The joy Lael brought to so many people as she rolled thru their towns was amazing, congratulation Lael on beating your goal. Lael you are Legend.I’m so happy that your route took you thru my home town and I was able to see you and ride just awhile with you. 😊😊😊
Well said. Lael rode by my current house and my childhood home (which is right off the rail/trail she rode on) all in a span of two days. This event will always top anything cycling for me. So happy for Lael and what she accomplished.
So cool and inspirational to follow Leal around the and to listen to her daily podcast with Rue. I’m going to miss my daily check-in and will feel a bit lost. Wait a minute! Perhaps I can fix that with a bike ride. 😊 🚴💨💨💨
lucky enough to ride with her as she passed through Adelaide - this truly was a global event and Lael is an absolute inspiration to so many. How she is still smiling after that crazy daily mileage is beyond me. CHAPEAU!
Incredible achievement! Amazing athlete. Super kudos to her team & sponsors. The logistics required to keep her on goal & safe are also nothing short of amazing. Great job here Chad showcasing Lael. 🙏
She is so amazing. That mileage in her legs, and she is all cheers. Would anyone know if there will be some sort of documentary of that ride? Lael's partner is a videographer, if I recall correctly.
She skipped Africa, Asia and South America….. so what if she cycled around a car park for the equivalent of 18,000 miles. Technically that cycling the width of the world
I joined Lael for a few miles departing Oklahoma City. Unfortunately, I missed her stop and joined her and about 10 other riders, so I didn't get to chat much. I wanted to ask her how her fitness/body/mental/emotional state has changed throughout the ride and what, if any, challenges she has dealt with. Any chance you got to discuss this topic with her? Thanks!
Amazing rider, never could do it. Big big kudos. But the bikepacking record around the world still has Jenny Graham. She really rode around the world in her own. Whatch her documentary. Mind blowing what humans can do.
Most professional cycling videos put the kilometres on screen if the video says miles, and vice-versa. Zipp's a global brand so the failure to do that in this video stands out as a miss.
This should not be approved as an attempt to cycle around the world, but instead an attempt to see how fast you can cycle +18000 km. These are 2 very different events.
9:37 Michael Wilson and other dude. Shame on you two not wearing a helmet amongst all the others. Given the context of this, there should be no question to wear one. especially when there are little kids around and other novices that may not be aware of all the things that could go wrong. Dipshit on hi-vis cervelo, shame on you for crossing over yellow line into oncoming traffic to take a picture. talk about gambling with your life. It just something a cyclist should never do even on roads with little traffic. just bad ju-ju
The last one I'll give you but not the helmet one. I wear one but it's personal choice, the statistics are sketchy to say the least. You are more likely to have an accident wearing one as you tend to take more risks. Australia made helmets compulsory decades ago, this led to a massive drop in cycling, which in turn created more health problems. Cycling without a helmet still outweighs not cycling at all with length and quality of life. There are only very specific types of crashes where a helmet will help. They can be next to useless in collision with motor vehicles.

Fella, if you're unhappy with your own accomplishments in life get off your bitter backside and do something. Look forward to your attempt at the world record.

Amazing video and one of the best interviews/set of questions I've seen with Lael. What an achievement. Mentally and physically. I'm so humbled.
Lael brought the world together! Incredible!
Good demo by Lael of zone 2 riding to put in all those miles.
Lael rocks. What an incredible endurance athlete. I love a strong woman like that. You go sister.
Several years ago I saw an interview of her. She was such a happy person with a positive vibe. That's the secret sauce to her success.
Awesome achievement 😊
It’s getting more challenging to get around the world
Just a fantastic video/interview/showcase.

My friend got to ride with her from Columbus to Newark, Ohio. 60 miles of her 240 mile day😮😅

I believe he did it with a support crew, but Lael didn't. So it's considered a different record
