    Im not concerned about the loss but i am really concerned about the injuries and the injuries have caught up with this team it's really that simple i still believe they can win out the next 3 games but the offense is gunna have to be almost perfect and I still want to believe they can win the SB but i believe a little less and less after each injury you can say next man up but the talent drop off eventually becomes insurmountable the front 7 was already decimated now its the DBs dropping and we should absolutely be concerned Alim McNeill David Montgomery Carlton Davis Jr Khalil Dorsey are all done for the season its really sad because injuries could be what cost this team a SB because i still believe this is the best team in the NFL but the injuries are becoming insurmountable

      @bruceradz 12 годин тому +2

      Yes I agree, the injuries is sucking the life out of this team, especially on defense. It's really the reason why they lost. I don't want to sound defeated, but, there's a reason the starters are the starters, and playing the backups is out of necessity, not because of their talent, or lack of it. Next man up is the Mantra, but I've written off the Super Bowl now this year. The last regular season game against Minnesota should tell us alot. It's such a shame. My friend mentioned the crap surface at Ford Field, and I'm beginning to believe it. That fake turf is probably the same stuff they put in their Ford cars....

    • @NYCfrankie
      @NYCfrankie 11 годин тому +1

      @bruceradz I'd love to natural grass replace that turf but my biggest issue for next season is ben johnson I'm literally praying that he decides he has unfinished business and stays because we know what the offense is under him its the best in the league AG has been good but if takes a HC job fine but losing ben johnson would be bad hopefully there is some truth to rumor his wife and family don't want to leave Michigan and that has weight in his decision also give him raise if necessary this lions teams window is already beginning to close thats y I'm just devastated by these injuries every week since the Cardinals game someone has gone down it's unreal

      Montgomery was also one of the best pass blocking RBs in the league as well. Every game he would knock a defender on his back.

    There’s no way the NFL can add another game without at least 2 byes.
    McNeil is out 12 months, so most of next season on a big contract…that hurts.
    Better call up Suh.

    Iffy could have made a difference against Allen as a 3rd down LB or spy. We needed some speed. Pascal is too slow to play on the outside. WTF was AG's plan to stop Allen?

    • @Goldenboy48
      @Goldenboy48 10 годин тому

      When you lose over half your defense to injury, the game plan is to SURVIVE...ag has limitations of what he can gameplan because of the personnel at his disposal. And you can't run anything complicated when most of the guys just got to the team.

    I told myself at the begining of the year. The only thing that would stop the Lions from a Superbowl season was injuries. So sad, such a shame. A dream season to turn so ruthlessly against our boys. Im trying to stay positive. But they say the cream always rises to the top. Theres not much cream left. Too many key injuries is an understatement. Who kidnapped our defense? taking a page out of the movie Major League. " who the blank are these guys"

    Frustrating game as the LIons can play much better. Some great plays esp, flicker, hook & ladder, and pass to Dan Skipper.
    Troubling: INJURIES & I think Montgomery was going to pass 1000 again.
    OMG! The Defensive linemen spent more time jumping in the air than getting to the QB, falling for JV level pump fakes from a taller QB slowed down the pass rush and even caused McNeil to be injured. Just get to the QB! Could have just had BB hawk him, damn near every play.
    OMG! Where was the running game? I know the Receivers were dropping catchable balls & the O-line was getting beaten and holding more than they should, but why not rotate some more guys in? Using more backup Tight Ends in jumbo for Montgomery & Gibbs could have eased the O-line panic later in the game. At least create more quick pass outlets, (like the Bills did to you). Some of Goff's errant throws and holding the ball too long could have been prevented.
    OMG! Call the Time-out Earlier!
    WTF? If you're going to do an on-side kick to one side of the field, why not have some of the extra players quickly loop back to that side as well? Once they were beaten, nobody was there! You handed them 7 easy points in a 6 point game!.
    Hopeful they can lick their wounds and keep moving forward., but the injuries are crushing us this season. You can see it taking a toll on the team. Time for a new strategy. Still a great team and I'm sure they can over-come! Maybe need BB to be a Linebacker!
    NFL needs to let all the Practice Squad be used in December +

      @beez991 It's not about conditioning. These guys are being trained to smash. They are going at tackles and blocks too hard. It's pretty obvious, no one else has this many injuries on defense. It's not a coincidence.

    I don’t think the onside was ridiculous. The D was escorting Buffalo down the field. I was actually thinking they might want to keep doing onside kicks. Best case is we could hold them to a FG or possibly recover it. Worst case is the Bills score another TD and the Lions have more time on the clock.

    Get rid of the Astroturf and put in real sod. The game “slowing down” is bs, unless your not athletic. an exceptional athlete can play on turf or sod, same as wearing pads it does not impact great athletes. Vaki at at safety or RB??

      I have wondered the same thing. It is either the worst of luck or we are doing something wrong. I don’t think the lions have changed anything in their approach to the game from last year to this year, and we did not see many injuries last year. So I have decided to chalk it up to incredibly bad luck. The Curse Of Bobby Layne, ha?!?!

      I say it's obvious you're putting the cart before the horse, but maybe it makes more sense to say you're blowing the grenade before the ring pull. The future is uncertain, yet we put up more points per game than any other team in the league, and even a bad defense can hold good teams to under 32, or is it 33 now.

      Historically top offense that still has almost everyone. Still many playmakers on defense (Kerby, Branch, Jack Campbell, Reader) There is still hope and a chance. 30 years of watching here and it’s never been better. Win it all against all odds the Campbell GRIT way and everyone will change their tune. They lose, so what? Still have a shot at a dynasty and if we’ve watched through decade after decade til this point, let’s be real here…we’re still gonna watch going forward. GO LIONS
