Welcome back Mr Harper. You’ve been sorely missed. Why don’t you use an IK Foamer for wheels and tires? Also miss your narration and when you flash onscreen the products you use Happy Holidays
nice work! Ive stopped using Bilt Hamber wheel cleaner.. prefer P&S brake buster now as a one stop solution as it has multiple uses. I still have surfex though as its so versatile. I do want to try Car Pro Retyre as ive heard its amazing if i chose to use a seperate wheel cleaner and tyre cleaner. Im also going to stop using bilt hamber touchless and auto foam. I mean i love it as its so good, but the ph is simply too high and strips away protection so easily. Its very useful I guess for pros like you who have to do multiple cars in different states. I Did find it easier using in an IK foamer rather than in my snow form lance, as i defo then got the perfect mix, it does lift grime so easily. Im going to go back to Koch Chemie foams or Car Pro Lift i think.
Thanks Steve. Brake Buster and BH wheel cleaner are different products. Brake Buster is a cleaner and Auto Wheel is an iron remover, so I would still keep auto wheel for deep cleans, or Korrosol. Koch Chemie do a decent foam, but I’m unsure about the PH as I haven’t looked in to it 👍🏼

what’s interesting with range rovers is the more expensive color option you pick, the worse the finish gets. sanding marks behind the badges, rotary buffer trails and crappy texture seem to be the norm.
Hi just a quick question I have a four month old 2024 Astra and I'm wanting to give it it's first wash and polish after the p.d.i clean before I took ownership of the car . And I was wondering if after I've washed it and polished the car would it OK to use Autoglyms ceramic spray on top of the polish, plus is something I must put on before the ceramic spray? Gav.
Hi Gavin, I imagine it would be fine to do. It would probably be best to wipe the car with a panel prep beforehand so the spray wax adherers to the paint instead of sitting on the polish. If it was a true ceramic coating you have to wipe it down with an panel prep/alcohol, but you will probably be fine with this spray sealant
With is being a ceramic spray/quick Detailer I honestly wouldn’t worry about doing this step. It will make a marginal difference. I use 99% IPA diluted to 50% with water

The only reason I rinse from the bottom up is so I can see exactly where I have been with my pressure washer, as it’s the pressure of the water that removes the underlying dirt.
