Hi! If I get the first cage is it still enough room if I take it to play? I am planning on taking him/her out everyday for a couple hours. Thanks great vid!!
the first cage is good if you have 1 budgie and the cage is open at least 20 hours per day if not all the time, it's good if he goes in and out whenever your budgie wants. for two hours per day it means your budgie is gonna spend most of the time in the cage. I would recommend you going for the 1-2 Budgies Cage. your budgie will be happier, don't forget the cage is basically his home. he needs to feel safe there, and mostly he will spend most of his time in there. Plus the first cage won't have room for toys and stuff, if you are planning to let him out couple of hours per day, that means he's gonna spend the other time in his cage with toys and stuff. So the cage would be crowded. unless it is open all the time and he can go to his cage to eat and play and go out whenever he wants.

Why didn't you talk which is better a horizontaly or verticaly shaped bar cage? I used to have budgies 30 years ago and the cage was in comparison to your video horizontaly bared.
In your video you mention that a 30x18x18 cage is good for 2-5 budgies. I am looking for a flight cage that will house 6-8 young birds from weaning till a year old when they may move on to breeding pairs?
Im sure I have a large space for my budgie I will b e buying new toys for her also because I'm going to start taming her cage has more space than 45 x 45 x 45 and I also have have a flight cage
I really want a Bird, but My parents don't want because of dogs, space and noise, im thinking of having the cage in My room, is that a good idea? I have My parents bedroom next to My room but besides that i don't see a other good place, is there a Cage that would fit in my bedside table? Or it is a Bad idea to have it there? I'm Open to all suggestions :)
A single bite from a big macaw can kill a budgie try not to let a budgie with anything bigger than a cockatiel (that also if the birds get along) although it depends on how friendly the bird is a hyacinth can break a coconut with it's break.
As the other person said one bite from a macaw can kill a budgie so I'd try not let them EVER meet as if they would it would be ww3 and the budgies will 100% die
if you let them out of the cage and fly , plus there are no breeding pairs and they all go along, then 18x18x32 inch cage would do they job. however if any of the above is not true , then I would suggest you go with a bigger cage than that, a cage you could afford and have a place for it :)
Budgie World my sister who owns them usually plays with them for a much of the day as for breeding pairs we do not know the genders would 30x18x18 be ok
yes, it would this is the absolute minimum though, some would say this is for 2 budgies, but with my experience and visiting other people that own budgies, this would be good for 4 budgies. specially if you play with them and they go out :)
Personally, if I am looking for a bird cage, I look for one with horizontal bars. I am rather shocked by the number of bird cages in this video with vertical bars. Of course they can still grip vertical bars, it’s just more difficult considering they continue to slide down the entire time they are on the bar.
I was wondering if a cage could be 60x36,5x69 cm for one budgie ? I want to do my best for my hopefully new friend it would spend as much time outside of the cage as possible but I am in school so every time I get home it would get to go out
Budgie World no exactly I want it to room and toys enough and then switch them out regularly so the bird isn’t bored with the same toy all the time. I’m also planning on getting an “outdoor” playground for the bird. I was wondering about food and stuff how many times does a budgie need food and how often do they need fruit and vegetables and how often can they get candy without getting too fat ? I’m really trying to do my research before getting one as it’s a huge commitment but I can’t find exact answers
@@camillakirkmand1977 these are all wonderful questions, and VERY important ones as well. @@BudgieWorld oh dear, my dad won't be happy after i tell him, we have a old cage in our house and we decided to sand it down and use it for budgies but i guess we'll have to get a bigger bird
How did you start loving budgies?
My budgies are not hand tamed. Should I let them out? I did once and it was a disaster. Any suggestions?
Can I remove a cage divider?
Why didn't you talk which is better a horizontaly or verticaly shaped bar cage? I used to have budgies 30 years ago and the cage was in comparison to your video horizontaly bared.
Question: what if your house has a lot of windows everywhere and almost no areas without windows? Where would you put the cage?
Put it out of the reach of sunlight.
Okay, thank you very much!
Is an 18x18 inch cage a good for 4 budgies but they are let out for as long as possible
Biggest cage you can afford better to go big then having buy another cage. I would suggest getting a smaller cages for vet visits.
In your video you mention that a 30x18x18 cage is good for 2-5 budgies. I am looking for a flight cage that will house 6-8 young birds from weaning till a year old when they may move on to breeding pairs?
This should help you out for the exact cage size you need -> ua-cam.com/video/n_GOITw8Rbo/v-deo.html
Im sure I have a large space for my budgie I will b e buying new toys for her also because I'm going to start taming her cage has more space than 45 x 45 x 45 and I also have have a flight cage
What do you think is a good size for 2 birds
I mention that in the video at 2:38 :)
You whant big cage for 2 budgies
I really want a Bird, but My parents don't want because of dogs, space and noise, im thinking of having the cage in My room, is that a good idea? I have My parents bedroom next to My room but besides that i don't see a other good place, is there a Cage that would fit in my bedside table? Or it is a Bad idea to have it there? I'm Open to all suggestions :)
So what's a good size for two birds?
Hello friend where can I buy this cage for my budgie you are showing on 6.20
I can only find the black and white versions but I need the stainless steel my budgie will remove the paint
My brother got 2 budgies, can budgies and a macaw get along since I am planning on raising a hyacinth macaw, military or green winged
Australia? I live there
What is a good size for 4 budgies with toys food and all that
if you let them out of the cage and fly , plus there are no breeding pairs and they all go along, then 18x18x32 inch cage would do they job.
however if any of the above is not true , then I would suggest you go with a bigger cage than that, a cage you could afford and have a place for it :)
Budgie World thx I’ll be getting the cage ASAP
Would be nice to have a few suggestions of brands
Is a 74cm tall 48x48cm cage ok? I let my girl around 4-5 hours a day
0:55 I can hear a baby bird just like mine!
My cage net size Is a bit small is it ok
Can I put a parakeet inside a cage with a size is 18*12*36 inches?
20 by 20 by 20 is the minimum
How many budgies can fit in a 87cm×70cm× 46'5cm?
here's the formula => ua-cam.com/video/n_GOITw8Rbo/v-deo.html
Is 75cm long and 45cm tall good for a cage and breeding?
yes, it should contain just the pair of budgies you are breeding, sounds very good for a budgie pair :)
Budgie World but it has a cage divider in the middle.. can you remove the cage divider?
@@charlixee yes you can, I think all cages that I have seen with a cage divider, it was easily removable
I- i was about to get the prevune hydrax flight cage what measures 36by 21by 60 for one budgie😓😂
Well, technically no cage is too big XD
How many feet should I have?
Yes
Personally, if I am looking for a bird cage, I look for one with horizontal bars. I am rather shocked by the number of bird cages in this video with vertical bars. Of course they can still grip vertical bars, it’s just more difficult considering they continue to slide down the entire time they are on the bar.
I was wondering if a cage could be 60x36,5x69 cm for one budgie ? I want to do my best for my hopefully new friend it would spend as much time outside of the cage as possible but I am in school so every time I get home it would get to go out
yes this is good enough for 1 budgie, however you don't want your budgie getting bored if you aren't around enough
I get a lot of these questions and that's why I am making a whole series about budgie diet and nutrition.
it might take a while to cover most of their diet, but I am committed and we will cover everything eventually. :)
Budgie World thank you!
What is the dimentions of the cage in the video
I have a cage that is about 3ish feet tall, I have only had birds for about 3 days now, and I have 4 one is almost hand tamed, he will get on my hand and let me move him around, he will also come to me
What if you have 4 budgies in one cage and they fight? Do I need to buy another cage or buy one different cage for all 4 of them? (I am a first time owner).
Males usually better together since females tend to fight opposite of betta fish 😄
I have one budgie sooo
Which cage is best for 10-15 parakeets?
You can get multiple flight cages for each of the birds
it is acctually best to go for a horizontal bar only, since budgies love to climb
I put aligater clips on the doors
Helpful
I have purchased an indoor aviary for my eight birds because I can't give them much time out of the cage.
Cost?
How big of a cage would I need for 12 parakeets?
A whole aviary
@@MsKalyda What about 10?
