@@GullYYGamer 3 star roads are not as bad as they seem. Most people just have the same knee jerk reaction saying that roads are trash now, but in reality yaddak is still strong. The population the roads give still has an insane star:pop ratio.
@@henrymccoy2306 and yet they're still good. The roads may be 3 stars but they give yaddak an extra 2 moves for expansion (which snowballs later on) and also gives them a still relatively cheap way to level up cities. They're not the strength they were before obviously but they're still viable.
@@MemePiano69 You mention an insane star:pop ratio but the star:pop ratio is now worse then all basic resource tribes. And, it still comes with the downside of not letting you level up your expands for workshops without extra techs. I agree a lot of people are overreacting but to say they're still strong is wrong imo. Just extremely mediocre now. They've been well balanced.
Got a new challenge game idea. Dont use any tier 3 tech, if that is too easy you can up the difficulty by allowing yourself only a fixed number of tier 2 tech. If you really want to have tier 3 tech but still limit the amount of tech you can also rule that you can only take a fixed number of science upgrades.
mooni’s do not have the skate ability which lets units like the ice sled move further on ice. getting glide gives more movement to non skate units when on ice (one of which is the mooni) the extra movement he got from the glide tech allowed the mooni to move 2 tiles instead of 1, freezing 3 catapults and a giant, rendering them all useless. because of that, he didn’t have enough units to kill all the daggers that spawned from the cloaks, and he wins.
Ai-mo really is kinda trash. The starting tech is very important for a proper chance, and meditation is just worthless. Only lets you make mountain temples (as a starting tech? Bruh) and that alter of peace, but 1 enemy and you probably dont get it untill way later in the game when yiu dont need it anymore. It needs a real benefit. Maybe get mindbenders with meditation? And mountain temples and something else cool for philosophy? Also unreted but it would be cool if when you land on a village you get the option to either capture, or ask directions (7x7 square vision but the further away the less percentual chance you have of uncovering the clouds) wich makes you have to wait a turn to capture it. I just could imagine villagers having a knowing of their surroundings, and if you ask theyll gove it to you😂 Just came up with a new one. A battleship, that hives you 3 shots. And you can focus the shots on any 3 tiles you want. Or 2, or 1, bevause you can also focus them on a single tile. So maybe 1 shot does 7 damage to a warrior, 2 on the same tile would kill a swordsman, and 3 would do like 25 damage? A giant getting blasted with a battle ship would do real damage. Its a good way of nerfing the bombers bc they way to powerfull. Which is fun, but not fair for tribes that arent kickoo.
Ai-Mo has a decent niche in my opinion. If you are in a crowded map, you can get organization or hunting and get an explorer. The stars from exploring will net you philisophy, and by then you shouldn't be far from your Altar of Peace. From there, you'll be able to develop easier than your opponents and win the game. Obviously it's not a perfect strategy. For example if you don't have 2 animals or fruit in your capital, or if you aren't able to survive without attacking someone, hence why it's only a niche. Though it is a fun niche whenever it works. Also, the directions idea defeats the purpose of ever picking explorer, and the bomber idea seems convoluted and just generally a bad idea.

Is that normal? Since you're uploading polytopia videos for years, i have to ask: "Could i have done better?" Great vids to learn btw, subbed instantly.
They’re only op in Continents or waterworld(for obvious reasons). Not as good on dry lands because their strongest attribute gets rendered useless. However, because their spawn always guarantees 2 fish, they’re able upgrade their capital in turn 1 which puts them up there in early game expansion with Imperius and Bardur. Overall, I think bardur and Imperius are better, but kickoo is up there. I would rank Bardur and Imperius S and kickoo A with zebasi

You should play random 4 person games. I find that the most challenging/entertaining. 1 on 1 gets way too systematic.

No taking bordergrowth made it much more complicated I’d say - this is why I love the fact that you have to upgrade ships within your borders!

ai mo is fine. the 3 pop they get on turn 5 makes them better than hoodrick, quetzali, and a lot of the non t0s.
I had an idea that meditations give extra healing on defendable tiles, dunno how strong that is tho
