Whenever I watch old vids like this... I'm so glad they've learned and changed over time. Back then they were still very ignorant about a lot of of things and had never looked outside their Korean upbringing, so they had a lot of prejudices e.g. colorism and low-level misogyny. I'm proud of how far they've come, and how they've been able to admit wrongdoing, apologize and genuinely open their minds and change for the better. If you're a new fan it's important to understand just how normalized and unquestioned these attitudes can be in a homogenous and traditional society like SK (as in it wouldn't even occur to you there could be anything wrong about it). Things have changed a lot even just in the last few years - don't forget BTS are the first group to *ever* really break through in the west, and that cultural exchange has been a learning experience in both directions!
