfruit is a pulled pork substitute, it's used to make vegan bbq uou
The Durian Fruit that turned out to be mystery meat was human meat. It’s a shady business that some funeral parlors preform when there’s a closed casket funeral.
The last one is a true story. There’s a Netflix documentary about it called evil genius. I think it’s really tasteless that the tragic death of this guy was used as a basis of a shitty comedy movie. Like. Really tasteless.

Except Mid-town being anywhere near 8 mile. They're like minimum 6 miles apart.
That last story is true. There's a great documentary about it.
I work in a pizzeria. Good thing I don't have a driving licence.
The burn one made me so sad :(
Currently waiting for little Caesars .. great timing.
Little Caesars delivers now?
@@christallh24 do you know if they do by now?
“Scary pizza” is similar to creepy pasta. Where scarypizza is allegedly true stories and creepypasta is more creative fiction style horror. Just a lil fun fact that I just made up
Chapstick817 lmao
''ScaryPizza''is sort of like "UnsettlingCalzones", except with UnsettlingCalzones you read the middle of the story first.
wtf was on that pizza?!?! did the boss go out n kill a homeless person himself to use as toppings? or maybe a dog or cat? wtf...
Dog, cat, shark or any of the fermented foods that are found in China.
doubt a manager from a pizza place has the connections to get human meat just like that, from the stench description they probably had something like fermented meat from china so no he didnt kill and cook it himself, what kind of meat tho? human would be too cliche and it would be weird for just a random pizzeria to have such connections, since its "illegal" imma guess maybe its dog or cat
Edmond666777 stinky tofu too
(Listening to Detroit story)
"Is it really Detroit?"
(Pauses video)
*Gunshots*
"Yeah sounds accurate"
I absolutely love his little kid voice
Security guard, lyft driver, or a delivery driver are a few jobs I'd definitely never do
Gotta love the eyeball, razor blade, nail and nametag pizza.
Your voice is so soothing 💕 i love these stories & they help me fall asleep !!
The only thing scary about pizza delivery is when they forget the breadsticks.
I CONCUR!!
And the dipping sauce!
And your drinks
Listening and realizing the Teddy Bear Picnic song is coming and laughing despite the sad story because the live reading of you figuring it was tff, lol
I really wanna know what was on that "durian" pizza... o~o
Could be fermented cow or pig liver. I was sure it was durian until he described looking at it.
@@joleenphillips2415 That's what I would think, but the detail about the boss doesn't make sense with that
Durian
That guy got payed straight dough,to diliver human flesh to a hooman eater, but hey.
I just took a look at the screen saver, that is so cool, I don't know how I missed it before. Great job!
Damn I remember Brian Wells, being on the news. So sad.
I remember the Brian Wells situation like it was yesterday. Its hard to believe it's 20 yrs ago, just about. It was horrific and sad.
*gets nervous about my delivery shift tomorrow*
Yup.
Goodluck. 😂
It is so freaky when I hear stories I already know about on this channel.
I saw the (censored) video of that delivery guy who got the bomb attached to him.
I don't even want to imagine his brutal fear.
USA: People die while delivering pizza
Also USA: "We're a developed nation!'
Nerobyrne: haha pretty much
@@Nerobyrne yeah except nearly all cities run by democrats look like dystopian nightmares whereas you'd be hard pressed to find a republican run city that looks and runs that way.
This video was uploaded right when I got my pizza. Kewl.
As soon as he said "8631 Peach st" I knew what he was talking about. BuzzFeed unsolved covered this case.
That last story has its own documentary on netflix
Jesus...i remember hearing about the bomb collar pizza guy in the news..that really did suck.
The Third person Erie, PA story reminded me of the Twilight Zone. Your voice would be a perfect remake of that series
“Like the Simpsons live on 742 Evergreen Terrace ,
I have that memorized fight me”
😂😂😂😂 Respect ✊
First story: “Well this pizza’s on the house!”
Nice Spongebob reference.
I actually felt bad for the burned guy that was playing the violin. I probably would have told him to keep his money and enjoy his pizza.
I would of followed my boss to see what it really was that wasn't that fruit.
This channel literally gets me through work ❤️
What was on that Pizza? hhhmmm...... Love You Joel!
It's 4 am & I can't sleep due tk having my gallbladder removed a few days ago . Thanks for the video. I replay your videos to help put me to sleep . Your voice is so relaxing 😴😪

DID YOU JUST SAY FWAIGWAINT?
I always love these stories so much! Just have to say though, it’s very awful that a person can’t even do their job! That you’d have to hurt a pizza delivery driver over 20 bucks! Wow!
Oh no and I just ordered pizza....
6:37 - 6:50
I think the dialogue right here is really good; it is dark, horrifying, introspective, and deeply-personal.
Funny how I have pizza for dinner
I've had my jaw wired shut for about three months because of a bullet. You don't want to have to heal from that.
Durian (jackfruit) can be used to make a meat substitute that looks like pulled pork... just sayin'.
But, brilliant work as always, Lets Read! Thanks for making pizza creepy XD
I want to think you're right, but considering the reaction when the manager was confronted makes me second guess that.
durian and jackfruit are two very different fruits though? but! youre right that jackfruit is a pulled pork substitute, it's used to make vegan bbq uou
Why would someone pay 600 for a jackfruit pizza?
The Durian Fruit that turned out to be mystery meat was human meat. It’s a shady business that some funeral parlors preform when there’s a closed casket funeral.
Yessss Lets Read, let's get it! There's something about horror stories that are fast food delivery themed that hit the spot dead on.
Idk why, but pizza/food delivery horror stories are my favorite
Same
If anyone is interested in learning more about the last story theres a documentary on it on Netflix called Evil Genius
that "durian" story is keeping me hanging🥴
Protip: it was not durian.
The last one is based on a true story. Search up the movie "30 minutes or less"
The last one is a true story. There’s a Netflix documentary about it called evil genius. I think it’s really tasteless that the tragic death of this guy was used as a basis of a shitty comedy movie. Like. Really tasteless.
"You know how it goes"
>proceeds to sing Teddy Bear Picnic completely wrong
