Thanks man I appreciate the compliment, having done this on a 2008 Forenza before definitely helped haha but it was 5 yrs ago I did that one lol. It's running and the series ends on Part 7 though! I am actually uploading the ending today!
OK. To install the belt it is necessary to loosen the water pump! Nobody said that! The problem I have now is that even though the timing is set I cannot turn the camshaft, after 1/4 turn the camshaft cannot be turned!
Hi again! I always just used new oil (cheap) but yes you definitely want to lube up all contact spots on the cams and when dropping in the lifters on the sides and top! These are the only areas that're important. Assuming you already bled your lifters out, dont forget that before install! If you pulled your fuel pump fuse like me, you will leave it out once finished and turn the car over for 20-30 seconds. This'll prime the engine with fuel as well as oil, so nothing will be dry and it'll start up quicker.
Can anyone help me? PLS! The problem I have now is that even though the timing is set I cannot turn the camshaft, after 1/4 turn the camshaft /crankshaft cannot be turned!
This is absolutely unrealistic. I haven't been able to put on my timing belt for three days! The tensioner is ok in the left position, I start from the right side to finish with the tensioner, but there are a few millimeters missing to put the strap on the tensioner. This is a crazy system
I got a 2006 Suzuki foreza and my car is blowing wite smoke the oil is like mud you show a lot on your video like to do it my self but I don't want to mess nothing up
Hi Glen and thanks for the comment! Take your time and go through the whole video series here and order your parts ahead of time! It's not too difficult if you follow all the steps because I show the entire process here from start to end, it just takes time to do it right. Charm.li is a great FREE website to help you with all the torque sequences and all too. Rockauto is where you go for the parts and take the head to a good machinist! Have them install the new valve seals the headgasket kit comes with and mill it flat. Some busy shops will try to talk you out of valve seals, install them and insist on it. You will need at minimum a torque wrench for reassembly, a small vice to bleed your lifters before reinstalling them, and a couple specialty sockets you can get from harbor freight I have listed in the description as well and some paint markers help a ton too. I believe your 06 is the slightly revised engine where the EGR is a little different than mine and uses a different style gasket. I had to do this on a 2008 I did years ago, the gasket had to purchased extra and was like $50-60. Make sure you flush the car really really well with water then flush that out with the proper coolant I use here luckily it's affordable so using an extra gallon of coolant wont set you back and you know it's all fresh coolant. I had to replace the heater core in the dash after I got this running because the wrong coolant hurt the car so bad but my other 2008 Forenza was totally fine after. Also, PROTIP: take intake manifold and throttle body somewhere to get professionally cleaned. I spent $150 in brake fluid and I am not kidding lol it also took FOREVER! My time would have been better spent doing other stuff to the car and paying $150 for a machine shop or someone to soda blast the stuff and be done in 10% of the time it took me. Both Forenzas I had were exactly the same about this too, so expect yours to as well, clean the head really well too. Take out all sensors before cleaning too lol I screwed up one not removing it in a hurry.

Hello!
It"s me again!
I bought Permatex 81950 Ultra Slick Engine Assembly. Question: use on lifters and cams? Or where else?
