Some notes! Leads attaching to boats are new in Java for 1.21. The dogs in boats you saw were me wanting to play around with that. The new dog variants still teleport, and I was well aware of it. 😄 When it came to collecting all the variants, I had to fly far, so it was just easier to collect them all afterwards than babysit their teleportation the whole time. You can see them teleporting at the end of the clip. 😊 Only making this reply due to the large amount of people commenting about it :D
Thank you for the clarification Pearl! I have to admit, I was thinking “there’s no way she doesn’t know dogs teleport, why doesn’t she just fly them home?” I’m glad you had a very logical reason! It’s because you’re Australian, most Hermits have upside down logic for most things (such as Scar’s consistent dolphin murder), but since you’re Australian, your logic is right side up!
Is it possible that Aussie Ping makes lead mechanics super difficult? I haven't dug into the code, but I'm assuming leads break if the movement is too jerky, and if player position only updates every [Aussie Ping Time], I'm guessing it's a lot harder to make that "smooth."

"Yoink" is slang for "to take something" "Plonk" is slang for "to put something down" "Yeet" is slang for "to forcefully throw something" Consider the context of the scene before answering.
Everyone else: going into trials with full netherite gear, fully prepared for combat. Tango and Etho: Just diamond boots, leggings, and helmet, good enough!
I'm nowhere near good enough at PvE to pull it off myself, but going full dungeon crawler / "roguelite," entering completely nekked, using only the weapons and armor you get as loot, and gradually working your way up to being able to take on the ominous trials, sounds _super rewarding._

Lots of 50-60 minute videos for 1.21. Grian, Skizz, Doc (but that’s not a surprise), Etho (also not a surprise), Gem, and now Pearl. And that’s just from the hermits that I watch.
Season Finale idea: all 27 Hermits take on a Level 5 Ominous Vault simultaneously. If it crashes the server, that's the end. If it doesn't, the level of fungal spore exposure from all those bogged causes a Highlander-style Mace death match.

With the new pig in a boat flying feature if they do Secret Santa for Christmas someone could be Santa (the person on the pig in the boat) and the person flying could be Rudolph.

Can you imagine the chaos if you managed to fit the whole (or most of) server into a single Trial Chamber? Honestly the Hermits might be more a danger to each other than the extra mobs.
About the mace enchantments: Sharpness can't be applied, though Smite and BoA can. Also, they are incompatoble with Density and Breach, which themselves are incompatible with each other. Density increases the damage the mace deals as a result of an attack per block you fall. Probably the best enchantment for damage in terms of general usage. Breach reduces the effectiveness of armor, making it more useful against armored entities such as players, shulkers, armadillos, and the ominous spawner mobs. It doesn't apply to the effects of enchantments such as protection, but at lower heights it can be more effective than Density. Wind Burst makes you fly in the air after a successful hit. It is useful for combos since it guarantees you'll be able to get another hit if you still have targets (because of the mace's slow attack speed). Fall damage can be significant so caution is advised if you don't use an elytra. Fun fact: breaking blocks with the mace is faster, even for blocks that don't have a default tool.

While building is cool because after all this is a sandbox building game... but i gotta say the BEST episodes have zero building and 100% friends goofing around having tons of fun, those are the episodes that make my face hurt for 3 days from smiling and laughing so much!
Tbf Minecraft is a sandbox game (not just sandbox building- you can do whatever you want) and last I checked there’s quite a lot of just hanging out/playing with friends in irl sandboxes. I’m just saying it’s fun to see people interact and mc is a great way to do that :)
Pearl is now the bread lady. The thing with trial chambers is with the loot they give, these things will be super fun to watch at the start of a new season as groups of hermits scramble for a chamber to get all the loot they can to get going. Will be fun to see.
In Rens video he seems to have figured out the trick... you gotta slow down a lot so the rocket doesnt bring you above a certain speed, there also seems to be some angle issue so you need to fly as flat towards the horizon as possible.

Easiest way to get wolves to look at you is to hold a piece of meat. Spiders are terrified of Armadillos, so you might be able to do something fun with that. It must have taken some real restraint to not complement Etho's roof. Definitely looks like the Trial Chambers were made for groups. Glad you had fun with Etho and Tango.
Here's a challange: Two flying Hermits each with a boat an a lead. In one of the boat is another Hermit. Mid air the boat Hermit has to jump out the boat and enter the second empty boat. Should be pretty hard but surely fun to try.

Make an open arena, possibly with little water column arrow refill points for the shooters (inside rings you have to fly through) All above one block of water (with two launch points) to protect from fall damage. Inside each boat is a pig, for the turret operator, and a dog - they call them dogfights for a reason. If you hit the dog you’re immediately disqualified, and have to return to your launch point to heal him up
I tried that with my new dogs and i found that the best place to take off from the floor is on ice. You need to already give it a little motion and while it is sliding, you take off and its workihg soo well!! :D
Game idea for flying boats. A quidditch like arena with target blocks behind the rings and the person in the boat has to shoot at the target. Depending on how many people want to play other boated hermits can defend their rings

The builds and terraforming are magnificent, the branching out into redstoning is brilliant, but my favourite part of a Pearly Pop video is the Hermit interactions! And we get nearly an entire episode of them! 🥰

So long as the chunk is loaded, your dog can teleport back to you... If you teamed up with a friend, you could keep it in a boat, fly home, and then have the other player break the boat to teleport the dog back to you (in theory at least).
Yep, that's right! However, that requires a player to be available and willing to go to every dog location to do that for me. The method I did wasn't that bad time wise.
This was awesome, lot's of action! These trial chambers are a great way to see people do some pvp, but I can also imagine watching people go through trial chambers getting old quite quickly. It's not exactly Tango's Decked Out for reference. The new dogs however are super cute ♥
I hope the Trial Chambers aren't something Mojang abandons after its introduction. As fun as they are, after you collect the couple new, rather cool items there's not much incentive to come back. They've created a really solid minigame, and there's plenty of ways to keep it relevant to players long-term. Ex: They could swap the color pallet, as well as the loot table and mobs to showcase new updates, and big events. Present a constantly changing, and fun grind for late game.

I could watch hours of them together doing the trial chambers! Love this group!!
it's really nice seeing the hermits enjoying the trial chambers and stuff, especially with how i don't really do the whole survival thing it's been nice to experience them vicariously through the server!

So long as the chunk is loaded, your dog can teleport back to you... If you teamed up with a friend, you could keep it in a boat, fly home, and then have the other player break the boat to teleport the dog back to you (in theory at least).

However, that requires a player to be available and willing to go to every dog location to do that for me. The method I did wasn't that bad time wise.

This was awesome, lot's of action! These trial chambers are a great way to see people do some pvp, but I can also imagine watching people go through trial chambers getting old quite quickly. It's not exactly Tango's Decked Out for reference. The new dogs however are super cute ♥
This was an incredibly fun episode! I wish I had friends to play minecraft with, I'd love to also get my share of these shenanigans...
I hope the Trial Chambers aren't something Mojang abandons after its introduction. As fun as they are, after you collect the couple new, rather cool items there's not much incentive to come back. They've created a really solid minigame, and there's plenty of ways to keep it relevant to players long-term.
Ex: They could swap the color pallet, as well as the loot table and mobs to showcase new updates, and big events. Present a constantly changing, and fun grind for late game.
