How do I fix the problem with circular labels which doesn't cover the peel sensor and therefore it already thinks I removed the label even though I did not. Printing multiple labels in row will end up labels being printed and peeled without taking them off the printer.

Damn, perfect function, perfect output but just too slow for our peel n present needs, is there a faster version?
We serialise products as per Amazons seller Transparency program (unique datamatrix labels per product) but the staff member applying the labels needs it to be more or less as long as it takes to grab the label, apply it to the product and move on.

      There's a 7500 that's roughly 12in/sec, about 2.5x speed of the above?
If you don't need colour, though, you could get away with a thermal printer at a fraction of the cost.

@@gocanux15 Hi there, thanks for your reply, yes we have a Zebra ZT-230 with peel and rewind which we got refurbed and it has been fantastic, I just wanted to move up to colour for a premium feel on our products. So far we have not found that peel function on a colour label printer with low print costs. I am really surprised Epson didn't seek a higher speed output on this unit given what must be common usage of a peel unit. It is almost less important to print fast on to a reel as that is a walk away and come back task. The ZT-230 which is 6 inch per second is plenty adequate for us in terms of speed and when you consider the epson above is rated 5" per second it would be adequate too but just watching the video I can say it achieves nothing close to that in practice. The zebra achieves the print speed irrespective of what is being transferred where as it seems the epson rating must be based on it printing a dot somewhere and then feeding on! Oh and that clever idea of putting the waste to flow into the trash can is great although I think the demonstrator has not experienced seeing just how quickly a trash can can fill with that waste when dropped unceremoniously in, the ZT-230 winds the waste back on to a coreless coil and gives a waste item the size of a drinking mug when it runs out, much better!

Incidentally we use Epson Ecotank printers for printing our packing slips which print automatically as and when orders are channelled through and they have been very good too, the eco tank system saves us a decent amount compared to when we used to use toners, even though we used re-manufactured and we have no waste and colour slips so I am not against the inkjet technology, it just needs to be fast for this kind of application.

@@davidglover1854 thanks for your notes and comments. Best way to confirm speed of the Epson C6000P is to send us some artwork and a specific label size. There are many settings regarding print quality that affect speed greatly. During Pete's video we were just demonstrating and educating people about the availability of the technology and discuss possible uses. Regarding the waste liner, we will be doing a follow up video of peel n present using our Unwind/Rewind system which takes ups the used liner much more effectively than filling up a trash can.
