@DeltaGem weird cuz I JUST played Icy Peak and "They fucked it up" is not at all what I thought. It sounds incredibly faithful... Either way, doesn't matter... You can choose classic or revised so...
Spyro music has always been amazing but Frozen Alters is on a whole new level. I haven't played Spyro in years and this is still one of my go to video game songs to listen to. Both old and new versions are perfect.
@@dreamcastdazia4753 This sounds so faithful to the original, the same sounding instruments and sounds are still here :P But each to their own, I particularly like it
Raphael Sanding Jr Yeah. I guess they wanted to make the remastered games more unique and do their own thing here. I like that and that we can switch music.
The last time I heard this song was when the original Spyro 3 came out...I played the reignited trilogy and heard this song again...Idk what it was but I felt like Raven from Thats So Raven and had an immediate flashback to my childhood when I first heard this song....I couldn't help but cry because it made me realize how much I loved spyro as a kid and the music reflects it.💜
This song is my childhood. This was my favourite level in Spyro 3 on PS1 and it still gets me really excited to go in it. This music is one reason. It's really cold here. So cold that cars are breaking down and electronics are breaking. But listening to this while seeing a blanket of white outside is really cool. It fits it so perfectly.
"Brr....I don't know why, but I feel reeeaally cold...." I love love love Frozen Altars, it's my favourite portal but God knows how much I miss the original penguins' voices 😔
There's no way in hell this is better... but it's good i suppose, i can accept it because they've given us the original soundtrack too... if i was forced to play with the Reignited OST i wouldn't even want to play it.
It took me until the remake to realise you're not supposed to glide across the rooftops to reach the frustrating rooftop near the temple, but instead do a much easier glide from the temple itself. *YEARS* of my childhood spent not realising that. It *is* doable the rooftop way but omg, the number of times 9/10 year old me sobbed and bit my controller making it way harder than need be, only to discover last week you can just glide from the temple. *headdesk*
This was the most 90s sounding track in the entire game. It feels like the into to an educational vhs tape, that vaporwave artists borrow visuals from.
UA-cam is getting scary. I just played this stage yesterday and when I open the app, this is on the top of my Recommendations. And that's the second time it happens to me.
This came on in my car on UA-cam music the other day while I was waiting at some traffic lights. I giggled and then began to sing some rather odd and overly sexual lyrics along to the beat. I then burst out laughing and a pedestrian stared at me like I was a lunatic.
I’ve always thought this theme was more reminiscent of a jungle than a tundra, what with the marimbas and the pan flute. Still a great song and great re-orch.
Sounds like the type of flute music ive heard from simbas pride However I do love this version but its missing the original bbb bi noise from the original
I see people praising a lot of songs in this game for being faithful to the original. But isn’t the point of remixing the soundtrack to NOT sound extremely faithful to the original? Especially since we can just listen to the original while playing anyway?
I love the Spyro games but it's always bothered me how generic the soundtrack is. This song, however, is really good! I was impressed when I got to this level.
This is one of a few examples in which the remastered soundtrack failed to deliver an impressive result. Like, the remastered one has fantastic instrument choices, but they got rid of the knocking sound (not sure what auxiliary percussion it is) that really complements the softer instruments in this soundtrack. The instrument is used at 0:31 in this video featuring the original track : /watch?v=nsJiAufvs5M Edit: I might be a bit harder on this because I love the original. Don't get me wrong, like I said above, the remastered has fantastic instrument choices, I just really feel it misses that punch.
Probably the best in the entire ost tbh
@DeltaGem weird cuz I JUST played Icy Peak and "They fucked it up" is not at all what I thought. It sounds incredibly faithful... Either way, doesn't matter... You can choose classic or revised so...
I miss the background vocals
This one is beautiful, but I miss the strange electronic noise the original had on this track. The flutes sound beautiful though.
Fireworks factory original man
Easily, considering it’s one of the few songs I actually remember outside of the game :/
I remember staying in frozen altars even after completing it just to relax to the music. You know it is a damn good soundtrack when.
Absolutely loved this level. Shame about the minigames being EXTREMELY irritating.
Liam Roberts fuck that yeti boxing game man
This soundtrack and the music in Summer Forest or Autumn Plains (Spyro 2) can make me stay for hours there
I like the old song more but this one is good too 😉👌
Same here, I often enter into some of the worlds again just to listen to the music, specifically this one and Fireworks Factory 😊
Spyro music has always been amazing but Frozen Alters is on a whole new level. I haven't played Spyro in years and this is still one of my go to video game songs to listen to. Both old and new versions are perfect.
It makes me cry, it reminds me of when I was 4 years old and I played Spyro on my PlayStation, what good times 😭😪
I’m crying. Just completed frozen altars. Sooooo good!

It makes me cry, it reminds me of when I was 4 years old and I played spyro on my PlayStation, what good times 😭😪
Who cares about sex when we have frozen altars level
This is actually a decent track. It's very faithful compared to some other track in year of the dragon
You must be smoking. This is one of the less faithful tracks in the game. Besides 2 others including this the rest if the tracks are fine
@@dreamcastdazia4753 This sounds so faithful to the original, the same sounding instruments and sounds are still here :P But each to their own, I particularly like it
Dreamcast Dazia you’re one of that people bitchin about everything that’s NOT original.
True plus it sounds more awesome and calming
Too bad they gave the penguins white smuges on their DAMN eyes and their haircuts are off too
@@ZOWi_tuby Like Delta Gem ?
I missed hearing the "Ba Ba Ba Ba Ba" sounds from the original version. It really made this ice level a happiest place on Earth.
i know exactly what you mean
Raphael Sanding Jr Yeah. I guess they wanted to make the remastered games more unique and do their own thing here. I like that and that we can switch music.
I love that part of the song. Only a few songs I’ve played ever used whatever it was.
Danny Hargreaves I think those are supposed to be chimes.
Game Hero95 The wah wah wah wah wah wah wah sound percussive in sound.
Almost sounds like something David Wise would make.
Love that legend
It really does sound like a David wise track
Yeah, it has some Dkc vibes.
You did good guys...you did good.
This song hits the soul hard!
The flute on this one is actually crazy good, more impressive than the original
The original sounds better to me
@@ClassicGamer9044 Same
@@Strykerry I'm glad Spyro finally got the remastered treatment just like crash did 🤗
BS
This song is better than the original. Most people are just blinded by nostalgia.

BEST LEVEL on spyro and track

I always choose this one now over the original, which is rare with me, but this sounds so good, they did good with it.
This screams Tropical Freeze.
The94Venom ikr! Gives me DK vibes aswell!

Same! Or the yelps the snowmen would do when you hit em with the lazer haha
Ok but why does this actually slap so much
Reminds me of Donkey Kong Country: Tropical Freeze
Whenever I do this level I always get super into this music. This is a really sick beat.
This one's amazing! ♥ I was really afraid they'd screw this one up, but no, dare I say it's better than the original.
It's no where near the original
Dreamcast Dazia original is original. Leave it alone.
I never played the original Spyro so when I went to listen to it , it was good. But I like this version waaaaay more.
There's no way in hell this is better... but it's good i suppose, i can accept it because they've given us the original soundtrack too... if i was forced to play with the Reignited OST i wouldn't even want to play it.
MechaMinilla99 it sounds what as it should. This game is more subtle now and you can’t just throw hard sounds here and there.
It took me until the remake to realise you're not supposed to glide across the rooftops to reach the frustrating rooftop near the temple, but instead do a much easier glide from the temple itself.

I diagnose this as a fuckin bop
This was the most 90s sounding track in the entire game. It feels like the into to an educational vhs tape, that vaporwave artists borrow visuals from.
Whoever came up with the idea of Cat Hockey in the original game deserves a raise! That challenge was so much fun! 😃
UA-cam is getting scary. I just played this stage yesterday and when I open the app, this is on the top of my Recommendations. And that's the second time it happens to me.
best track in the trilogy!
This song feels very RPG and I love it
Easily the best remake
Remake*
This song will always remind me of after Christmas, playing Spyro. New years vibes 🥹♥️
the pads are what elevate this beyond the original. despite some missing instruments the pad add much more emotion to it
I love this track so much
this is the only time In the game where I switch to reignited soundtrack
LOVE THIS TRACK!!!
This is my most favorite music in the game!
Yo I wanna spit over this, someone chop this up
Chill af.
Out of all the tracks they did this one is actually better than the original
I was blown away when I first heard this.
Best ost of entire series
Screaming in pain as I await somebody who will upload the full sONG
It’s basically 90s weather channel music but still works perfectly in this game
This song slaps, could listen for hours
This came on in my car on UA-cam music the other day while I was waiting at some traffic lights. I giggled and then began to sing some rather odd and overly sexual lyrics along to the beat.
I then burst out laughing and a pedestrian stared at me like I was a lunatic.
This remix reminds me of Donkey Kong Country Tropical Freeze. And it sounds really nice and relaxing.
Crying OMG best song ever. I need this game
“Brrr, I don’t know why, but I feel reeeally cold”
-Eustace the Penguin
Just as groovy as the original, but it doesn't sound as "cold". (I'm not sure how else to describe it. This just sounds "warmer".)
It sounds more tropical is why. the bongos and what not
That bassline is really fun to play.
Aside from that oh so distinct sample being completely absent, this is nice.
I wish this was on Spotify 😢 I look all over and it’s not available on it. This is my second favorite song in the entire trilogy 🥲❤
This makes me feel like a kid again
With different instruments this song really starts to sound similar to the stuff the Bruce Faulconer team did for DBZ.
gives me a Ben E King - stand by me and Rusted Root - Send Me On My Way vibes
My favorite track from the Trilogy
Panflute rocks!
This is one of the few tracks in 3 that I enjoy Oh and I heard some Aquaria Towers/Hurricos in there. Nice.
I’ve always thought this theme was more reminiscent of a jungle than a tundra, what with the marimbas and the pan flute. Still a great song and great re-orch.

Frozen altars was one of the few tracks from the game i didn't really enjoy listening to, but i'm pretty sure the reignited version does it justice
No, get the snowmen away from me!

oooooh yeeeeeeeah, that's the stuff
There’s only about 2-3 song where I prefer the Reignited mix. This is easily one of them
that's pretty nice
I'm getting Jak and Daxter vibes from this.
Glad I'm Not The Only one

Henrique Silverio BUILD THE WALL
Henrique Silverio thats kinda gay
I cannot stop listening! Sooooo chilly. I gues the only music i didnt like was Midnight Mountain one.
Missing those dolphin sounds.
When I was a kid I loved to burn the enemies with the laser
Rodrigo Gonzalez yes i loved how their voice would get higher pitched each time
Ha ha, me too. XD I remember being an evil little bastard and scorching mammoths to death with it.
Liam Roberts lol dont feel bad, i did the same thing!
I don't. A lot of the enemies were a tad annoying anyway.
Liam Roberts i loved how the snowman would be like “YOW! YOw! Yow! yow! *POP!* “
When I get my flippers on that rotten bear...
I was scared of the snowman
Does toys for bob have something against samples? Why are all the amen breaks and whatnot gone in the reignited soundtrack?
One of my favorite levels, my absolute least favorite challenge. Idk how I feel about this level
This would be cool remixed like a trap beat
I prefer the original version of Frozen Altars but this is still a fantastic remix just like pretty much every other reimagined track in Reignited.

I personally prefer the original. This one sounds a bit pre-schoolish. Honestly, nothing was going to beat the OG soundtrack anyway to be fair 🤣
