this song is nostalgic for me, because we used to sing this at my church, and then one of our pastors left and we dont sing thi one anymore...brings back some good memories

Awesome job leading worship! This is how it should be done- eyes open, engaging the audience, singing a simple song in a key everyone can sing. Today's worship leaders have gotten too much into pride and showmanship.

It really depends on where in the world you are. I know worship leaders in the UK key songs to what they are comfortable singing, but in New Zealand we choose a key that is best for the congregation. It can be tricky, women and men sing at different keys.

I see I’m not the first to spot that the congregation was referred to as audience! Far too much modern so-called Christian songs seem to be sung to an audience; I’m happy to include the best worship music into a service but I remain convinced that the spectrum of styles must be kept wider than just Christian pop worship.
Type of song to hear everyday. Would like it to open a Sunday service.

That is Kristyn's daughter, right? A LOT like her mother! Beautiful singing and lady! I love her accent. It is deeper than her mom's...Well, maybe I am wrong! Then this video MUST be very old when Kristyn was younger. Google says their oldest daughter was born in 2011. Sorry. My mistake. I thought this was a fairly new video! Her accent has certainly mellowed a lot. Great singing, great group!

+joe harris I like this tune but have you ever asked yourself, "What if it isn't real"; ? Most of the Old Testament is fiction. The fact of evolution by natural selection says there was no Adam & Eve. There is no evidence for a global flood only localized flood events. No evidence for a significant population of Israelites in Egypt or an Exodus or conquest. The land that is now Israel was a vassal state = ruled over alternately by Egypt, Babylon, Assyria, the ancient Greeks- read about the Hellenization of the Jews. It could easily be that the Jews got the idea of hell from the Greeks. See 2 Peter 2v4 which uses Tartarus in the original Greek = a mythological dungeon in the mythological Hades. The Egyptians were practicing male circumcision long before the Jews; so how could it have been a mark to make them different ? The authors of the Bible were superstitious and pre-scientific, they were making wild guesses about the World about us, just making stuff up.

If you think that Jesus was about the search for truth and reality and stood opposed to religious nonsense then you would need to assume that he would allow himself to be led into all truth as new evidence became available.
There are still great mysteries about how life on Earth originated and how it became so incredibly complex.
There are many creation myths. Each religion took it's own guess at how life on Earth came to be. However the basic themes of evolution - that all creatures are descended from one original ancestor organism, that it happened over millions of years, that it occurred due to changes in genetic information - are beyond reasonable doubt. People might wonder if it was really possible that natural selection could have been the sole driver / shaper. You might wonder if the process needed a helping hand from some supernatural realm. However it is clear that there was no instantaneous magical creation event within the time that it takes the Earth to revolve on its axis 7 times. Fossils ? Fossil fuels ?
Come on. Even Genesis chapter 1 and Genesis chapter 2 accounts are at odds with each other.
There is no mystery to me how life on earth originated. We had to be created, and we had to be created instantaneously. There is no living organism on the fact of the earth that could have existed even one day without the "complete package" in place from day one. Our bodies have 60,000 miles of blood vessels in them, and there is no way we would have survived unless all 60,000 miles of them were in place from the beginning. Ditto the heart, brain, kidneys, stomach, internal intestines, etc. I'm involved in building, and I can see design as well as any nuclear physicist, and these bodies were designed and built by a master Contractor, no doubt about that in my mind. When the Bible talks about hell it is only referring to the grave or a place where the dead bodies are, the final destruction is the Lake of Fire, that is what you are facing in the second death.
