5 years later, this is still one of the best Tomorrowland sets ever. Everyone is enjoying themselves, dancing and smiling, clearly enjoying the music being played. Versus today, where people go so they can say they went to "XYZ" festival, and are standing around recording the visuals. IMO raving has always been about the music, with lights (strobes and lasers) as a secondary layer--NOT the visuals (ahem Afterlife). I hope techno goes back in this direction one day.

Tommorowland is magic once you leave the main stage, its like a city, they have about 19 stages and other than the main, most of the others are pure music.

Just based on the uploads to Tomorrowland's youtube channel - there seems to be heaps more cringey EDM compared to real dance music at this festival? Love the stage design and atmosphere - but i'm really surprised by the choice of DJs they choose to upload to the channel. Not sure about the rest of you but I can't stand some of it. Good set Pan-Pot!
its just their audience is different thats all. i personaly would never go to tomorrowland because of that but still they sell all their tickets so i guess people like that. maybe next year if they have more techno i will join the party :)))
there are at least 2 stages techno only per day, on somedays even 4
Nah man there's plenty of stuff for everyone ,they just record couple stages though so you don't get to hear from all 17 stages at the festival.
fyi EDM is an umbrella term. Why? because it is in the name: Electronic Dance music. Is techno electronic? Yes. Do you dance to it? Yes. Is it music? Yes. That means it is EDM. EDM is not a genre. Call it mainstream or something idk...
