    nice work!
    Ive stopped using Bilt Hamber wheel cleaner.. prefer P&S brake buster now as a one stop solution as it has multiple uses. I still have surfex though as its so versatile. I do want to try Car Pro Retyre as ive heard its amazing if i chose to use a seperate wheel cleaner and tyre cleaner.
    Im also going to stop using bilt hamber touchless and auto foam. I mean i love it as its so good, but the ph is simply too high and strips away protection so easily. Its very useful I guess for pros like you who have to do multiple cars in different states. I Did find it easier using in an IK foamer rather than in my snow form lance, as i defo then got the perfect mix, it does lift grime so easily. Im going to go back to Koch Chemie foams or Car Pro Lift i think.

    • @HarpersCarDetailing
      @HarpersCarDetailing  10 місяців тому

      Thanks Steve.
      Brake Buster and BH wheel cleaner are different products.
      Brake Buster is a cleaner and Auto Wheel is an iron remover, so I would still keep auto wheel for deep cleans, or Korrosol.
      Koch Chemie do a decent foam, but I’m unsure about the PH as I haven’t looked in to it 👍🏼

    Hi just a quick question I have a four month old 2024 Astra and I'm wanting to give it it's first wash and polish after the p.d.i clean before I took ownership of the car . And I was wondering if after I've washed it and polished the car would it OK to use Autoglyms ceramic spray on top of the polish, plus is something I must put on before the ceramic spray? Gav.

    • @HarpersCarDetailing
      @HarpersCarDetailing  6 місяців тому +1

      Hi Gavin,
      I imagine it would be fine to do.
      It would probably be best to wipe the car with a panel prep beforehand so the spray wax adherers to the paint instead of sitting on the polish. If it was a true ceramic coating you have to wipe it down with an panel prep/alcohol, but you will probably be fine with this spray sealant

    is there a reason why you start at the bottom of the vehicle and wash the muck and debris "up" the body of the car? and crusty im with you on that one! 250k for a range rover! erm... no thanks.. they got problems.. lol good job though !

    • @HarpersCarDetailing
      @HarpersCarDetailing  10 місяців тому

      The only reason I rinse from the bottom up is so I can see exactly where I have been with my pressure washer, as it’s the pressure of the water that removes the underlying dirt.
      If you start from the top then you would dilute the foam below and it would run off the panel, so you don’t necessarily know where you have rinsed, therefore you could very easily miss a spot.
      The pre-rinse stage is arguably one of the most important stages so I need to be thorough 👍🏼

      That’s right, this is how cars should be washed.
      Good for you if you enjoy washing your own car.
      This ‘trend’ is my job. In exchange for a clean car, people pay me.
      Not everyone has the time or can be bothered to clean their own car.

    Really poor display of top down two buckst method there, one of the worst i remember in recent time.
    You did the bonnet and front bumper followed by the roof. In addition, you then washed one of the dirtiest parts of the car being the sill before washing the boot? Wtf?
    Surely it would have been correct if doing top down (as you highlighted in another post to someone else on thia video) to go roof, then the glass around the vehicle x2 and rinse and start splitting the panels and do the sills entirely separately after the other areas?

    • @HarpersCarDetailing
      @HarpersCarDetailing  10 місяців тому +1

      This is why the prewash stage is so important.
      A stronger chemical on the lower sections, and front in summer for bug splatter and a very thorough rinse.
      If the lower section still has contamination which is picked up in the wash mitt then I will pressure wash it on a gym mat to remove any dirt.
      You would need a separate wash mitt for every side of the car if you are wanting to be over the top, but following a decent prewash and the rinse bucket makes this safe.
