Thank you for the time you put in this video :D I think there are a few misplays, though. 1. You could have triggered Taram's passive at 16:59 when using Divine Grace on the Barbarian. 2. Also at 37:34 and 50:11 ; I think you cannot kill a target with residual damages. The orc and the boss would have a remaining 1HP. 3. At 41:34 the Hunter makes a forbidden attack as you cannot attack orcs from 3 spaces or more; you also applied the passive which you could not (you remembered at the end, though :D yeah I can understand the games can be long). Again, thank you for the tutorial, it is really helpful!
@@Dra9onsfight I was wrong. Back then I thought that the Ambush effects (see 33:00) were cumulative. They are not and end after each ambush (boardgamegeek.com/thread/2321973/article/33483466).
Nice demo! I love and have this game, yet have not played it! I have no real gamer friends that would have the attention span to play something like this. LOL! I would use a dice pad for better die rolls...
I've only played it solo (for the video), lol. My play group already has too many campaign/dungeon crawl games going on and adding another epic game just hasn't fit in yet ... but I do like how simple the game is to play, after setting up. :)
Great video. Going to share it with my group as well. Question about the cleric's ability Hope. It says 'within range', is that within range of the cleric or within range of the target? Thanks!
Hi Dale, another great video. I always enjoy the snappy pace and editing of your playthroughs. I was wondering if you're backing the new kickstarter and Tenares expansion for this game?
Thanks for watching, and much appreciated! I no longer have that game. I have a lot of dungeon crawler type games, and while it had a lot going for it, I needed to make room in my collection ... so sold it to one of the gamers in my group. :) How have you enjoyed the game?
@@DaletheCasualGamer I was looking to back Bloodstone but learned about this game while watching reviews and playthroughs. This seemed more bang for my buck so I late-pledged it. Thanks again!
Good eye! Yes, that is the Elder Dragon ... painted exclusively with contrast paints (I'm getting to be a lazy painter when I do take the time to paint). :)

@@DaletheCasualGamer So how do I go about getting a good view of your paint job? My dragon will be arriving in a week, bought a full pledge including the dragon...
just curious , you mentioned in another comment that you got rid of this game to make room in your collection..... which games did you keep that you liked better than this one?
@Stephen Poulin For Dungeon Crawling/Role Playing type games, Shadows of Brimstone is my go to, and the same for my play group. So this game just wasn't going to get any playtime. For games with this much table presence and campaign systems its hard to have more than 1 or 2 in this genre for me. And with that said, I have several of these types of games kickstarted. lol Thanks for watching! :)
@Die Nische It was the "introductory" scenario, and I haven't had the chance to play the competitive mode (but I typically don't play 1v1 or 2v2 games), so I can't really comment further on the game. I did enjoy Sword & Sorcery the one time I played it, and haven't played Machina Arcana ... but it did look fun from a preview I saw. Thanks for watching!
@@DaletheCasualGamer True, but the gameplay itself does not convince me and in its core core it surely will stay the same (Monster AI, combat mechanics). I really wonder why this game receives such a good rating in BGG according to this gameplay. :/
@Die Nische My favorite "dungeon crawl" is Shadows of Brimstone, which I almost didn't get into because you have to glue together the miniatures ... but I am so glad I got into this game! The only problem now is that I have all the expansions, which it a ton of content. :) Happy Gaming!
Actually i sold Sword & Sorcery but i am keeping Arena. This game has very easy combat system and its one of the strong points of the game. On S & S i felt the combat system was unneccessary complicated. Although i feel like this game is PVP. PVE story system works but its still basically PVP.
Checking in to learn and cover this game :) Thnks for taking the time to make it!
I appreciate you stopping by and commenting! I enjoy your videos and recording style. Good luck with the game and look forward to your ARENA video. :)

You are correct on all accounts! Thanks for the clarifications, and happy gaming!!
sorry to ask that, but why at 41:34, the Hunter could not attack the ork? I am learning the game actually... So i want to understand everything.

Just saw Tanaras Adventure should be arriving in LA on the 16th. So excited to get this game!!
@Trent Dougan Have fun!! :)
Subscribed. Awesome video helped a lot.
Thanks for the subscription, and glad the video helped! Good luck in your games!
Jade from Arena The Contest is a stretch goal hero in Dungeons of Infinity!! Hahah.
Cool! :)
Very clear! I have a review copy coming this week, so glad I found this video. Clarified lots
Thanks, and good luck with your review! It's a big game, so bite it off in portions. :)
Thanks for covering the game!!

It’s one of many games I wish I had time to play more. :)
Hope you enjoy!
Hi I have a question, why are you just using the Evil Power Deck? for the bosses you use the boss deck or not? the Warlord is a boss or not?!
Good question. The Warlord is not a "boss" (thank goodness). Boss's have player boards similar to players. Hope this helps, and happy gaming!
Love the dragon on the right! Is it from Arena?

Hello, also at 47:42, why did you write "sorry, red Orc, you were killed past Range of 3? That attack seems too be at max range 8, right?
You are correct ... during editing it must have looked like a 3 to me. :)
Thank you for that video! I am almost ready to launch a quest with your explanations!
@David Tran Good luck on your quest!!
I thot you explained that you can't kill an enemy when you missed. As in residual damage cannot finished off an enemy?
Good catch!! Thanks!
Just a note: When you free the prisoners and the Orks spawn they can't be adjecent to each other. Rule is on page 3.
Good catch! Thanks for the note and rules reference. :)

@@DaletheCasualGamer Awesome, thanks for the quick response....there are so many great games to choose from. Makes it kind of difficult to decide.
It really seems repetitive as hell. Uninspiring combat system. No competition against Machina Arcana 2, Sword & Sorcery etc. etc.
