    Yay, Elita is back. 👏 9:49 following the Q&A, Malaysia is NOT larger than Japan, and it doesn’t have a lot of islands, only around 800 while Indonesia has more than 17,000 islands. Indonesia is 5 times bigger than Japan, in fact the entire country of Japan is smaller than Sumatra, an island in Indonesia.
    14:37 Elephants and Buddhism go together? I guess most Africans are Buddhists then 😂

      That is what makes me confused why she chose malaysia when it is about the same size with japan while indonesia is still bigger than japan korea malaysia and UK COMBINED

      Buddha lived as an elephant and (like cows for Hindus), Buddhists regard elephants as sacred. Asia has its own species of elephant.

      @@cheman579 Comparatively, 800 islands does not seem like a large number. Brazil, for instance, has over 700 islands, and we're talking about a continental country not typically associated with the term 'archipelago' like Malaysia or Indonesia are.

      Indonesian could have felt like that cause your names are like meme, but in Korea many make English name to communicate with foreigners easier, and to make foreigners to memorize the name faster.

    Thai doesn't have dialek?

    • @stibtops
      @stibtops Місяць тому +3

      YES, Thailand also has dialects.
      Thailand can be separated roughly into 4 regions which are Northern, Southern, Northeastern, and Central.
      But mainly they are using the Central dialect to communicate in formal situations. The central dialect has become standard Thai these days.
      Additionally, some countries have many dialects or languages such as China, India, Philippines, and Indonesia.
      Thais are using their dialects and the main one is similar to the China situation that uses Mandarin as a standard language.
      But for others especially in the Philippines and India (as I understand) some people using their dialects or languages daily are not that expert in using the main ones which are Tagalog or Hindi. On the other hand, they are more comfortable speaking English to communicate instead.
      Please correct me if I am wrong. This is the opinion that I have heard and discussed with my friends who are lots of students from different countries studying in Australia.
