Alitalia flights always arrive before schedule because pilots tend to load more fuel then necessary to cruise at faster speeds, it was supposed to be a protest but that has actually become one of alitalias good aspects. Just to let you know :)

Alitalia offered other services on board, but now it is on the verge of bankruptcy and many things have been reduced, I believe that Alitalia is one of the best European companies but obviously it still has a lot to improve, maybe if it manages to recover from this crisis economic we will see it shine as it has always been.

My experience with Alitalia was exactly the opposite. I found the hard product to be awful (there was just no legroom at all) but the crew were incredibly nice.
It depends on the seat row you are seated actually. Maybe you were seated in the aft section of the cabin, which has a lower seat pitch.

Fred Watson Thanks for your comment. Actually I preferred to travel the cheapest way, as I was not in a hurry. Also, if you travel from Eastern London, you need to change to Circle/Metropolitan which are quite slow. Bakerloo should be faster, but anyway, you need to change at Embankment if you come from the District. As I had heavy suitcases, I preferred to change at a station without stairs. Barons Court or Hammersmith are actually my preferred connecting stations.
Niki Svaizer Yes but that Piccadilly line is slow. Stops at every little station en route dragging out the journey time. I'm flying to Rome next month with AI in economy with my family. Pleased to see AI are still one of the few European airlines to offer some food on their European flights.

Most Italian aircraft are not registered in Italy, but in Ireland

@@NikiSvaizer Well done for your videos. Iv been to Malpensa last Saturday going back to Malta after a week in Northern Italy. It was very busy due to Linate's closure. L' Italia ha un paesaggio bellissimo.
Because taxes in Ireland are much cheaper and main lessors are based in Ireland.

Crap Alitalia....lost my bag and delayed my arrival in Buenos Aires by nearly 3 days...flying crap should have been closed down?
am1966ath Sorry to hear that, I've never had bad experiences with Alitala in the past. I think there are other airlines performing worse than Alitalia. I've lost my bag only twice with other European airlines due to delayed arrival plus very short connection, but it has been delivered within 24h.
