- In this video I install some white vinyl to the black mirror caps to see if they look good with the theme of the truck. Also I have added back in some vinyl to the newly installed illuminated emblem to make it stand out more during the daytime.

Thanks! I have been working with vinyl wraps for years and like most things, if it is a quality product and installed correctly, it will last years. I wrapped an entire Full Size SUV in the same film last year and it survived a 6 month winter just fine.

I like the mods you have done here. I ended up with the black widow 2021 Sierra 1500 AT4. It was hard to go from a fully loaded Ram to this, interior wise. I have the 3.0 turbo diesel and just drove about 700 miles with it this weekend. It did about 17mpg with average speed about 75. So not horrible. I do like the front grill you did. The wraps on the GMC and the mirror covers. But for me the red on the GMC is good given the red accents for the black widow package. But I love how you hid the chrome in the GMC letters.
I was looking at the GMC mirror covers they sell in the gmc site. But was wondering how to remove current covers without messing them up. Thanks again. I’m currently looking to add rear red accent lights when doors open. I currently have front red accent lights. Tell your daughter great job.
I am ordering a white vinyl that matches the paint a little closer. I will probably be filming the removal of the mirror caps too. Thank you for watching and I will let me daughter know she crushed it!

Nicely done, any benefit to removing the mirror caps, especially for a first timer? As a side note, how much additional lift is on that?
There is a benefit taking off the caps since you can wrap around the edge and tuck it in behind. Takes longer, but will last longer too. No lift at all yet. If I do, I think I would only level it.
Are you still liking the S&B CAI? Have you noticed any HP increase or MPG increase? I Love the work you’re doing to the AT4!
I am lovin’ the intake! I have noticed a slight improvement in mpg. The trade off is no more sound baffling from the factory intake. However I am okay with the extra grunt!
What is that red tool you used to push the wrap into the creveces ?

I haven’t with this one. I did with my 6.2 Denali before this truck. It is a lightweight RV, about 6400lbs dry. I will be installing load levelling bags in back which I had in the Denali too. Towed beautifully and was about 80% to capacity. We live in the prairies and camping or boating is always a flat haul too.

Hey Jose, for the illuminated emblem, you will probably only find ebay/amazon type options. Unfortunately GM doesn’t seem to make them for older models. Otherwise you might be able to fabricate something but that might not be worth the effort.

@@OneBadSon sounds like I should do a video on the subject! It’s a tie on looks and performance! The only downside is knowing the interior is getting a refresh soon. But at the end of the day, all of the screens tell all of the same info. I can’t wait for my exhaust to come in too

It is only for the 2019+ Sierras. There are ebay ones but not made by GM and don’t look as good in my opinion
How long have you had your truck? And have you had any problems with it? Engine trouble?
I have had this truck for 3 months now. No issues whatsoever. I had the 6.2L in my 2013 Sierra and also in my wife’s 2016 Escalade. The engine is solid. No issues with any of them in my experience. The Escalade has some other issues not drivetrain related though.
@@Donslife ok. I have one on order. I became a member of a couple Facebook pages for the AT4’s and it just seems like every day there’s someone posting about their truck leaving them stranded, having to be at the dealership more than they get to drive it, or engine failures. Has me a little discouraged about actually buying it.
I can only speak from my experience and I am happy and also not worried, especially while I have warranty. To be fair I think you’ll find comments and testimonials for for all major brands where common issues are discussed. Good news is resale values should stay higher while there is a chip production issue if you keep yours short term.

Sorry Rick, I don’t think so. Not made by GM anyway. I had a 2013 Sierra up until last October and didn’t find anything on that generation unless I went with aftermarket.

How many weeks did it take to get your Sierra? I ordered mine March 30 and haven’t heard anything yet... they said 8-10 weeks but I haven’t head anything form the dealer or GM...
I had been working with the dealership to find me one for about 3 weeks and they snagged one that was incoming to another dealer.

This is product made by GM and is available at the GM dealerships. Ford has some for their vehicles too. I haven't heard of Hyundai having them, sorry.
