This song is a true test of time ....... epitome of longevity.......timeless!
$tack din3ro yes! scott storch really did his thing. smh at him a while back...he'd fallen on hard times.
The melody brings memories back…feels like crying in the world where we are all lost…open eyes still closed…somebody lost someone…crying in the corner where nobody sees you…how this melody breaks me down…each time…but somehow it gives me hope like you…reading this still…just remember people are in much worse place you are in…the grass never has been greener on the other side…be patient…you got me…peace

Thank you for this.
💛
Peace 🔥
Im from AZ, dated a beautiful soul from Jersey. This was our song. 5 years from the split im finally hearing this again.
Back to the times when hip hop was hip hop.
Lyrics.. And passion was something special.
Its 2023 and at 42, I'm still 100%in love woth this song and many others in the same genre. Huge S/O to #Roots #EricaBadu and #Eve
Emphasis on the "100%"
38 and same
Jill Scott also ❤❤
The woman singing is so beautiful in her own way. Just loved that smile of hers.
Eryka badu
Rachendra Pyakurel Sis that's the legendary Miss Erykah Badu
Get to know the name...
her own way naw brah period these is real women
Miss when Kats rapped this way to their Woman. Classically articulated, and Erykah hasn't aged a bit.
Yeah instead of some of the Crude, Rude, disrespectful lyrics presented and accepted in the industry today.
When rappers actually told stories. Who else miss those days?
Factual stories!!! 100%!!!!
days never left, theres still hella rappers that tell stories like Saba
Exactly
👋🏽
I do
If there ever was a top 100 all time greatest hip hop songs list, this would have to be on it.
Yep
Top 50 easy in my opinion, not just top 100.
@@leungsz both of yall trippin. Top 25 easy.
i guess top 25
True that🎶🇿🇦🇩🇪
This has been one of my favorite songs for over a decade. When those drums kick in at 3:35, just takes the song to another level. So sweet it makes you wanna cry.
The drop in drums and video is excellent
That’s when I turn it off
As a learning drummer it’s one of the most fun parts of the song
@@Joop175 You weak
Just read a tweet from Quest that part was influenced from their time in London and Jungle scene over there ;)
Quest is on a whole other level musically, the drums on this track are fucking impeccable
🔥👏🔥
The smoothness of Eve's verse is dope!
Ni'Sheerer Colbert knew she sounded familiar
That's erykah badu not eve !!
abdessamad el hilali The song actually features both Erykah Badu and Eve. Badu sings the hook and Eve raps part of the second verse.
Tim Graf you're right she's doing the rap part on the 2nd verse but the voice nuance is close to erykah's
It's always nice to know that someone has your back...this song embodies this truth. Pure fire!
Erykah is SOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO BEAUTIFUL!!!
QUEEN BADU
Yes she is
Y'all shown no love for Eve on this track. She deserves more recognition she is a talented rapper
Alot of people still don't even know that's her rapping....
I never noticed it was her 😮
THATS EVE'S VOICE🎙🎶
I'LL GIVE PROPS TO RUFF RYDER EVE 👏👏👏👍
@@bigheartbigcaps2977 you can tell her voice and her style.
She's another beautiful one she caught her a billionaire.
Why is Eve not listed???
Still bumping this in 2017
Xiro but it's still...nvm

Xiro 🙌🏽🙌🏽🙌🏽
Xiro
Xiro still.. from Romenia too! în 2017
This song still bangs out even in 2016. Being born in the 80s it's hard for me to get down with contemporary hip hop.
