Cebu is a gorgeous city situated in an island in central Philippines of the same name. NUSTAR is a major new casino waterfront resort that will certainly emerge as a major exotic entertainment hub. With its soft launch a little over a year ago, it has all the hallmarks of a fantastic poker destination.

Some updates.
Insurance is only brought up if the player asks for it. Only saw it happen once, and it saved him.
There is a bad beat jackpot now.
100k pesos for Aces over 10s or better cracked, both hole cards have to play.
It’s effectively a $1/$2 game, but plays more like a $2/$4 game.
Game died out around 3am.
Great room, great equipment, great staff.

WaterFront Hotel is where most of the poker action is in Cebu

Thanks for the Review !...Was there in January 2023 ... and i think they made you get a players card before playing anything in the casino .... So if your not a local you need your passport... Is that still the Rule ?
I got a membership card when first there, but never used it when registering for poker.
When are you gonna go to Playground, Montreal?
Next trip is back to Europe but Canada is on the list later in 2024 / early 25. Looking forward to it!
yeah I went there at about 5pm and there were only 2 tables of Chinese tourist players. drinks and food is expensive. kinda far from Cebu city centre. 45-1 hour on their free bus from the major malls in Cebu center that runs to incorrect schedules of what is shown on their website

No I think domestically it's unlimited. Strict limits removing from the country though.

I was there in late may 2023 and there was no poker room and asked if there would evidently be one and was told no Beautiful resort but things were only about 50% open and 99% Chinese
Ate at the buffet and it was fantastic but expensive, about 50 usd.
99% Chinese means fun poker 😂

It's definitely still running since I see it on my Facebook feed daily, but haven't been back properly.
Insurance sounds like a disaster. I saw Phil Hellmuth do this for 100k. Maybe they should put a minimum of say 500 dollars on Insurance.
