awesome guide! as a newer player on ios it was especially useful to see how detailed you are with the population and giants analysis i also really appreciate the early -> mid -> mid/late game breakdown and what makes ai mo different
I needed this my 1st match in the discord was with aimo and it was bad but i think thats mostly due to still not being familiar with contents 2v2 generations
Everyone has their own way and that's ok 😁We're showing the most effective strategies. We'll be happy if you try them out but if you prefer your own approach better then no worries 😉
Absolutely. And I especially love the fact that it's actually helped me with strategy in the early game. I play alot of aimo till cymanti came out. I'd love to see one for cymanti
Glad you like the guide. Yeah, Ai-Mo is still not a great tribe compared to other tribes. Its okay, not good, not bad. But other tribes will still be stronger
@@polychampions do you think it makes sense to go philosophy before markets and knights, but after establishing water presence? so lets say after 5th city; main problem i have is that whoever gets into water first wins and even if i defend well with stronger eco (than the enemy) there is no way to get back to sea; so this is the problem with going philo after 3rd base; well of course main problem is bad balance of game vs t0 tribes and elyrion and cymanti hehe
That was a pretty neat strategies! I would live a strategy techs guide since i keep losiny early to Xin-xi either swordsman at turn 5-8 and to much more tribe.
Yes, we'll cover all including the special tribes. You're lucky because April is the xin-xi month so there will be a guide about them in the coming weeks.
Everything that you said was perfect except for the "get philosophy for 13 stars" this is gonna work on large maps or something more but on small maps or tiny maps this philosophy needs time to recover the lost stars and on the small maps you need to be aggressive - get ports and other techs fast. I still think that philosophy rush is good on small maps that are not drylands though
Agreed. Philosophy rush is better for large maps. Smaller maps, like tiny, you usually do not go for Phillo. Philo for 13 is situational and more for regular maps. As with everything in polytopia, it depends on resources, how many opponents, and map types
@@ivanf9401 depends on your situation, if i have parallel resources i usually avoid it, otherwise i still think it's worth to take Philosophy to be able to upgrade your cities tryna get the workshop

Thank you 😊 We tried our best to show all the aspects of playing Ai-mo and are so glad you enjoyed it.
I bought ai-mo, entered the polytopia twitter account and found a tweet about this video😂 ai-mo destiny alignment
Destiny 💯 percent! So cool 😎 Enjoy your Ai-mo experience
18:18 That Philosophy Oumaji versus Rider Roads Bardur on that version of the game is one of the most legendary games of all time, just pure genius
Do you know where one can find a replay? :o or like where did you see this game? :)
The oumaji player in that game looks really sweaty ngl
Here is the link to the Oumaji v Bardur game share.polytopia.io/g/e2d90e3b-ac94-4843-ce83-08db7ff6f749
Yes. Excellent game
I put a link to the replay in the description
@@louisraphael1727 yeah, I'm not able to post links since they're deleted by the spam filter, but polychamps has us covered. What nice guys
I love this, we need more guides for the other tribes

The beat part about mind benders is when you successfully convert a _centipede!_
Yeah, converting with a mind bender is so satsifying. Centipede is hard to pull off
oh wow, decided to play ai-mo 3 days ago, then i go on youtube and it recommends me an 8 days old ai mo guide! :D
Thank you 😊
You're welcome! So glad you found us ♥️
Been waiting for this Ai-Mo guide for a while. I never could figure out the best strategy for them. Thanks!
Glad to help!
8:12 Saw the swordsman in the corner and was confused on Quetz went for Smithery so early on before I saw it was a veteran from a ruin, lol
Yeah. Sword ruins can also be fun to mind bend :)

Yup. Once you learn how the tribes work, you do much better

Love the video, we need more in depth videos like this for the more mid tier tribes
Thanks. We will probably make more strategy guides for tribes later
Thanks! I'm learning ai-mo and this helps a lot
Glad to hear it!
Great video! Thanks for the help especially to the players! 🦆
Happy to help!
We need more videos like this! Looking forward to all guides for all tribes.
There will be more. The plan is to cover all the tribes. The regular tribes first and, after the remake, also the special tribes. Stay tuned!
this is great guide, thought i still keep losing with aimo vs other stronger tribes hehe

Mines + giants works rlly well for spamming juggernauts, combined with some cannon ships my opponents didn’t stand a chance

Ai mo is difficult but solid
And peaceful ☺️ ☮️✌️
Now I'm waiting for an Elyrion guide. And I think, they should get mathematics asap. Am I right?
Elyrion guide would be good. Generally, you want forestry and sanctuaries
Thanks for the feedback
15:39 did the ethnicity really matter? Nice guide!
The tribe matters because it starts with different tech. Thanks

Yeah, the folks in Poly Legends were so helpful with this. Great people there
Ai mo vs ai mo? Civil war, hehe
