Natural Gas Flares are equipment used in energy production to eliminate natural gas and harmful volatile organic compounds, called VOCs.
In this video, we discuss why energy producers need to remove these VOCs from natural gas and how flares work, including the knockout drum, flare header, safety equipment like the flame arrestor, flashback preventer and liquid seal.

Instead of flaring it which affects the zone layer, they should do gas absorption where the mass transfer takes place between the gas solute and the liquid

Flame arresters, and flashback preventers. I wonder how many people died before those were developed... from my experience, no safety measure is innovated until something happens and people die. I wonder why we can't envision safety measures before people die. Take the helmet for example an obvious solution to prevent head injury but generations of people died before it was invented. Just thinking out loud... Great video by the way! 🛢️
