Great video. I'm trying to figure out how to draw my 2500kg caravan into my driveway drawbar first. I've got a 12,000lb 4WD winch which I'm thinking of bolting to the driveway & power by a stand alone car battery. Do you think that is feasible?
Sorry, but we won't be able to determine the feasibility of the set-up you described, as the 12,000 lb. 4WD winch you mentioned is not a SA or TW-series winch manufactured by us.
Thanks for your question, Anthony! On the TW4000, the wiring harness is 12 gauge wire. On the TW9000 and all of our StrongArm DC winches, the wire is 8 gauge. Finally, this video is all about DC electric winches, but just in case you're curious- the wiring harness for our StrongArm AC winches is 18 gauge wire.
@3:54 You know they make a crimp tool for Anderson Power Poles.

what gauge wire do you run to the vehicle battery?
