I met 1 of General Pattons photographers. Omg the pictures in and around his house are amazing. Even with Patton and his troops pissing in the Rine River.
Enjoyed this video of the veteran tanky taking part in your video ...... but... probably trigger some very bad memories for him. Salute to him and his service. Survivor !
my uncle was in a tommy cooker his tank was hit by armour piercing round his crew were killed he was severely injured the germans rescued him and treated his wounds given up as KIA by the British, he was later confirmed POW by a german who wrote to his mother via red cross later in the war
Not a ww2 sherman....its a canadian grizzly..a training vehicle which never saw action...its prob one sold as surplus by portugal in 1984....and most were repainted as ww2 shermans..it has standard cdp tracks instead of the ww2 us rubber block ones...a dead giveaway to it's TRUE identity
the whole Sherman thing, its ridiculous. the number one safest 'frontline' role on the allied side was a Sherman crew member. only 1 in 30 ended up a casualty and only a fraction of those were deaths.
gotta love nick and phil top fellas 👍🇬🇧

Cheers such a fun episode...beautiful Canadian made tank made not far from my home. Amazing that it survived.
I have a photo of Tom, my son and 2 opposing shells from a Tiger and Sherman. The tiger shell was as tall as my lad!

yes a grizzly al right ,although those were NOT cdp (canadian dry pin) tracks, those where T49 tracks (or T56)
There's a guy in Las Vegas I saw on pawn stars fully equipped and fully operational. $1.3 million

They also put wood by the tracks so the Germans couldn't use magnetic mines on them.
