  • Starting off our trip to Boston with a quick stop at the Vermont Country Deli in Brattleboro. They have some of the best sandwiches and pastries with lots of gluten free options too! The chocolate bomb (gf) was so good!
Getting to Boston was uneventful just a long drive (3hrs).
We chose to stay in the Kenmore area because it was only a short away from the House of Blues. The hotel was great and they even upgraded us to a suite! Thanks Hotel Commonwealth!
The Silversun Pickups were amazing as always. This was our 3rd time seeing them and they put on a great show.
The next day we did some shopping along Newbury Street and stopping by the Pucker Gallery. There was so much to see there I need to plan a trip just around shopping on Newbury.
Bernard at the Pucker Gallery was wonderful. Check the my short tour I did showing some of their huge pottery collection. I will be doing a longer visit to the Pucker in the future so stay tuned!
We ended our Boston Trip with a visit to the MFA to see the Hallyu exhibition and of course to visit their permanent collection of ceramics. I have been coming to the Boston MFA since I was in 3rd grade and I need to come back and film more of their renown pottery collection. Something for a future video!
There really is no place like Vermont for me and I always love coming home no matter how short of a trip away.
The L&L Plug-N-Fire kiln arrived along with a box of speedball.
We released the Ruffled Square Rim Templates along with my 7” & 12” Wildflower rolling pin. You can see how I used them in this live at 5 broadcast on ClayShare.
Yay! My 50+ year old L&L Econo kiln still works! I’ll be setting this kiln up to be my Raku kiln and the only thing we need to do is to build a pulley system for it which we will do next week.
Speedball Underglaze Unboxing! I can’t wait to try these new colors out but before I put them on any pots I have to do some test tiles or a test plate.
I planned on attaching a kiln vent to the Plug-N-Fire kiln but after chatting with L&L they told me because the kiln is so small that the vent would overpower it.
So no vent for this new kiln.
Thanks everyone for joining me this week in and out of the pottery studio!
