25 years ago I decided to retire in Cambodia and I have never regretted that decision. I live within 10 kms of Kampot and have everything I need. This is a special place and should be experienced first hand. A short video doesn't do it justice. I'm a 75 year old Brit.
@4:29 Actually, it is not a Buddhist statue. The statue is called “ Lok Yey Mao “ literally means “ Grandma Mao “ who is believed to be a coastal protector of Cambodia. That’s why this statue was built by facing to sea.
When you were eating at Espresso, you should have squeezed the lemon, into the pepper..then you dip your meat into it....We live in Kampot, a great little place 😊
Bokor mountain has such a strong eerie feel to it and im not even there in person. When u guys mentioned the temperature dropped as u have reached higher elevation, it just made it all the more eerie. Plus the abandoned hotels and misty atmosphere...😮😨
Whoa!!!!! Guys! I have been there! That place! I also entered the old church. It was quite eerie because we went there just before the sun set. It is a very good setting for some ghost stories.
About the abandon stuff you see only the stuff that only have the concrete left is classified as abandoned. the other is just abandoned only for a decade since it was a stupid investment by the rich hoping people would buy some resort house in the mountain .
Nosotros entramos en el Baka Hotel. Es precioso!!! Pero 400 $ la noche es de locos, no se quien puede querer dormir en un lugar tan aislado, que no tiene ni piscina (tiene dos pequeños jacuzzis fuera)

Its not a Buddha.
I know sorry about that oversight!
it’s not, but they just started building a large 108 meter buddha statue and monument on the mountain.
