Miami is a cool kid school because it's in Miami. Baylor is a a cool kid school because they'll buy you strippers. It's that X factor.
@@JJ-zr6fu Absolutely. I'm sure if there was a way, legally, for Nike to give them a billion cash to win the BCS they would. Players know where they can get money, and good for them honestly.
But let’s be honest Oregon has been good a lot in the last 20 years. Honestly the pac 12 after dark was huge for Oregon recruiting. Kids all around the country were watching fast paced offense in flashy uniforms win by 30. And the 2 national championship appearances don’t hurt. Even though they lost it solidified them as a place you can go and maybe win a championship if Alabama and Ohio state didn’t recruit you hard enough
@@2299mikey Yes. Completely true. If Oregon hadn't become the PAC 12 team to beat they wouldn't be the recruiting machine they are. The flashy uniforms keep kids coming in off years, but the fact they are good is why we care about them in the first place. I just mean their recruiting doesn't suffer if they lose against Stanford or something. They have built an image that gets recruits regardless of results. They are cool.
Jesus Christ you act like every SEC team is bama, bama Georgia and this years Tennessee are better than Oregon, but they could beat all the other teams in the SEC
Woah be careful…SEC “fans” will throw a hissy fit if you say this. I mean not Bama or Georgia fans, they don’t care. But fans of the shitty SEC teams, they’ll get grumpy when you say this.

We're cool too right Josh?" No little Timmy, you won't ever be like the SEC. The culture is different in the South East. Some would even say "It just means more."
@@2299mikey not talking about recruits, talking about atmosphere and culture. Just shows how good the program is, just look what happened last year when we played Oregon.
Oregon has an unrealistic perception of how the country views them. They haven't won anything and desperately want to be relevant. There's a reason why B1G passed on them and coaches consistently leave to other programs.
Since the 70’s, there has only been two coaches that left Oregon for other college programs. Brooks left for the NFL in 93.. Highest ranking achieved by the end of the season was 12th ranked team in 1993. Belotti retired from coaching after Oregon, and has never coached since. Highest ranking was 2nd in 2001. They should’ve played in the BCS championship game that year, but the computers put 4th ranked Nebraska in to play against Miami for the championship game. Kelly left for the NFL to promote his offense. That was his dream from day one. Everyone knew this prior to promoting him to head coach. The highest final ranking was 2nd. Helfrich was fired. His highest final ranked team also finished 2nd. Taggert left after 1 season because he secretly talked with FSU to gain a larger salary. Also, the state of Florida is home, and it was his dream job. He didn’t achieve a ranked team in his 1 season. He was fired from FSU a few years later. Cristobal left to return and coach his Alma Mater, where he won a championship as a player. Again, not exactly leaving Oregon for a better program. What have they done since he’s played for Miami in the early 90’s? His top final ranked team for Oregon was 5th. Lanning is in his first year and already has Oregon ranked in the top 10 at 8th. Are you seeing a pattern? It doesn’t seem to matter who’ve they hired, Oregon has produced very good teams for the last 30+ years. I think they’ve only had 3 or 4 losing seasons since 1990. They have played 2 times for the national title, and should’ve been 3. They’ve had three different coaches finish #2 at the end of the season, with another in the top 5. Possibly 1 more by the end of this year. In the last 40 years, that is only 7 coaches total. You really want to stand by your comment?
The only thing keeping Oregon from being Georgia or Alabama is being stuck in the pac 12. They lose a ton of recruits because of that conference. 5* don’t want to go play in the pac 12 unless they’re from LA and want to stay home. The west coast 5* go to Ohio state or the top SEC teams. If Oregon was in the big 10 or sec they’d get more of those recruits
Anything that Oregon is, they can thank Mario Cristobal for making them into that. What were they before he got there? They had no identity. Much like Miami right now. They have no identity. Mario will build them into a strong program too. Dan Lanning is reaping the benefits of what Mario sewed 🧵
@@McChadwickable They we’re a finesse team. Any SEC team would mow them right over back then. Now they’re a power team. They can play with the big boys. Say it. Say thank u Mario. It’s not that hard.

💚💛🦆🦆
Oregon is a "Cool Kid" school. There are just programs that are cool and don't have to be good every year to get recruits. They have Nike right there which offsets the fact they are in Eugene. Miami is a cool kid school because it's in Miami. Baylor is a a cool kid school because they'll buy you strippers. It's that X factor.
Its even more true now since Nike basically said they will prioritize Oregon players for NIL.
There ain't nothing to do in Oregon. Oregon football is the only thing going on in that state
How well can Oregon beat SEC programs?
Jesus Christ you act like every SEC team is bama, bama Georgia and this years Tennessee are better than Oregon, but they could beat all the other teams in the SEC
They have a winning record against the SEC since 2000…They smoke SEC teams that aren’t at the top of the conference
@@seanobrien3380 that is right. Oregon would fit in with lower half of SEC teams.
@@richardnelson3227 lower half? Name 7 SEC programs better than Oregon.
@@richardnelson3227 lmao. Last time Oregon played a bottom half SEC team they won by 45
Florida did not represent a good fan base yesterday
Woah be careful…SEC “fans” will throw a hissy fit if you say this. I mean not Bama or Georgia fans, they don’t care. But fans of the shitty SEC teams, they’ll get grumpy when you say this.
Georgia tech is
🦆
Everyone has little brother energy compared to the SEC. They all wish they had the passion of the SEC which is why you get these sad Oregon fans tweet at Josh "but but but we have a loud stadium too. We're cool too right Josh?" No little Timmy, you won't ever be like the SEC. The culture is different in the South East. Some would even say "It just means more."
strong words from a mizzou fan
And yet Penn states whiteout beats all of those atmospheres
@@theread3480 you didnt have to do him like that bro
This sums it up
@@theread3480 lol that's funny. I can name 6 SEC stadiums with a better atmosphere any given Saturday than Penn State
Utah is built more like an SEC team than Oregon.
Nah Utah is where the kids who didn’t get an offer from Oregon go.
@@2299mikey not talking about recruits, talking about atmosphere and culture. Just shows how good the program is, just look what happened last year when we played Oregon.
@@samlesueur yes you beat one of the worst Oregon teams in a long time. Utah was fortunate to get to play against a cristobal coached team
You, as a supposed sports guru, know better. Oregon is nowhere near the level of the better teams in the SEC. Whatever it takes though to get viewers.
NOpe...laughable
Your one of the people josh is talking about
@@marzfn3430 DUCKS...lmao
Anything that Oregon is, they can thank Mario Cristobal for making them into that. What were they before he got there? They had no identity. Much like Miami right now. They have no identity. Mario will build them into a strong program too. Dan Lanning is reaping the benefits of what Mario sewed 🧵
They played in the national championship literally three years before he got there. Chill.
they were better before mario
@@McChadwickable They we’re a finesse team. Any SEC team would mow them right over back then. Now they’re a power team. They can play with the big boys. Say it. Say thank u Mario. It’s not that hard.
So stupid, so ignorant
Mario was actually lucky he played in the pac 12 and had a talent advantage over every other team in the conference Oregon made Mario not the other way around mario will fail at Miami
