A tip for all characters is when you go behind an enemy who doesn’t know you’re there, don’t attack yet and follow them, if they look behind and see you, then you can attack. If not, wait until they are vulnerable, depending on which character they are. For vanquishing peashooters and snipers, wait until Peashooter enters Gatling, and wait for the snipers to use the drone, then surprise attack them with a 1-Hit Move if you have one. This is the exact opposite of “easier said than done” and is more of an “easier done than said” but now I wonder if anyone will find this tip useful
Another tip. I don't recommend equipping rocket leap as an upgrade. Foot Soldier and every other character has the ability to sprint unlike GW1 and 2. So the added ability is actually is hindrance.

I know I'm late but I'm adding a extra tip because it's useful If their is nothing Zpg then use it for it's splash damage then finish them off with your Weapon If your playing Turf TakeOver Zpg the objective to get some free splash and maybe even some kills
Honor Phoenix Not off the top of my head, but I can have a look into it and maybe do a video on it 😊 I suggest perhaps using Peashooter, it a good character that’s very agile, and if you use the Pea Suped ability and just jump around like crazy it makes it very difficult for enemies to shoot you 😊
Useful battle tip: When there is a war at the front of the plant base get on a tree, I use the big one next to the Ferris wheel. When on use rocket jump to either, A. Throw a stink cloud towards the entrance on the inside of the base or B. Use the Rocket launcher to shoot it in.
Also when using zpg in close range try to suspect where the enemy is going wether left or right if they try to go right shoot your zpg they wont and canr dodge it

Tip:foot soldiers ZPG does splash damage it's for getting pesky plant behind but near a corner same with pea shooters splash damage
