I remember watching CLANNAD for the first time during my worst depression I’ve ever had. I still remember it being 2:00 am and when Nagisa died, I cried so hard I almost threw up. However the next day I cried even harder during the flower field scene. I have a very hard time forming relations with people and even when I was at family members funerals, I felt nothing. However, a fictional story managed to make me feel things I have never truly felt before, I still feel defective because I form better relations with fictional characters than my own family. Even if I still feel defective as a human, this series helped me get through everything. I’d still die for a proper Tomoyo After adaptation.
Clannad (Irish pronunciation: [ˈkl̪ˠan̪ˠəd̪ˠ]) is an Irish band formed in 1970 in Gweedore, County Donegal by siblings Ciarán, Pól, and Moya Brennan and their twin uncles Noel and Pádraig Duggan. They have adopted various musical styles throughout their history, including folk, folk rock, traditional Irish, Celtic and new-age music, often incorporating elements of smooth jazz and Gregorian chant.
The most perfect and life changing experiences I've ever had with a piece of work. It taught me so much and honestly I can't thank Maeda sensei enough for it. It's been 7 years since my journey with it and I genuinely wish to experience it again blind with all my life. I can't stress how perfect Clannad is, especially afterstory it's just absolutely perfect I legit don't have any other words in my vocabulary to describe it. Key in general has phenomenal works such as Little Busters, summer pockets (which is most closest to Clannad) etc but none of them came close to what Clannad was. Once again Maeda Jun created a phenomenal masterpiece that I will treasure forever.
Clannad is so special to me that I brought a Nagisa Furukawa figurine, 4 keychains, a canvas print, 2 mugs, and the entire manga in Japanese!! 🥰💗 This show is seriously that good!! ❤❤ Also I forgot to mention that I even brought the visual novel and the side stories specifically for my nintendo switch. 🥰❤

I've been meaning to play the visual novel for a while now (I do own it) but to comment on the anime it is easily the most relatable and emotion inducing piece of media ever to me. From the almost ethereal feeling and beautiful soundtrack to the simple but amazingly executed story and characters, Clannad hits every note for me. Tomoya is one of if not the most relatable characters ever to me with his general attitude and gripes about life combined with his worrys when leaving school and seeing everyone around him move on in life while he has no idea what to do. Also Clannad makes me ugly cry which is way more than what any other tear jerkers do for me.
@@Totaraum Oh definitely plan on getting to it soon. I started it around the time I bought it for my birthday a couple years ago but I got distracted by other stuff at the time.
